I really enjoyed my three day stay in Korona Pension. The hotel is located in very nice, quiet and green neighbourhood. While is is at quite a distance from the city centre, it has excellent public transport options available. There is very nice and reasonably priced restaurant at the hotel where I dined twice and really enjoyed the food. I recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

The room was clean but seemed to be a smoking one, which was unpleasant for me. When I booked the room I couldn't choose a non-smoking room. The pension is very close the the west motorway exit but is very far from city center or from subway.

Korona Pension is a bit outside of the city and would have been tricky to get to without a car. The hotel is in a quiet residential spot, however and very nice. The breakfast area was not in the same building as the rooms we stayed in which was no problem in the summer. The breakfast was great with many various items and a good start to a day of sightseeing.

The Korona Pantio is a nice hotel out of the city, in a residential area, but close to the center ( 10 mins by car ) good to avoid the jam of the city, and the noise of the central streets, services are provided with gentle and kind way , good breakfast and nice restaurant ( only dinners had ) rooms are cleaned and well served, ther's teh chance to have an appartment too, good the saune ( included ) and the massages ( pay ) provided by a professional woman , correspondence with pics is 100 % , all the employee are gentle and kind, providing their best service. The hotel is the ideal for thise they don't want to stay in the center, and have car, or they like to move with public transport, the area is well served ( almost 24 Hrs )

I choose this hotel because I needed to be a bit out of city centrum because I was picked up by a company and this was the best location to go to my place. So even if I wrote that hotel surroundings were poor, I did choose it and my choice was good.

Nice small pension with good service and breakfast. All questions about public transport, sightseeing, etc. were answered properly. Unfortunately, there was some renovation going on so that it was sometimes noisy. However, they offered a room in a different building what I rejected so that I should not complain. It is a bit far from the city center but the public transport is very good even at night. The city itself is very beautiful especially Buda castle. I can only recommend, even if it is just a short trip, to go and see Budapest.

Only downfall of this property is that is fairly far into Buda and at least a 2500 Forint taxi to the centre of town. We were fortunate to receive one of the pension's neighbouring apartments since we were travelling as 3 people. The apartment was in great shape and was very large and there is a small grocery store a short walk down the road if you want to prepare your own meals. The restaurant next door had great breakfasts (which were included) and also made tasty pizzas for dinner or a late snack. The restaurant had a bonus - very attractive female staff as servers.

As on the stays before, it was absolutly ok! even as we had to change our prior reservation (two people more) it was no problem & the staff was very helpful & competent. the breakfast was great as before - this time we took a dinner at the hotel restaurant - they offered a full range menue - the relationship between price & quality was more than ok! - thanks to the always friedly and smiling staff!

This is a very good deal while staying in Budapest, nice rooms, good breakfast and a very helpfull staff. The hotel is a bit out of the centre, but this allows you to see the "real" city and not just other turists. Excellent bus and tram services makes it easy to reach all the right places, so we will definitely use this hotel again.

Very nice staff and clean rooms make it worth the 45 minute or so commute to the centre of town. The shuttle advertised on this site is not free though, budget 4000 HUFs each way for the hotel shuttle.

We found the room to be very clean and comfortable. we had requested a twin room but when we got there there was only a double available. Apart from this very minor complaint I can highly recommend this hotel to others.

Fantastic! The staff were wonderful, and definitely added to the quality of the stay. You couldn't have asked for better. The restaurant was also excellent, and much better quality and value than in town. Definitely recommended!

The place was nice and the little Italian restaurant very good and friendly. Unfortunately the hotel is quite isolated and it takes a good 25 minutes and 2 types of transport to get to Pest. 2 problems: The AC is not included in the price of the room (extra 10 euros a night) and make sure you pack light as there is no elevator available. There is no hairdryer in the room.

This is a lovely pension but it is far awy from the city center. It takes a bus to get to the stop to take another bus or tram to get to another stop to take another bus, tram, or subway to get to the city center. And the bus service dramatically reduces after 11pm.

Korona Pension was great! A group of 7 of us stayed there for 2 nights in June '05. The Pension is situated slightly out of the centre of Budapest but in a lovely green and quiet part of town. The bus into Budapest goes from right outside the hotel every 10 mins and it's about a 20 minute journey. The rooms were very clean and seemed like they had been recently refurbished. Room 10 is particularly spacious with it's own lounge!! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us. There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel which we ended up eating at both nights...good food and a lot better value than many places in the centre of Budapest. Definitely our favourite hotel of our 2 weeks in Eastern Europe!

The pension is spread across two close-together properties, with a very classy small restaurant: Pizzerea Pronto in the bottom of one where the very good breakfasts are served. On request the day before, they actually called in someone to pepare a superb Paprikach (not on their regular menu). The breakfast staff also had excellent tourist information.

Accettano animali. Vicino all'uscita dell'autostrada ben servito dai mezzi pubblici che portano in 15 minuti in centro.

My mother and I spent 3 nights at this lovely little pension on the outskirts of Budapest. The location is a bit far from the city center, and we even considered moving to a place that was closer, but because the pension staff was so friendly and helpful, we decided to stay. Once we figured out the bus system it was an easy 20-25 minute ride. A taxi is about 10 euro. The room was large and spacious and spotlessly clean. It looked out onto a beautiful garden and was very quiet. My only complaint is that because some of the people that work the desk tend to smoke, the smoke seeps up into the rooms. We left our window open so that we wouldn't be breathing smoke all night long which seemed to work fine. The enormous breakfast was delicious--a wonderful selection of cheeses and coldcuts, bread, yogurt, cereal, eggs and bacon, sausages, and juices. Our last day, a very sweet young man from the hotel drove us to the train station, waited while we stored our luggage, drove us to the metro, and helped us secure tickets to Szendtenre, a charming riverside town outside Budapest. He spoke beautiful English and pointed out the sites along the way. All for about 10 euro. I would highly recommend Pension Korona! The staff goes out of their way to make your stay special.

The service and cleanliness were much better as in Budapest hotel (4-star-category), where I stayed the night before. The service team was really friendly. Korona offers a rich breakfast buffet and a transfer service to the airport which is cheaper than the airport taxi. To the city center it's about 20 minutes by bus (every ten minutes, only the last bus to the pension leaves at about 11 pm). A small disadvantage: It's a bit noisy (not at night but in the morning): if your room is on the street side, you better leave the windows shut.
