A classic Berlin 'pension' on the upper floor of a 19th century town house. Perfectly adequate as a place to sleep, though I wouldn't have wanted to share my twin room with a second body - a single room with two beds really! Breakfast being included is a real bonus these days, and the buffet means you can stoke (I don't mean 'stock' - that is basically theft)up for the day, though some fresh fruit (fruit of any sort in fact) would be nice. Note: the toilet for Rooms 1&2 is across the main reception hall/lounge area.

good: I was offered to decide between two different rooms (without asking for it) not so good: bed was not straight and thus a bit uncomfy, thin walls, shower&toilet are very small

The whole place is sad and tired and could do with a refurbish. We love its excellent position and the Old world atmosphere, but no sink plug, broken wardrobe door and no towel change spoilt the stay.

Especially the room "Mommseneck" was very small and the eqipment in this room was not in a good condition; generally i did not get the expected value for money.

Nice Hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very well located and easy to reach with tram, metro and bus. Hotel decisamente carino, le camere sono pulite e l'ambiente è confortevole. Situato in posizione centrale e facilmente raggiungibile con i mezzi pubblici.

all things worked perfectly, from booking to what I expected with my family. Personnel does not speak a word in English and you have to try. Anyway, an optimum ratio price/quality. Location is perfect, near the best commercial road in Berlin and good restaurants, near bus stop to/from Tegel Airport.

Great little hotel right in the middle of Berlin's equivalent of The Kings Road, London. Tucked away behind Kurfurstendam (bit too early for me for the correct spelling! Google it!) Loads of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, some extremely pricey, we were on a bit of a low budget, family of 4, breakfast at the hotel was fine, typically continental which is refreshing for a Brit like me, orange juice and coffee, yoghurt, cereal, croissant, rolls, selection of meats and eggs. Toast your own toast, jams and my sons favourite Nutella, all in a nice big dining room on a large oval table, you can even talk to the other guests if you like! Rooms have massive ceilings, 15ft! Very clean, changed every day, powerful showers, we stayed in room number 4 which overlooked Momsenstrasse, not a problem since I like being nosey! Our room had a double and 2 single beds, we slept like logs. Short walk to the subway at Uhlandstrasse or the overground at Sevignyplatz, we took the overground to Potsdam, nice. From the airport use the overground straight to Sevignyplatz and then it's a 2 minute walk. A clean hotel in a cool location. (free wifi worked well)

My room was ok, but my colleague's room was more like a broom cabinet. The public dining area was rather dark and sadly the nicer view from the window blocked off by the Hotel's office area. What a shame. The seating arrangements round a communal breakfast table would not suit everyone. The best feature of the "Hotel" is the nice and quiet and well located surrounding area.

Cheap, but definitely value for money. Rooms small, but adequate and clean. Good bed. WiFi weak. Public area is small and private but with a heavy smell of smoke. A number of restaurants within minutes. A good place to sleep.

The fact that there was no 24 hr desk was a big drawback for us as we had to leave early because of family illness and flight disruption due to volcanic ash. Nobody could speak English so this was an added problem. The hotel did however kindly let us use their computer which we greatly appreciated even with the language barrier. The breakfast was great if not sumptious. The en suite was tiny but we managed - a bigger person would have great difficulty. As a central place to stay we would definitely recommend the hotel for a short stay, maybe not for more than a few days. Bring a phrase book or dictionary!

The location is great, very close to some of the most important steets of Berlin. I would definitely recomend this hotel for everybody.

Our room was really big but I think they gave us a family room (there were 4 beds in the room!). I don't know about the other rooms.. The best of the hotel is relationship price/quality.

the big advantage of the b&b is the surrounding. within a few 100 meters lots of nice restaurants, public traffic (s- bahn) veryl close- only 5 minutes walk. b&b good for a short stay. our double room was VERY small, pretty noisy in the morning, breakfast was ok, but very basic.

The hotel is on the second floor of a nice old building. Two rooms do not have a toilet in the room but on the floor. After talking to the manager the next morning we were moved to a very nice room with shower and toilet. The hotel is ideal for city-trips, situated near Kurfürstendam. Next time we book this hotel again.

This very comfortable, pension-style hotel has a charm of its own, reminiscent of visiting grandma's. Anyone used to larger hotels and not equipped with a cellphone may miss the convenience/privacy of an in-room telephone, and find the decor a bit casual. The high ceilings give the place a certain old-world grandeur, while the location makes it an ideal base for visiting Berlin. Good value in an expensive city.

I spent 3 nights at Hotel Waizenegger and was extremely pleased. All of the hotel personnel treated us very kindly and I thought the price was very good for the quality of the room! The breakfast was very nice also. The morning that we left we had to leave before breakfast was served, but the manager of the hotel allowed us to take some bread and yogurt and coffee with us. It was a great experience. Thanks from Texas!

Book this hotel only if you want to feel like Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Otherwise, if you don't speak German (or Russian- they speak very good Russian in fact, much better than German), be prepared to misdirections and misunderstandings. Be aware of bill charging. I have paid for a certain "tax" which was not on the prior accordance.

We both felt very much at home. The period features of the house and building were just what we hoped for.Vitali(Owner) and his small team are very much 'on the ball' and couldn't have been more helpful. It was such a pleasent difference from the larger hotels--which can be so impersonal sometimes. We will stay again!

The place is like a boardinghouse/bed-and-breakfast in an old apartment. Rooms are very different. Some beds are sofabeds or roll-aways. But the price for 4 persons incl. breakfast is low considering the location. The place is somewhat worn out but clean. We would use it again.
