Wifi covers only on half the hotel and sometimes and crashes and then you have no Wifi. You hear all your neighbours. Toilets smell sometimes through the hallway. Blanket not very comfortable. Staff very nice and friendly, they speak good English. The price and the location are amazing! Despite the flaws, I would book again.

This was the first time I stayed at the Hostal Rembrandt. It was perfectly located and reasonably priced. I met some awesome people and would give this place my highest recommendation. The staff spoke English and were readily available. Just a wonderful stay.

Very basic room with private bathroom. Absolutely no noise from the street (we were inside), but the rooms are not well isolated, so we could hear very easily people in the corridor. Despite this, people are quiet and we slept very well during the three nights we stayed. Nice and basic, with correct price (because the center and Barcelona are very expensive), perfectly situated.

the place in the town is really good - we stayed for 4 nights - it was 67,50 € for one night instead of 80 €(internet) at the hotel people were kind - the room was very small and without table and chair - the bed a bit curved - the windows do not shut - we could hear our neighbours talk, wash or moove - it was a little clean - bathroom and toilets in the room is correct - breakfast very little - 5 € more - for 3 toasts and butter and jam - not real orange juice - a cup of tea or coffee - No cars in the street. Nevertheless, we were so tired that we slept ! and it is really only 100 m far from the Rambla and 200 m far from the cathedral. Very close to everything in the centre. So really good place and practical. We can go everywhere by feet. It seems to be a bit expensive for the little confort

I think that everything was good especially the surroundings. Except for the size of the shower, I was not able to move in such a small space.

I felt the smoke of cigarettes in the room during all the stay and in wintertime it was cold in the room. The room wasn't new at all but ok. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is excellent, in 5 minutes from la Rambla, the Cathedral and Placa Espana. Quite a good solution for the cheap price.

A really nice little hotel with a wonderful location. The only one problem was not enough comfort temperature in the room and bathroom, sometimes it was really cold. I'd like to return there sometimes, but only in summer. The great quality for it's price.

The room was quiet. The hotel is just a few meters away from La Rambla, near Subway station. The room was not very nice but was fine for the price.

Worth considering if you want a cheap place in that area but definitely the backpacker hostel end of the spectrum. Rooms are very basic, old furniture, a bit airless and depressing, you dont get soap, towels are changed every second day, there are signs forbidding washing and drying your clothes and the whole place is VERY noisy - all the doors and latches, pipes etc are old and make a lot of noise and the sound really echoes and carries, as do voices (although there was no partying when I was there). On the plus side it seems safe and the staff are helpful and they have lots of info about tours, launderettes etc and the location is ideal if you want to be between the rambla and the cathedral. It is easy to find and close to the metro.

Hostel is in a good, central location. The room is very small. There was a small sink in the room as well which was a pulse because the shower and toilet were shared.

The room is very hot , even open the fan (no airconditioner), you still can feel it's hot when stay in the room. The lift is out of order, to carry the heavy up and down stairs is killing me. The pillow sheet is very dirty, I have to put the my own tower on it to sleep. The WI-FI is available on the breakfast table area, I have to wake up in the miding and sit on the table to use WI-FI to check emails etc , it's very annoying thing.

Great location. Ideal for those who just need a place to sleep and don't care about fancy hotels. There's no window in the room, the shower and toilette are shared. Nice value for money, friendly staff.

Rooms are very small but hostal is very close to city center. You can stay if you are single. For the hotel price they asked for 10$ more by saying the bank commission. Room and bed is cleaned every day. There is no window in the room, the balconies at the venere.com are at the public area of the hostal. Wireless internet is free.

Staff very friendly and helpful (spoke great English). Really good location, just off Ramblas and by the cathedral. Sound proofing between rooms very poor; could hear people talking in their rooms and very noisy when returning late at night / morning (5 or 6 am). I wouldn't choose to return because of the noise but that's a lot to do with inconsiderate guests. Very basic hotel at a great central location - so not that bad for the price.

We had a room with double beed. because of the pictures on the website I thought we would get a room with balcony doors out to the street but instead we got a room with a window that couldn't close properly and it was facing a little courtyard where no light could enter so it was pretty dark. The staff was helpfull when we asked for help, information etc.

+ Excellent staff and position, absolutely clean, good prices. - Small room, no AC (fan is ok), small and uncomfortable common bathroom and wc. If you walk in the city all day long and want to have a bath and to sleep only, Rembrandt would be a good choice.

Big advantage of the hostel is the area (near las Ramblas de estudias). For one or two nights the hostel is o.k. because of the "lower" room rates (compared to other hostels in Barcelona). Rooms, bathroom etc. are very poor- moreover you can't sleep without earplugs...

A great place to crash after a busy day in Barcelona, not a place to relax and sleep. Great location, small rooms, friendly staff - it all depends on your expectations!

The hostel is quite nice. The position is really good, 'cause it's near the main square Catalunya. Closed to the metro e in the centre of the city.

I was a volcano refugee and stuck in Barcelona for one night, so this place was perfect for that duration of stay and price. It was 100% clean, the service was great, and I had free WiFi on my laptop (though it did not work for my iPhone, be warned). AMAZING location. The downside was that it was extremely noisy--paper-thin walls and door, and the only ventilation was through a large door to an internal courtyard (so other people could see in when it was open), also facing the elevator, which was very loud... can't imagine what it would be like in the heat of summer. The bed was basically a cot with plastic slats under a thin mattress (there was even a sign asking people to not stand on the beds, since they would break or collapse)--fine for one night, again, but probably not for a whole week. There were also a lot of stairs with this hostal; there is an elevator, but it only covers one floor and you still have to go up/down steps in order to reach the office or to leave. Don't bring heavy luggage here, but remember your earplugs and you'll be fine.
