As an 50+ male in Auckland for a music conference everything was close at hand - central city, town hall, theatre, restaurants, cafes and bars, and the Sky tower, and City link bus circuit. My third visit to this hotel. Single room, clean quiet comfortable warm and welcoming.

City Lodge is located in a fairly central location, only several blocks from the main street. Pros: The room was immaculate, though tiny (I had a single), and tolerably quiet. Kitchen facilities looked nice, though I did not use them. Price was right. Cons: Wireless internet was not working during my stay. (They did have pay computers in the basement lounge). This hotel was nothing fancy, but it did the trick. I'd recommend it to singles or families.
