Don't go to this hotel. Very expensive for what it offers. They did not want to accept my credit card saying that the terminal was out of order. They wanted cash. After insisting they have accepted and it worked. Service is very poor. Rooms are awful and dirty.

Not a great place to stay. The entrance looks very welcoming, the rooms are not the same. They are small and dirty. I was afraid to sleep in the bed for fear of hair or bed bugs. The location is great if you like museums, but that is all it has going for it.

hotel quality is poor, the bedroom distasteful, facilities such as TV, bed and bath in a total disrepair,The balcony has broken and doors must be closed with chains...the smell of the rooms as well as the hall was horrible, communication with the staff is precarious, are arrogant people...sin duda un " hotel" de menos 5 estrellas, un hotel propio para borrachos . If a friend wanted to spend a night of horror, I would recommend this hotel pseudo

I stayed 2 days in November 2012. The hotel is very closed to the Museumplein, where also a tram-station is. Distance to to the city center was app. 2 km, also within walking distance. There was much noise during the night, absolutely poor noise insulation. The bed had a withd of 70-80 cm, horrible. For breakfast you could get toast (but no toaster available)and basic food (chesse and Wurst, honey and marmelade. Next visit I would try another hotel!

Very dirty place. Tissues and food found in the room at arrival, no lights, no tv because no remote, very small room, closet that could not be opened. Poor service, not welcoming.also beds are not double beds and bathroom smells bad.

Me and my friend decided to use this hotel because it was provided that the location is perfect and the relations between price and quality are also nice. Actually this hotelis quite near to Museum square, but its 25 mins by foot from the center..It wasn't convenient for us. Thw whole opinion on this hotel is: rooms are veeeery little and dirty. We were shoked, because our blankets had spots, tables were sticky, dust all over and it was even disgust to use the bathroom. Typical Amsterdam's smell was all over the corridor. We are not so picky usually but this was really hardcore)Stuff was helpfull and it was the only positive side of our staying there.

This was my 2nd trip to Amsterdam and not only was this hotel wayyyy more expensive than what i paid last time but it was also tiny-ier and of a less star category... the room was extremely small...we were 2 female travelers and after we set our bags thr was barely space to move arnd without bumping into each other...also we had bunk beds... the beds were very comfortable so if u r using the place just to shower and sleep it is appropriate...but still not for the price... also the location is extremely central...like a 5 min walk from the Van Gogh museum... the shower was weak but the staff at the reception was extremely helpful...

Hotel was next to the Concert Gebow and major museums - a BIG plus. A strange place - no women were seen except me. Three beds in the room, barely room to walk. Beds were made up in an odd way, but were clean. Bathroom had a hair dryer, flush mechanism button fell off, shower sprayed the width of the tub instead of the length. They did keep our bags secure on our last day.

The other comments about this hotel are quite fair, it's in a great position of Amsterdam, easy to reach and surrounded by museums and parks. The rooms are really small and not perfectly clean (the bathroom was well cleaned) but quite. I think that compared with the price is a fair hotel. The breakfast was good and by tram is easily reachable. I suggest to go to singles or young couples without children.

I've stayed at this hotel for 3 days/2 nights and I really enjoyed my stay. The room and the bathroom were very clean, although I think it is not too spacious for 2 people. The location is great. There's a supermarket, tram and bus lines at 5 min walk. The breakfast was really nice too, although it could have some kind of cake. The only drawback I see is the quietness of the rooms. If you have some trouble to sleep, choose another hotel. All in all, is a very good hotel.

Pessima struttura. La peggiore che abbiam mai trovato attraverso Venere.com, camere progettate per i sette nani o i puffi. La nostra camera era simile ad una cuccietta di un treno con tanto di letto a castello e si poteva circolare solo applicando i sensi unici alternati. I servizi poi ancora peggio, piccoli e sporchi. Unica nota positiva la location, ideale per scoprire la città a piedi. Sicuramente non ritornerò in questa struttura.

The hotel is definitely a budget hotel. We knew we were getting a bunk bed room, but did not know that the bunk bed took up the entire room. Between the bed and two suitcases, there was no floor left, but we do not complain about that, as you don't need to spend time in your room in Amsterdam, bunk beds are fun, and there is an exciting city outside. The staff are a little surly and, I did not like the way the hotel handled the problem of our missing hsirts and bra. I do not recommend this hotel. Location is great for the Van Gogh museum and Vondelpark, and, of course, the concertgebouw.

Wandered aimlessly in the rain/snow for the better part of an hour trying to figure out where this hotel was before asking a local - the map on the web site is nearly useless, needs to have a higher resolution to show the small streets and alleys (even the local had a hard time). Once located, it is very convenient to museums, concerts, and the trolley/train connection to the airport worked flawlessly, even for an early morning flight. Rooms, as noted in previous reviews are TINY, but adequate for one person who is sight-seeing (would have been problematic though if the top bunk were not available to hold luggage). Hallway noise from other guests noticeable, as was smoke from the restaurant downstairs, but neither so bad that I would not stay there again. Quiet street, no view to speak of. Internet access dubious and expensive.

The hotel is close to the tram station Museumplein, the National Museum (Rijksmuseum) and Van Gogh Museum, so you can go these museums on foot. So the location is good for sightseeing. The receptionist of the hotel was friendly. But the bathtub of the room didn't have a stopper. Our room was on the first floor, faced the back of the Concertgebouw hall, but I was annoyed a bit by the noise of the motor (that of air conditioner ?) outside our room. Although the number of dishes for breakfast was relatively scarce, ham and cheese were delicious. In consideration of its good location and relatively low hotel charges, I overlooked these faults.

The room was a double and was very sufficient for our 2 night stay. very clean, very comfortable bed, T.V with english channels and an en-suite bathroom again very clean. The breakfast was very good, cereals, toast, and ham and cheese boiled eggs etc very pleasant breakfast room. The hotel is off the main road so very peaceful and you are very close to the Van Gogh Museum and the local Trams which take you into the centre. Location was great- in a neighborhood right across the street from a park, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijesteik Museum and close to all transportation. Staff was very helpful and friendly! Breakfast spread included in the price was the best I have seen- eggs, toast, pastries, fruit, yogurt, hams, cereal, the list goes on! And the dining room is lovely! My only concern was the size of the room. My husband and I literally could not pass each other in the room at the same time. One of us had to sit on the bed with our legs up while the other walked by. There were also lots of mosquitoes b/c we kept our window open at night. As long as you know there is NO room inside the room and are expecting it (traveling light), it is ok. I would stay here again for the price, friendly staff, location and food.

I refer to your kind rezervation at Hotel ACH Trianon in Amsterdam for me during my official visit. I went directly to this hotel when I arrived. Hovewer, I received such bad reception and rudness that I decided to inform you so that you and your other clients get to know the subject hotel before going there. There was only one person of the hotel staff and when I presented my reservation form which you had given me to this person he pushed it away and agrly told me that he wanted to see my personal papers first, which I gave him immediately. He then told me that I would have a room in the attic, and that I could go to see it, but that the price quoted in the reservation form was unacceptable to him. I would have to pay a higher price than that.By that time I had lost patience at this man's constantly irritating attitude, and protested his offering me a dinghy little room in the attic with a double-deck iron bed and the price he wanted to impose on me higher than the one already quoted for a normal hotel room.He very angrily dismissed me with a rude gesture and said I could complain about his hotel anywhere I liked and he did'nt care. I cancelled the reservation and left the hotel immediately.

I had a single room and it was very tiny with bunk beds. Very, very narrow space. unable to view TV from bottom bunk but who has time to watch TV in Amsterdam? Service and breakfast were fine. Location perfect for museums. Ask for a room without bunkbeds if you are claustrophobic. My room faced the street and it was quiet. Our room was tiny (but that was expected and was fine with us) we had comfy beds, 27 TV channels, clean and new bathroom facilities and a balcony with a view to the next door theatre. Excellent buffet breakfast every morning, nice restaurant. The only things lacking were no tea/coffee facilities and no fridge in the room although hotel staff offered us to use their fridge. Happy with price and service. Hotel is located 2 mins from Van Gogh and another historical museum, public transport 30m from the hotel. Hotel located in a quiet street. When I arrived to the hotel, I figured out that the room had a 2 bunkbeds. It was probably written in the booking form that I filled in on the internet but the photo was showing a twin beds room. I think that this is not very nice. The pictures should indicate the type of room anyhow. Furthermore the room was extremely small and I really believe that the relationship between price/quality (having payed 125 euro) is ridiculous...

The person at the desk was very incompetent and did not know what to do. He called for help and it took him 2 hours to renew the reservation. I finally got to my room at 1 in the morning. The next day, I had a horrible breakfast. And, coming back to my room, there was no hot water for my shower! Reception were very rude to me when I called them about this. The rooms were smaller than I had expected. I had payed a lot of money for this hotel, and was extremely dissapointed with it. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone

This hotel was VERY BAD. DO NOT STAY HERE! The rooms were not clean, small and smelled. The room was so small that my friend and I could not pass each other without sitting on one of the bunk beds. The rooms in amsterdam are small, but this was ridiculous. Also, the man who greeted us was not helpful or friendly. There is also an amsterdam tax that I was not informed of so this increased the price I paid by about 10 euros. The only good thing is that it is very close to the Van Gogh museum. Do NOT stay there. You are better off staying in a hostel.

I was very disapointed to see how different my room was as regard the photo put on internet! It was really small and looked like rooms in jail I guess, and very noisy too! You can clearly hear what your neightbours say! You wonder if there is a door between your room and the corridor as well! The regular receptionist is not as kind, helpfull as he should be...

Good breakfast and excellent location, near the Van Gogh Museum, mid distance between the railway and the bus station.

I have to say even when you only need just a place to sleep I don't know about others but I at least would like a little room to breathe. Thank goodness there was a window that opened. I felt like I was in a prison cell with how small the rooms were, they were cut in halves like sandwiches and the only good thing about this place was location. I walked down the block and the hostel looked better then this place with space! I can't believe I paid what I did for staying here. Sorry I wont be staying here again, I'll definitely take the walk or tram instead of trying to get a good location like this. Not worth it.

The hotel is 5 minutes away from the museums and the tram stop that takes you everywhere in the city. It is in a quieter area of Amsterdam a little bit further away from central station and the red light district. The room was very clean and spacious, we even had a balcony with a gorgeous view.

Good location, near the three most important Museums in Amsterdam, the staff was very kind and helpful, and breakfast is served at the same hotel (not in another, this is a bad information in the web page). There was only one problem: my room was full of mosquitos (in December, it seems incredible, but it's true!).

Great location but it is the only good thing. Small rooms, very noise, and high price for the service. You can find better price/quality in other hotel.

Good hotel for a 2 star accomodation; would improve room comfort if any type of door would replace current fabric-curtain as bathroom door. Breakfast was above average for 2 star. Hotel personnel attentive and helpful. Price somehow high for a 2 star, but I guess Amsterdam overall is expensive

Had a great weekend in Amsterdam last week. The hotel was easy to find (just round the corner from the Concert Hall and 1 minutes walk to the Van Gogh Museum). The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of food at breakfast. My room was quite small but had a balcony, but my friends room was bigger though without a balcony. Overall, we felt we had got value for money and would certainly return to this hotel.

The hotel staff were very nice. Disappointed at the size of the rooms. Toilet was a bit smelly. No cosy bar or Italian Restaurant as per advertising. Breakfast was poor.
