Poor services and amenities. Hotel staff doesn't care about guests, it's all about the money. Hotel is overpriced and charge per night not worth the services provided.

Great hotel for little money. Local neighbourhood is quiet, safe and friendly. From airport, rather than navigating subway connections, took a train to gare du nord (8 Euros), and then taxi from gare du nord to hotel (18 Euros). Train into town is not as complicated as it may seem and best of all Paris uses a "fare zone" for transit, so 2.45 Euros gets you to any metro stop in Paris.

Very nice hotel. Easy to reach and go to city centre or to go to Versailles. The only thing is that you can't use t-tickets to go to the hotel, so you need Paris visite for zones 1-3. The rooms are quite small, but OK just to sleep in. The breakfast is excellent.

A surprisingly nice hotel. And the location as awell as the way (and time! - 15 min) you get to it from St Lazare, just the centre of Paris. Very neat, the staff were helpful and considerate.

We stayed for 4 nights in the Ausenieres sur Siene branch during a weekend break in Paris. We found the hotel absolutely perfect if all your after is a decent budget hotel that caters for your basic needs. It was clean, rooms were nice, breakfast was good and the area was pleasant. We thought it was great value for money and we would definetly stay again.

Loved this place and would go again> Lovely, quiet neigbourhood and really not that far from central Paris. Was a bit disappointed with welcome as we felt we had disturbed receptionist who was relaxing on a sofa on his laptop. Quite unprofessional. News on TV (as it was the Royal Wedding week-end) came on and when I decided to stay and watch it on big screen in Reception area, he said I could just watch it in my room! I doubt, however, that his unprofessionalism reflects the complete ethos of this lovely hotel. :)

I stayed at All Seasons for two nights and had an enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and spoke basic English, the room was as described on the website and the breakfast was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel as an affordable yet pleasant hotel, which is only 7 minutes away from the centre of Paris (Gare St. Lazare).

I can only recommend the hotel especially bcause of the excellent "petit dejeuner". It is not "petit", there was all you need. We enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice and the excellent coffee. This is not self-evident for a hotel wish comparatively small prices. The connection to the city of Paris is possible without any problems from the nearby located railway station Asnières sur Seine. However it is not easy to find a parking place near the hotel.

Hotel was being renovated at the time, so workmen were in early in the morning and making noise. Carpets were grubby in the hall way and a couple of light fittings were loose because of this - however none of this detracted from our stay and we would happily use the hotel again. Location was excellent for travel into the city, quiet and had a small village within easy reach. Directions were a little short, we went to the wrong station a few miles away, it would benefit from referencing the train as the SNCF Transillian line, not just the train (which could infer the metro). Otherwise very pleased indeed.

The receptionist barely spoke any english, was not helpful and had a couldnt care less attitude. The gentleman that my husband spoke to later in the day was very polite and helpful. We had an extra bed in the room for our son who is 9, this meant we couldnt shut the bathroom door! The location was good and the parking was cheap.

Hotel is very good for it's star rating. Rooms are clean and seems to be renewed recently. Of course, rooms are not huge, but what would you expect from 2 star hotel in Paris? Unexpectedly the hotel even has an elevator. Quite good surroundings and a train station is in a few steps. Staff was helpful and caring, just don't forget to leave tips in the room :). The only thing which annoyed us is noise. The walls do not have enough isolation between rooms.

We were extremely pleased with our stay from beginning to end. The drive to the hotel was easy and the hotel's parking across the street was very convenient and safe. The staff was so kind, personable and willing to assist in all facets. They speak fairly good English and were very patient, accommodating us as we practiced French. Our two rooms were somewhat small, but perfect for a three-generation family of six visiting the sites for the weekend. The breakfast area was nice. The food was simple European, but fresh and tasty. The staff continuously tidied and replenished items. The surrounding neighborhood is clean and pretty quiet. There are a variety of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and shops in the area. The local train station is only a 5 minute walk away from the hotel and you can be in the heart of the city within 15 minutes. If you plan to be a tourist, I highly recommend purchasing the Paris Visite pass; it gives you unlimited access to all trains, metro, and bus lines around the city. We really enjoyed our weekend and will definitely return to this hotel.

This is my second time on this Hotel, and I will come back the next time on Paris. The Hotel is located in a lovely area and it is well conected. If you are taking the train to the hotel, make sure you take the right one, take the SNCF (This goes above the surface)not the Metro or subway if you don´t want to end in a complete diferent place. The breakfast is great. I strongly recomend this Hotel.

The hotel itself was total value for money. YOu would find this time and again on the feedback, the bathroom was small but I could live with that given that we needed to use it just once in a day. THe directions are posted correctly on one of the posts. You need to go to the Asniers Sur Seine station. Take RER E(RER is one of the train transports and it is different from Metro and Suburban trains) to ST Lazare. Once you get to St Lazare you need to take the suburban train to Asiners Sur Seine. The area has a McDonalds and lots of others shops around. Excellent stay overall

Horrible little hotel, and this is what we got for 96 Euros a night, a tiny Triangle shape room, double bed with no floor space, or a bench to put your bags causing you to trip over them to access the tiny bathroom. Paper thin walls and you could hear every noise, kept awake until midnight by rattling water pipes in our room as other guest showered and guests closing and opening doors in the passage, awoken at 5.30 by guest in room next door blowing his nose and zipping up his bags,(and thats no exageration) and then when leaving the room. Elevator so tiny it accomadates 2 adults only and no bags or 2 bags and no adults, so you climb the 5 flights of stairs down a spiral staircase, and hope your bags are waiting. Booked 4 nights but checked out after one the next am, after tramping the streets of Paris all day sightseeing its no pleasure to come back to a room like this so we found a beautiful hotel for cheaper, quiet, king size bed, double the size room plus lovely ensuite in Maisons Laffette. Oh nearly forgot to add that the pillows are lumpy and the bed Hard as stone, asked for another pillow and staff refused! On a positive note free internet and close to the metro.

Generally the hotel was good, although there are a few caveats to take into account. The location was relatively convenient: Even though it is not in the actual city, it's just a short, two-block walk from the train station and then a five-minute ride into the city centre. There were lots of restaurants, markets, and services around the hotel as well, so that was useful as well. The hotel itself was quite clean, and the breakfast buffet was terrific: Lots of food provided and great selection. However, the room we stayed in was very, very small. We were okay with that, but the shower in the bathroom was absolutely tiny. It was nearly impossible to turn around when rinsing without accidentally hitting the taps and turning off the water. As well, the hotel was extremely noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday night. The walls seemed to be paper-thin, and we could hear almost all of the movements the people in the room beside us made. There was a regular stream of guests coming in each night until 2am, and then more guests packing and leaving early each morning that started at 6am. Therefore, the only time one could sleep decently was between 2am and 6am. One last point: Make sure you check which train station you get off at! There are two Paris stations called "Asnieres", and we got off at the wrong one. It was a one-hour walk to get to the hotel... Overall, the hotel has some good benefits, but it's not the place to go to if you want to be guaranteed a good night's sleep or a nice, relaxing shower in the morning.

I was pleased with the room and service I received at the hotel Wilson, the pictures are very accurate. However, if you've got limited time to see the city I would recommend staying closer in, within walking distance of the city sights, even if slightly more expensive. Navigating the train/metro stations first thing in the morning and last thing at night isn't the most pleasant experience. Also, I made the tremendous mistake of trying to take the metro/train to the hotel with my luggage and after dark, I wouldn't recommend either, what a nightmare! It's not so easy to find and the metro is NOT luggage friendly! Unless you're traveling light and can easily carry your suitcase up/down several flights of stairs, you're better off taking a cab, expensive, but worth it! The train you need to get to the hotel is not on any of the maps either! From the Saint-Lazare Station (if you've taken the metro- which is below ground) you need to follow signs with the picture of the train (which is above ground)and take the "Asnières - Eubonne" train (pay attention, there is more than one Asnières train!). Exit the train at the Asnières- Sur Seine stop, go down the stairs at the center of the platform and take a left to exit, walk 2 blocks to De Gaulle, turn right, walk 2 blocks to Rue du Chateau, turn left, the hotel is less than a block up on the right. I wasn't just directionally challenged, I talked to others staying there who also got turned around trying to find it. The staff was very friendly and willing to speak English. Unfortunately, there's really nothing to see close to the hotel, but there are cash machines, bars, bakeries, etc. nearby.

Hotel Wilson is a very cute and cozy hotel. The entrance, lobby/lounge/reception and breakfast room are nice and modern and there's a little courtyard where you can have breakfast if the sun's out. Breakfast was very good. The room itself was very clean, but a bit small and the interior not very up-to-date. But everything was very comfortable and price/quality was fine! The only, quit big problem was lack of quietness. Every door closing and opening on the same floor was being heard by us. Other big advantage: parking your car in the weekends is free. A parkingspot may sometimes be hard to find. The hotel can be easily accessed via Gare St. Lazare and a short trip by train, and also by car. TOmTom-users: Be aware! Don't look for Rue du Chatel in Paris, but enter the village of Asnieres en then look for this street.

Unclear from the website, but you have to park on the street, but after a possibly long search for a carpark, the price is cheap (3 Euros for 24 hrs). Unclear from the website, but we payed 120 Euros per night for a simple double + bfast (due to concurrency of our stay with trade fairs?). Unclear from the website, but rooms are etremely small, bedding sheets and blankets are skimpy, short, and scant. Noise from couples in neighboring rooms and from corridor. The bathroom ceiling was open and unhealthy insulation fibres visible; plus no ventillation in bathroom, this caused whole room to smell of mould (see photo). This is a one star hotel masquerading as a 2 star. We stayed there as we thought it might be cleaner and more modern with better parking since outside the city - it is not, and has no own parking, so we may as well have stayed in the city. The desk clerks were not very welcoming. They do not realize that guests who arrive in cars are tired after having to search for parking and drag their baggage on foot to the hotel. The price seemed excessive at 120 a night for very basic but clean (except for bathroom in our case) accomodation.

The hotel was clean and convenient for our 3 night stay. This is a medium sized hotel and is easy to find. We had the standard room, double bed was comfortable (not too soft, not too hard), room was a bit small but we expected this. There is a small storage wardrobe, no tea or coffee making facilities, bathroom was clean and the shower was fantastic with good water pressure, there was a shower curtain. I forgot my UK to european power point adaptor but the reception gave me one when asked. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Noise was not too bad, we could slightly hear other guests but this was only in the morning at breakfast time. The breakfast consists of cereals, pastries, juices, canned cut fruits etc. with coffee/tea and is served 6am to 10am on weekdays and 7am to 10am on weekends. The best way to get to there is RER - from Magenta station (Gare du Nord) to St.Lazare; then mainline train (follow signs for Grand Lignes) from Gare St.Lazare to Asniers-sur-seine. The hotel is barely 5 mins walk from Asniers-sur-seine train station (head out towards exit, past a McDonalds on the right and a statue of 2 men, turn right onto main road and then turn left after a bus stop at a set of lights, hotel is a few yards on your right). There is free wi-fi in all rooms but we used the free internet on the computer located in the reception. Check-in is only 3 pm so when we turned up at 12, we could leave our luggage at the reception for storage till we returned later.

We selected Hotel Wilson after we red on venere.com the reviews of the other guests. The hotel fully met our excpectations. We also managed to find it very quickly going by car. Our room had only one small demerit: its window faced to the building yard and because of noise we woke up earlier than we wished. The Wilson is in a small local area with shops and bars away from the hussle and bustle. The only bad experience being our initial journey from C.D.G airport, I am sure there is a better way to get to the hotel than the way that is suggested, but as learners to the train and metro system we followed the instructions but still ended up lost.

My husband, two kids (ages 10 & 12) and I stayed at Hotel Wilson for four nights and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Although the rooms were small (very typical for Paris), they were well equipped, comfortable and, more importantly, clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast (included in the price) was fresh and well presented. Delicious! The cozy terrace (complete with garden) behind the hotel is perfect for a quiet meal that can easily be picked up at a local restaurant. The area itself is perfect for a family with two children. The area is clean and safe (the hotel is only a couple doors down from the local police station). Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance, as is a movie theatre -- perfect for taking a break from sightseeing in downtown Paris. Getting to Paris is relatively easy with a short train ride, followed by a subway ride. If we go to Paris again, we will definitely stay at Hotel Wilson.

I travelled with my wife and daughter and spent two days here while one a weeks holiday to Paris and Disneyland. The triple room with breakfast is very good value for a family with one child. The breakfast is excellent. Venere and Hotel Wilson needs to update the information about where the hotel is located. It is not in La Défense, but in the village of Asnières. (There are actually two stations called Asnières, and the right station is Asnières sur Seine, which unfortunately is not included on most metro and public transport maps of Paris. Go to the train station at Gare Saint-Lazare, - don't take the metro line 13 to Asnières-Gennevilliers) A few hints on how to find the right train at Gare Saint-Lazare: Look at the screen for trains departing, and see if they stop at Asnières. (These trains were usually departing from tracks around 8-12) Venere should also include information on how to reach the hotel from the Asnières railway station. (Follow the sign for Hotel Wilson outside the station and go straight down the road about two hundred meters until you reach the end, and turn right. Turn left at rue du Château. It's definitely not two minutes, unless you run! Five minutes would be more correct. An easy and nice walk. The information on the location page is mostly wrong: - "City Area:La Défense" -> not correct - "From Gare d'Asnières: 2 minutes on foot." -> More like 5 minutes, but still an easy and nice walk. - "From the Opéra: 10 minutes by public transportation" -> Not correct, as far as I experienced. In that case how would you travel? - From La Défense: 10 minutes by public transportation. -> Not correct. In that case how would you travel?

This hotel was very good according to price and comparing to other more expensive hotels we had i France. We were thinking that the hotel was in Paris and not outside. But 6 min. by train is nothing, and what we get was perfect for us. The breakfast was the very best!! I tell everybody about you and recommend the hotel. Thank You

We had a great time at the Hotel Wilson. The hotel was modern and had a beautiful breakfast patio. Free internet and a 5 minute walk to the station to get to Paris, it was all very convenient. Parking is hard to find at night, and make sure you have coins for the machines! Definitely would stay there again.

This was a really nice place to stay in Paris, particularly how expensive accommodations usually are there. It was a bit outside the city proper, but was very close to the train station and only a short suburban train ride into the thick of things. The room was fairly small, but clean and quite functional, and the free internet was handy.

We found the staff at Hotel Wilson to be very courteous and professional. We also very much appreciated how gracious they were in speaking English to us as our French is very limited. The breakfast was bountiful and very enjoyable sitting out in the courtyard. Another nice feature is that the hotel is a short walk to the train which travels into Paris (about a five minute ride).

Remarkable cheap (and breakfast included), nice staff, and only 10 minuts to city-centre by train. And you can use the same Paris Visite travel card as for Metro, RER and busses (I bought a Paris Visite for 5 zones, which I used from the airport, to the hotel, to Versailles and (of course) within Paris City). Next time in Paris I also want to use Hotel Wilson!

We would happily stay at the Wilson again. Liked the quiet location, near the station and local shops. Superior room was great value for 2 adults with a teenage daughter. Comfortable, clean and spacious by Paris standards, and good breakfasts to start the day. Ignore the website's location references to La Defence.

The free internet access is great... when it works ! Also the room was to small to accommodate a table where to place a laptop. Finally a set of Thea bag and mugs would be welcome. The front desk poeple are competent and polite. It is a good place to stay for the night only, it is well located and the price is okay.

We've stayed just one night at hotel Wilson. Our only expectation was to get a cheap but pleasant hotel with good traffic to the centre of Paris in a quiet disctrict, breakfast included if it's possible. We arrived by car, could find a parking place easily in front of the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and quiet, the breakfast was perfect, so we were absolutely satisfied with hotel Wilson. Thanks for this nice place, we can highly recommend it to anyone!

We stayed 3 nights in mid-May 08 and found the hotel an acceptable value in a pleasant location. The Hotel Wilson will provide decent lodging for a fair price. Just make sure to read the direction signs once you exit the metro train. Our travel schedule has allowed us to stay in many sections of the city over the years and must say that the extra metro train ride was not that much of a problem. However, for the first time Paris vistor, I would suggest staying in the heart of the city to enjoy the overall experience.

For a hotel in Paris, Hotel WIlson is Fantastic. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The train system is fantastic therefore staying just outside the city is no problem. I have heard so many negative things about hotels in Paris (even the expensive ones) and I have to say after travelling around Europe for 6 weeks Hotel Wilson is one of the best places we stayed and the cheapest!!!

This hotel is a must-stay if you're going to Paris. It is well served by the Parisian transport system, is close enough to town, yet far enough removed that the prices are very reasonable. The neighbourhood is great with lots of little shops, restaurants and bars.

Hotel Wilson ist not in La Défense, but in Asnière sur Saine!!! Hotel Wilson has some nice restaurants nearby of average quality, where often french people are going to dinner. To reach Hotel Wilson: Take a train (runs every 10 to 15 minutes) from Gare St. Lazare. Then walking ca. 5 Minutes to the hotel. In Paris take a "orange card for 3 Zones" - for this you need a picture of your face. It's the cheapest way for tourists.

Despite Asnière sur Siene be located outside Paris, it takes only 6 minutes by train to go to Gare Saint Lazare. The hotel is very good, with quality breakfast. The hotel sorroundings are very charming, there is a very good restaurant (Le Bougnat d'Asnière) a block away and a fine bakery (Deux Preux) two blocks away.

Nice hotel, good value for money. Good breakfast included in price. Free Internet connection from lobby. The map/location description at venere.com is not very good. NOT in la Defence! - you shold take the main line train (not metro) from gare St. Lazare to Asnieres sur-Seine (situated in zone 3, normally just one stop).

A very nice hotel, with friendly staff. Clean and neat. The hotel was conveniently located near the railway sation (3 minute walk). Trains to Gare St Lazare departed every 15 minutes. A combination ticket for train, RER and metro took us everywhere we wanted to be (especially centre Paris). The neighbourhood of the hotel felt safe and a bit dull (but whilst traveling with a seven year old kid, we didn't mind that).

I'm so pleased with our decision to stay at the Wilson. Price was great, staff were friendly and helpful, room was small but clean and perfectly adequate, and the breakfast buffet was more than expected. And the location is so good - 5-10 minutes into central Paris, with about 8 trains/hour. Train station is just 5 minutes from hotel, and the village of Asnières is so charming with bistros, bakeries, markets, cinema, etc. It just felt so Parisian!! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris.

The RER station is only 2 minutes from Hotel Wilson and the train only takes about 8 minutes to get to St. Lazare, a major Metro hub and central to a lot of Paris attractions. There are also good services right in the area of the hotel. Taking these factors into account, it was worth being a bit out of the central area in order to get a good room rate (I realize that it was also off-season but I still think we savwd quite bit). The beakfast served as part of the price was excellent and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I would have no reservations about recommending Hotel Wilson to anyone seeking clean, reasonably priced accomodations in Paris.
