This is my first stay in Amsterdam. The location of the hotel is close to the railway station, an easy walking distance carrying luggages from the station. However, any merits worth describing stop here. The room is too tiny, staff curt and not well-trained. I nealy got claustrophobic lying on the bed.

Single room was small, but adequate. Breakfast was very good. Location of the hotel is very central, less than 5 min walk from the train station, and within walking distance of many of Amsterdams attractions. I had a room facing the backyard, which was very quiet.

It is a medium quality Hotel, but the maintenance of the furniture shall be improved. Travelers have to check if there are any type of sharp points in the furniture that could cause injures or scratches to them. (A sharp point in the bed of room 511 caused me an scratch in my leg).

Bellevue hotel staff were extremely helpful and advised us on the best and cheapest way to see the sights of Amsterdam . The hotel is located close to the Central Station which is why we chose it. (Quick and cheap access to Schipol Airport). There is noise from the trams which pass by the front of the hotel, similar to a distant thunder storm. We spent so little time in the room and were so tired from sight seeing it did not disturb us. If you are a light sleeper there are rooms not facing the street. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean and recently decorated. The trams outside were a bonus for travelling around Amsterdam and the canal tours and tourist bureau were a short walk away.

The hotel is quite good. The location and surroundings is excellent! The hotel staff is kind. Our room was quite big but there was cold. The aircondition/heating made big big noice. I ´ m not sure that the room mainly bathroom was cleaned very well. Towels and bed clothes smelled. And our room was underground. But on the other hand for 2 days is good hotel

This hotel was ideally positioned for us, right near the central railway station, but the room was so small we did not have room to put our cases, paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling, no shower curtain so the entire bathroom was wet after using shower. It was so noisy, trams running right outside till 1am again starting at 5. For the price it is a complete rip off!!

I had read some negative reports on this Hotel, however we chose because of its convenient location to Central Station and thereforE all transport links, tram, bus, water bus and walking. As it turned out, those negative comments were unfounded. Admittedly we were perhaps fortunate in being allocated a room at the back, hence the room was quiet. However had it not been so I take the view if you elect to stay in the centre of a large city, one has to expect the atmosphere and vibrancy of city life. The room we had was of a good size, although because of the architecture and history of Amsterdam, some rooms will inevitably be relatively small. Contrary to another report the Hotel does have a secure baggage room, if you need to leave luggage after check out. THE RECENT REFURBISHMENT HAS BEEN DONE WITH STYLE AND PANACHE! REALLY IMAGINATIVE. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND BE VERY HAPPY TO RETURN. IN A WORD "EXCELENT"!

Nothing apart from 'positives' to say about Bellevue that comes and remains very highly recommended. Very friendly, welcoming and clean. I would say this place is at the very upper end of the three-star grade. OK a bit pricey for 3 start, but Dam these days is a pretty expensive place to stay. If peace and quiet is yur preference do ask for a room to the rear, at check-in the receptionist catered for my online request witout hesitation. Clean, white minimalist..ish rooms are of a good standard even if I only spent no more than 14hrs in mine over the course of the weekend! Excellent location... give it a try!

This was my first visit to Amsterdam for several years and I chose the hotel because of its convenience to Centraal Station and tram routes to the main sights. It could not be faulted on either score. My room was clean, ultra modern and very quiet, since it faced an internal well. Check-in and check-out were quick, pleasant and efficient. The €10 buffet breakfast was fine for me, since I wanted a fairly full meal that would last me most of the day, but someone looking for a lighter, continental-style breakfast would get better value at one of the neighbouring cafes. There were not always enough staff at breakfast time to clear tables promptly.

The hotel is in a great location just across the road from the train staion and less than ten minutes walk from Dam Square. The room was clean but very small. The bathroom was also small and the shower curtain tended to stick to you a bit when you were having a shower which was slightly annoying. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but there is a café a few doors down which did a great breakfast and nice coffee.

Great location! Just across the street from the Central Station. Staff was very helpful and multi-lingual. The oldest bar in Amsterdam is right downstairs. We had a relaxing time drinking great beer and watching everyone walking or riding bikes by. This is my second time to Amsterdam and the first time I stayed at the Radison by the museums with my points. It was okay but it had no charm and was a run of the mill American hotel chain. Even though the Bellevue room was tiny I prefered it due to it's location and European charm. The staff was also better than the Radison.

The room was spacious and the hotel was at a key location, very close from the train station and at a walking distance of everything. For those who want to have the same freedom to smoke than in a coffee shop, this hotel is not smoke friendly, but again, who wants to stay in a room smoking while beautiful amsterdam is around the corner :)

I have stayed in the Bellevue about 10 times in the last 2 years, I never hesitate to go back there. The rooms are not very big but are very clean and modern. The hotel is only 400m from the Central Station and very convenient for bars and restaurants as well, I recommend the steak house directly opposite.

Hotel well located and easy to find and comfortable. However we were allocated room in basement, which had window into central well through which we could see employee eating, and there was occasionally some noise from adjacent room. Wardrobe space limited (nowhere to hand full length coat). This was OK for one night in January but I'd recommend anyone staying longer to avoid basement rooms. Otherwise good value especially for stopover between Amsterdam and travelling on by train.

There was obviously a problem with our booking on arrival at the hotel as we had to wait 10-15 minutes before we could check in, the reception staff joked with us that there was no room and continued to talk in Dutch the whole time so did little to reassure us that all was ok. Once we had checked in we fond the room stylish and perfect for a weekend break. Within easy reach of the train station and city centre we couldn't ask for more.

We regularly go to Amsterdam. This time because of an early flight for our return we decided to book a hotel close to Central Station. For this, the Bellevue is ideally placed just 2 mins walk away. Reviews said the rooms were small so we booked one of their larger rooms at extra cost, even so there was literally no room "to swing a cat". The rooms are designed in a modern, minimalist fashion which is pleasing but proved to be a complete triumph of form over function. We had a double room, which consisted of twin beds pushed together, indeed there was no other place for them as they were 'shoe-horned' in between fitted bedside shelves, which were themselves right up to the walls. These were not even singles, but 2'6" bunk sized beds. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but a bottle of water was provided on the first day! The wardrobe was a single wall cupboard, directly above one of the bedside shelves. The space inside was so small as to prove impossible to hang even a shirt or jacket without it bunching on the bottom of the cupboard. The bathroom was through a sliding door, immediately beyond which was a step down, painted the same off white as the rest of the bathroom and proved to be a real hazard for trips to the loo after a night out. There was imaginative use of lighting in the room, which gave a pleasing effect and was operated by touch pad type switches, 3 of which were located directly above the bed, at just about the hight of the pillows. This meant that any slight adjustment of position in bed would inadvertently switch the lights on or off! Though we went in for breakfast we never ate there as the buffet style offerings seemed very poor value for money and an excellent breakfast could be had 2 doors up at a better price. As I said before, the hotel is conveniently placed and was quiet, relatively clean and well presented but despite its visual qualities we found it totally impractical and very poor value for money. We wont be back

This hotel has an excellent location. It is about a 3-4 minute walk to the rail station and across the street from the tram stops. It is within walking distance of all the attractions- museums, cathedrals, and of course the red light district. The rooms are fun- flat screen monitors are conveniently placed on the walls; the bathrooms are high tech with plenty of glass mirrors and modern fixtures. The place is real secure- with cameras and monitors at the exits and entrees. Excellent value- clean, quiet, secure and safe.

Our stay at the Bellevue was very nice. We got there before check-in and they were able to give us a room early. We were concerned about the location, as it is near the train station, however it turned out to be a good, safe location with easy access to the entire city. At night the streets around the area seem populated enough and myself and my other female travel companion felt entirely safe. The rooms themselves were clean and neat (as are the bathrooms)but small.

Some of the staff at the hotel were very unhelpful especially when we arrived late and tired one evening. We were told if we didn't like it to go somewhere else, not a good start. Some of things we had requested they said they did not know about. The price was more than quoted which we had to argue about and in the end they reduced the price. The hotel is clean, and the rooms were nice. However, the bed in the single room I had was tiny, and this meant I did not sleep well.
