Incredible location with amazing views. Beautifully designed crescent-shaped building, with the balconies cleverly angled so that 3/4 of the rooms have a sea view! Excellent place from which to enjoy beautiful Tarragona. Visit Placa de la Font, Placa del Rei and Placa del Forum in the old town, next to the hotel, with loads of lovely bars and cafes where you can enjoy drinks and tapas in the sun, or the warm evenings. Excellent for a relaxing escape in a fascinating location, and largely free from the tourist tat, English breakfasts, amusement arcades, noisy clubs, themed pubs and all the things you wanted to get away from! (However if that's the sort of thing you like, go to Salou instead!)

Lovely hotel, fantastic location. Reception can seem a little frosty though, but excellent overall.

This hotel does not correspond to a 4-stars hotel, may be a good 3-stars even if the view from rooms with sea view is astonishing overlooking the old amphitheatre and the old part of the city. Amenities are reduced to the minimum (only 1 soap and 1 shampoo, no bath/shower gel) and were not refurbished every day. Breakfast is rather basic.

I've already been this hotel twice. I was very satisfied with this hotel both service, price and the view(sea, amphitheater) from the hotel. The only problem that we couldn't call to forigner from the hotel. That was very bad point for us. Anyway, I recommend this hotel. It's not about the hotel but it was very sad to desappear the most famous restaurante on the cape in Tarracona.

We did an upgrade to have a room with view on the sea. The hotel is maximum a 3* in our opinion. Not enough parkings available outside. Nobody available to take our luggage when leaving, we had to do it ourselves. The ceiling of the restaurant where we had breakfast is badly damaged and it looks like this was very dangerous for health !! Luckely we stayed only 2 nights.

The room reserved was two bed, I ask for a change, the hote provided another with views to the sea but less quality. Old walls, old furniture, bed too small and the matelas horrible. The details were not taken inaccount only one shampoo and shower gel for two people. Not very high quality for a 4 stars hotel.

Overall, the hotel is in a very good location and the rooms are spacious enough and quiet. However, parking was a complete nightmare and most of the staff at reception were appallingly RUDE. I would not recommended it on this basis alone :-(

Booking through venere.com was great, hassle free and all went well. Actually staying in this hotel was diabolical however. It is so not like the pictures, especially on the upper levels where holes have been made through windows to accommodate portable aircon units, towel rails are falling off the walls, carpet is lifting and woodwork is rotting. we arrived just after check in time to find our room wasn't ready, then in our room we found one bed broken so we called reception. We were asked to leave the room for two hours but on our return three hours later the bed was in the same state of disrepair. Reception staff were indifferent to say the least and asked us to leave the room again for up to five hours (this would have been midnight). When we said we were not happy with that he simply said "so?". After a somewhat hostile conversation we moved to the room next door. They were heard hammering the bed at 0730 the next morning, which was very early given we had only got to sleep after the festival noise shut down at around 0530. We had no idea that a festival would be on at the time we stayed and only found out on arrival. This festival involved death metal music in competition with classic hits and bongo drums all at the same time. We feel the hotel should warn potential guests before they book as this meant we did not sleep for four nights. Finally do not be fooled by the photos, only some rooms are renovated and the pool area is very run down and basic. It is often not cleaned from day to day, deck chairs are broken and requests to hotel staff to unlock it tend to be met with surliness. overall I would say don't stay here, in fact visit the old city in Tarragona, and the great restaurant in the plaza down from the cathedral then move on. Unless you really like super-trash tourism, there are much nicer places to stay in Spain.

We stayed one night at this hotel and the first problem was finding it. The city has no signage that relates to its location and we wasted 45 mins driving around. The building looks impressive and room views excellent, but reception was cool and unwelcoming. Are the staff poorly paid ? They seem disaffected and unfriendly. The room was clean, bed comfortable but basic and quite small. Breakfast was basic and expensive. Overall overpriced and poor value compared to other stays in Spain.

Have stayed here before. Returned. Facility somewhat dated and in need of redecor. That is happening. Price is excellent value. This trip - SERIOUS problem Terregona had a local fiesta Fri and Sat night. We were scheduled 4 nights - Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat. I ended up sleeping in the bathroom with door closed Fri night. The noise from the music was HORRIFIC. HORRIFIC. HORRIFIC. The worst night in a hotel I have EVER spent. Edward was ready to go the the airport at 6:00 AM when the noise finally stopped. IT WAS HORRIFIC. Basically had to stand in line to check out. The staff was very polite. They knew. Called our next hotel - to check in 1 night early. We couldn't get away fast enough. Most HORRIFIC night I have EVER spent in a hotel. Layed on the bathroom floor with the door closed all night in order to get away from the noise. HORRIFIC. Other than that...the site is beautiful...Staff was fine. Redecor being done. You'll need to close the hotel on the nights of the fiesta next year. This type of music attracts bad (drugs, drinking, etc) people. With all due respect. Thank you for listening.

The staff wasn't very helpful; we needed to get back to the airport in Barcelona, and they didn't know much about how to get there, and they didn't care to help us.

Second visit. Fabulous location with balconies overlooking the Med. Service seems to have improved since last time. Beds weren't overly comfortable and the rooms are a little dated but they were the only faults. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The worst aspect of the hotel are the reception staff who are unfriendly, unhelpful and not particularly efficient. However the hotel has a fantastic location with excellent views over the Roman ruins and the sea. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean but the 1980's decor is looking a bit tired now.

A well located hotel with good facilities and comfortable, if a little tired, rooms. The view from the room, and balcony, was absolutely stunning looking over the ampetheatre out to sea. However, I suspect the rooms on the other side of the hotel are likely to have a less than satisfactory view!

Hotel staff was desinterested and unfriendly, especially upon arrival and during breakfast. We did not espect this in Spain! Room maids were OK!
