e' un albergo al centro, pulito con camere spaziose e con personale di portineria ottimo, soprattutto il signor Davide.

An excellent hotel albeit only a 2*. The main strength is its proximity to the old town which is in very easy walking distance. Also, the views form the rooms are excellent. Unfortunely we clashed with the start of a festival with the cosequence that the nearby square was 'alive' with music and youtfull exuberance throughour two of the three nights we stayed there.

No one told me the Hotel's name was "Universal" I drove past several times searching "husa"; even spoke with the man in charge with my CP from across the Atlantic to no avail; finally found it in little letters. There is a taxi "parada" right below your window: drivers woke me up at 4 AM shouting & joking among themselves, even though I was on the 5th. floor. Air condit woulda been better and windows closed!

I was surprised that when I booked the first three nights from 23/05/08 to 29/05/08 my room charge was 46.00 EUR per night. When I booked an additional night on the 26/05/08 my charge was 53.50 EUR. Could you please explain the reason for the difference in charges.

Very confortable if you arrive with Ryanair: the bus stop is just 5 metres from it. It's only 10 minutes walking from the cathedral and the same from the railways station. Many city-buses stop in the square of hotel. While the hotel is cheap, breakfast isn't: 5 euros for a small one (not buffet).

An excellent value for money hotel. The staff are very friendly, giving a warm welcome. rooms are basic but clean. The hotel location is excellent, close to all sights, on the edge of the old town. One useful fact is that the airport is only a short distance away and the Ryanair bus stops immediately outside the hotel. It picks up, for the return journey, in the same spot.

i've been there for 2 nights. very very near to the center of city. It's very good, if you don't have a car. If you have a car, is not so good...

It is really in the center of the old city centre of Santiago de C. Close to cathedral and other touristic attraction of the city. The hotel seemed to me is the one for students who stay longer period for the purpose such as summer school in the university. It was OK experience but I was bothered by mosquitoes while sleeping...

The hotel is nice, but noisy in some of the rooms. Location is perfect for tourists and business travellers alike. No photographs available due to a steal of the camera (happened elsewhere in Spain, though).

The hotel location details were correct but the room was very basic and there were stains all over the walls in the bedroom. The location was good though, very near the Cathedral and central to shops and restaurants.

The only drawback with this hotel is ,it is so central it is noisey at night.

The hotel is very well located just outside the old town.Everthing in the old town is within easy walking distance. A bus stop outside means that one is dropped 5 metres from the hotel entrance by the airport bus. Other buses to different parts of town e.g. the department store, El Corte Ingles, are also at the door. The location of the hotel is on a noisy square and even in the middle of the night motor bikes sounding like demented mosquitoes don't encourage sleep. We hit Santiago in a heat wave 35 centigrade and more. The lack of air conditioning was missed! However under normal weather conditions this wouldn't matter. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would go back to the Husa hotel.

Eccezionale rapporto qualita' prezzo. Posizionato all'inizio della parte monumentale e con la fermata della navetta da/per l'aeroporto proprio davanti all'hotel.

The hotel is very close of everything, is more close to the train station than the information provided for the hotel, we can perfectly arrive on train and walk to the hotel and then walk to the historic center. We arrive at 7:00 o´clock in the morning and they give us the room although the check inn were at 12:00 pm. They are very kindest with us.

I stayed in this hotel at the beginning of October 2005 for a three days. It is a simple and nice hotel that suits all your needs if you want to spend a few relaxed days in Santiago, without spending too much. We didn't take the breakfast, so we cannot judge that. The room consisted of two beds, a large cupboard, a table, couple of charis and two cabinets. The bathroom had a bathtub, toilet and a washbasin. Everything was clean and was cleaned every day. People were friendly and helpful. A small point of concern is the fact that our room had a fitted carpet, so people with any mite allergies (like me) should inform themselves beforehand and maybe ask for another room.
