Hotel Torre del Clavero - Salamanca

Take earplugs as if you at the front you are on the route home of Salamanca's student population from the late night bars nearby and this keeps going till 7am. Liked the hotel but faulty aircon in our room didn't help with noise also they have WIFI in the rooms but it helps if the staff give you the password you need to access it.

NEITHER COMPUTERS NOR CONNECTION TO INTERNET. They advertised that internet was available in the rooms and they hadn´t a wifi ; they offered you a rudimentary way to connect with a cable which you had to switch in the wall( but it din´t work). The result was that I couln´t surf the internet and I was very disapointed.It caused me a lot of trouble and inconvenience because I was on a business trip. In reception they had one p.c which was not working.

Excellent location with splendid historical building outside window. Room more than adequate. I would recommend to others visiting Salamanca. Only slight drawback - no reflection on the hotel - was the most unexpected rowdy noise on a couple of nights in such a quiet area.

We had a room on the first floor. It was over the garage door. So we heard mechanical noises everytime a car went in or out. So request rooms on the upper levels.

Too noisy in one of the back rooms. Lots of street noise at all hours: kids playing football, drunks yelling and screaming, machine on next door building humming, etc. Had to move hotels because of this. Otherwise the hotel was fine. The staff are very friendly and accommodatng. Location is excellent- close to Plaza Mayor.

I very much liked Torre del Clavero and I am happy to recommend it and to stay there again. My only problem with it is that people in Spain party at all hours and if you have a room facing the street you will need earplugs! Get a room not facing the street and I believe you will have a great night sleep.

Clean, well run. Spacious rooms. Parking deck is a bit of a challenge to enter. Overall an excellent stay

The hotel is right in the heart of the interesting parts of the old city and the big bonus is that it has its own carpark under the hotel. The 2 staff we dealt with were both very pleasant and helpful There was no more noise than might be encountered in any other hotel. The room was warm and we couldn't make the a/c work but we did not mention to the staff so we can't really complain.

Booking early through Venere saved us money on this hotel. Upon arrival, the listed price was 30% higher than that which we locked in through our reservation. The front desk staff was very helpful with transportation connections (rental car drop-off sites, train/bus schedules) and town information. I wish we had stayed

Your entrance to the underground car park is extremely difficult for a large car. After a long journey I was very tired and caught the rear wing of my car on one of the turns. I feel sure that if your receptionist had forewarned me about the narrowness, my accident could have been avoided and saved me a considerable expense. When I mentioned my accident after she then said she Knows it is very difficult.
