The room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4pm however we were immediately given a (much better) room with a view (best view) which we were delighted with. (So was glad room was not ready, and the error was dealt with quickly and without a mommnet hesitation). How an error is dealt with is always all important. Some of the staff was not friendly but the last person we saw was very charming and friendly. The bar man was excellent and made a top margarita which we enjoyed on the fin de siecle terrace. Joy. It was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in (taking in price etc..). There was no smell! it was not at all faded (I read the reviews and very glad I was not put off). It was very stylish We were not tempted by breakfast but it had lovely gardens terrace and swimming pool. You would miss a treat by not going there.

The person on duty when we arrived was not helpful and almost rude. It was always better service when he was not the person on duty. The room and hotel are in need of an update. Everything looks well worn and tired.

Es ist schade, dass dieses wunderbare Hotel nicht über einen angemessenen Service (Öffnungszeiten in der Bar, Öffnungszeiten und starre kleine Speisekarte im Restaurant) im Restaurant und in der Bar verfügt.

The choice of this hotel was serendipitous. We went to Ronda to see a bridge, and the person who made this decision had to live with much ribbing until we saw the wonder of the Ronda bridge. The hotel was chosen on the name, as we were trying to visit places or stay at hotels with names of our group or family, and both Ronda and Victoria satisfied this requirement! To find a hotel such as this was wonderful; a Victorian era hotel (well almost, it was finished in 1906) with all the good attributes of that era. The service was excellent, from the bar service to the impressive meal which appeared to be conjured out of nowhere. The lights were turned off in the dining room until we entered, but soon we were sitting down to pre-dinner drinks followed by an excellent meal served by a wonderful waiter who had previously served us in the bar. The service kept the group amazed and smiling with wonderment. It was truly a grand experience. Highly recommended.

This place was an absolute steal. A gorgeous sumptuous room with a real balcony. They could have dismissed us as discount travelers! Instead they gave us an incredible room. The property is spectacular. Sort of an oasis in a bustling town. A walk to the "bridge". BTW... find the Bakery Daver @ Los Remedios 6 or Espinel 58 for an incredible pastry breakfast or cafe con leche break!!!

Nice location, big rooms but noisy!! You can follow conversations next door.

The hotel has this feeling of luxury yet the service and attention were less than average. Location and surroundings are just perfect though. I would say it is an average 3 stars with pretensions of a fancy 5 stars.

Olde worlde hotel with character. Not the best view from our particular room, but great central location with the added bonus of free on-site parking (if you are early!). Room quiet despite proximity to the road with large mature gardens and good swimming pool.

Fantastic location for exploring Ronda - easy walk to town, bridge, and old town. Spectacular view from room over gardens and over the cliff into the valley. Very spacious room/bathroom in the old traditional hotel style. Free off-street parking was a plus.

Hotel très calme, bien situé, quoiqu'un peu décentré, chambres agréables et suffisament spacieuses, petit déjeuner parfait, piscine peut être un peu petite mais agréable. J'y retournerai si j'étais à nouveau de passage à Ronda !

a most enjoyable hotel. The room had the best vistas we have ever had in any other hotel. Quiet but only 5 mins walk fro a host of great cafes and restaurants. Our meal at the Monteliria hotel was excellent and our table on the terraza overlooked the old bridge.

The housekeeping and bar staff were absolutly wonderful and I could not fault them. However the reception staff and waiting staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. We were travelling with a small baby and needed that extra bit of help which was neither offered or given. Such a shame because it is a beautiful building if a little faded.

Excellent hotel. Cadre magnifique pour un batiment en pleine ville: superbes jardins et chambre donnant sur la campagne environnante, au dessus de la falaise. Il manque toutefois l'esprit Andalou : hotel "so british"

The quality of the restaurant has changed. Since our last stay (we stayed there in october 2007)there is no longer a good restaurant, which we found in 2006 and 2007. Also the bar was not open til 23. It's a pity.

Great location and fantastic view from balcony right on the edge of Ronda. Hotel park was great. The room smelled like an ash tray.

This is a wonderful old colonial hotel set in beautiful grounds with outstanding views at the top of the newer side of town. Within walking distance of everything. Staff were impeccable.

The hotel is a little way from town centre but wonderfully situated on the escarpment edge with outstanding views and lovely gardens. Easy access and plentiful parking in grounds. Real old-fashioned space and comfort. We had good breakfasts and outstanding paella for 2.

Before arriving in Ronda i read that the Parador had taken the primacy from the Reina Victoria, we, personally return it to them. Pity that we had planned to stay only one night, but experience gave us a lesson for the next time, that will come.

Beautiful setting with room balcony overlooking mountains. At the end of the town centre so very quiet. Staff were extremely helpful and even ran to pharmacy when I hurt my foot (and I didn't ask them to!). Highly recommended.

A beautiful hotel with breathtaking views, spacious rooms and beautiful surroundings. A perfect place to kick back and relax. Only a couple of minutes walk to the new town centre. Reasonably priced and easy to find. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful setting, nice hotel - a little old fashioned but that was part of the charm. Once hitch - they had no record of my booking with Venere!

The basic rooms are unimpressive--some fine, others not of 4 star quality. We upgraded to the suite and it was excellent. The hotel grounds and ambience are excellent.

Dramatic location with spectacular views over the valley below, very competent & welcomong staff, nice restaurant, beautifull surrondings, spacious well appointed rooms. A real touch of "Victoriana" but with up to date facilities.

The Husa Reina Victoria has a wonderful setting and grounds. The view from the hotel (and the large balcony of each room) of the gorge is spectcular. The hotel is historic and the common areas are very spacious and nice. The rooms, however, are very small and appear to be in need of upkeep and attention. We also felt the staff was not very friendly or outgoing.

We have been there for the first time and we only stayed for one night. But it was okay to see the town and the sights. The hotel is close to the city. It could also be wonderful to start excursions to the wondeful countryside around from here.
