The people on reception were very helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious but a little old and lacking in style. The fittings and furnishings are in need of updating. Room was not particularly clean - hairs stuck to floor and dirty patches. During our stay there was very bad rain and we were woken in the night by rain dripping in. The landings were flooded and the stairs treacherous. The reception staff coped well and quickly arranged another room for us. The hotel is directly on the sea front and the parking is a way away in the basement of a supermarket car park, ie not attached to the hotel - but was secure. Overall, I would not stay here again. The hotel was more of a "hostal" in style.
