Husa Gran Via is conveniently situated in the proximities of the old part of the city, and very close to La Redonda cathedral. Not as 'glamarous' as I would expect for a 4 star hotel. The reception area was souless and spartan, with non of the usual 'buzz' one would expect fom a city hotel. Not as welcoming/chic as it looked on the photos. The room was clean, but quite basic and smallish for a 4 star (but had massive marble bathroom!) Very limited mini bar (beer, juice, water) so would suggest buying in a few bottles of wine if you like a drink in your room. Room service was prompt and friendly, but choice was very limited, esp if you are vegetarian! Nothing to do in the hotel at night, esp if you are on your own, Not a soul in the souless reception bar downstairs. Spanish TV & room service is your lot I'm afraid! Overall it was OK, but for the amenities and price, I since discovered there are better hotels in the area. Oh, and the entire hotel is completely non smoking, so you have to go out on the street to smoke. Just like home!
