Hotel Husa Illa - Barcelona

The bed was not comfortable, and on the otherhand the room space was exelant. the room is quait big comparing to other hotels in europ. the hotel located in a good shopping mall and nice street for wolking. thanks

The hotel employees were rude, the entire hotel smelled like cigarettes, the rooms were dirty (it looked like blood was smeared all over the walls and room safe) If you're looking for a quiet room, get one that faces the street. Before I switched rooms, I had one that faced the back side of the hotel which overlooks a disco. The disco stays open until 4am playing loud techno music. I was not told about the disco when checking in and the staff was arrogant and unaccommodating...should I go on? The only plus was the location.

I have stayed at this hotel before and knew already that it was of very good quality. I was surporised however when booking in that I was offered a junior suite without any extra charge. This consiated of a living room with private toilet and shower room attached. The living room had TV, sofa,desk table and fridge. The separate bedroom had twin beds and a seprate bathroom with shower and toilet etc. The room number incidentally was 415 - any would be visitors may care to note. Breakfast I fould was extra at 13 euros per day, but there was plenty to eat, both hot and cold and plenty of variety. The hotle is on the street called Diagonal and above a vast shopping complex (called L'illa)which a great number of outlets. The hotel is away from the busy and at times chaotic city centre, but the hotel is served by several buses that take the visitor to all the main sightseeing areas. Given that a 10 journey ticket costs only 6 euros this is excellent for the casual visitor. A journey can also involve changing from one bus to another or the metro/tram without any extra charge. The hotel is 4 star and lives up to its categorisation. As I have said, I have stopped there before and will stop there again when next in Barcelona.

Hotel was good. Booked 3 rooms for 2 nights at 65 euro per room/night. Had difficulty getting car parking from the hotel (17 euro/day) as they have limited availability which we were not made aware of. Alternative parking is in same huge car park but 36 euro/day) Location is good with a 10 minute walk to the tourist bus stop. Other than one unhelpful memeber of staff I would still recommend it and use it again.

Everything was just great, extremely big rooms, clean, quiet, great... the only thing is that there was this man in the reception the one day who happened to be very rude... don´t understand howcome they do this jobs if they just hate treating with people which happen to be their guests... if they do not have good manners, I am talking about a man who was in the lobby march 20, morning. The one who received us at our stay was really nice & helpful.

Communication in English is poor, but they try hard to help,

The hotel was clean and tidy, Was a bit out of the way from the city centre but did not cause any real problems. Staff were friendly and polite. The rooms were cleaned and new towels, bed linen each day. We even got a suite because the had no double rooms left at no extra cost. All in all great value for money and would go back again.
