ci è stata data la stanza 709,con un panorama bellissimo su piazza catalunya. dietro l hotel c è il ristorante el asador de aranda,dive si magia ottimo asado. a qualche metro dall hotel c è il ristorante el mussol,che fa parte di una catena. per una cena elegante andate al botafumeiro, ottima paella,e per una cena romantica da el asador de aranda in avenida del tibidabo e fatevi prenotare un tavolo in giardino.

booked for double bed but given 2 single beds. REception staff very helpful and efficient.

La situacion es excelente pero la recepción y las habitaciones son minúsculas, con pocas atenciones extras para el viajero, escasos complementos en el baño y falto de renovación

after taking bath in early morning finding out that no towels where available in bathrooms or elsewhere, annoyed me enormously. When saying say to reception-staff on checking out they did not know what to answer

The position is excellent but No Italy Channel, 3€/10 min for the internet service,poor welcoming and you can hear very well thw noise of the traffic.

The location was great. The quitness of the room was poor.

reception staff a little brusque on arrrival but always happy to help and we were able to leave luggage on last day as flight was much later than checking out time. room a little disappointing, clean but could do with a lick of paint. having said that the location was fantastic, very central. a very good base. breakfast is extra but that suited us as we liked to do our own thing. I dont think its four star accomodation but the location made up for the pit falls

Location of the hotel is very good except when the street beggar is playing music in the street below you can hear it very clearly while sleeping. Room was clean and good size.

Posizione ottima per viitare barcelona...metro a due passi e "la Rambla" dietro l'angolo...c'era un'artista di strada che suonava la fisarmonica ogni mattina...adorabile...:-)

Hotel is ideally situated near Catlunya; we do not think it deserves 4stars: noise from next door bathroom; no lobby; almost no service; enough personnel but of almost no help, do not know the city or cannot express themselves in English

The hotel was not as nice as the pictures provided on the internet. This was definitely not a 4 star hotel. The air condition did not work in the first room we were in. They switched us to a bigger room and the air did not work as well. We left one day early and still had to pay half price for the third day. My husband and I were very dissapointed.

Good location, next to Plaza Catalunya and El Corte Ingles and tube stations. Don't plan to spend any time in the hotel's public areas, use it as a base for exploring Barcelona. Very nice bathrooms.

This Hotel is very modern and clean. The bar is quite a disappointment as it is just at one end of the recption area and has no separate lighting, music, athmosphere etc so is more like a waiting room, not the sort of place you would relax in before going out for a meal or after a night out. The swimming pool is the size and depth of a large Turkish bath. The distance between the Hotel and the beach is probably very accurate if you are a crow flying, but I was very disappointed to have to cross a road system that resembles the M25 to get to the beach on foot. The Hotel is very near to a metro station which made getting to anywhere in Barcelona very easy. When we got to the hotel they did not have any record of our resevation through Venere.com but the staff were really helpful and luckily they had a room and honoured the price as I took a printout of my internet booking.

remark "noise level in romms": in our room *312* you hear during the water pipe running!!! it's obvious that you will hear the traffic, but the pipes....

Perhaps it was due to the time of year we were traveling but we got a nicer room than we expected. We had a wonderful stay. This hotel is very well located for visiting all the sites in the city. Our only complaint was that you sometimes had to wait a while to get your key at the desk.

We liked the Hotel, especially the location. Having a room with the views as advertised contributed to our pleasant experience.Would consider staying again.

We were really delighted with the size of the room and the bathroom (much bigger than you'd get in the UK) and as an added bonus our room was on the 7th floor which meant we had a really nice balcony - which we didn't expect. One drawback was the absence of a bar as stated on the website (might have been due to a conference?) though the brilliant mini bar went a little way towards making up for that! Breakfast in bed was lovely & very prompt, however a bit on the small size or overpriced for the €12 per person. All in all we had a really enjoyable stay and it was really good value for 4*.

The location is great. As for the hotel, you can see that the facility is ageing and that hardly any money is invested to keep it up.

There was no clear indication in the offer that breakfast was not included in the price. Therefore the additional € 24.- +VAT per day for breakfast were an unpleasant surprise.

An excellent hotel that is situated right at the heart of the City. The location is idael for all transport links and is only a short distance away from the mainline railway station. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast was good and the standsrd fsr exceeded that which we have experienced in simila hotels. A good base for a city break. Well worth a visit.

We had a very nice room location in the Hotel, I looking fwd to come back into this Htl. in May!
