A very convenient and nice hotel to stay in close to Zurich Airport. The free shuttle bus is efficient and convenient. The room was very good for the price and typically compact. The breakfast buffet was a little basic but perfectly adequate for the reasonable price (CHF 15 a head). The check-in staff were competent and friendly face-to-face. They could have been slightly more helpful on the phone when I was in a sticky situation late at night, needing a room for the night prior to the one I had booked, due to an unforseen blizzard. They did try their sister hotel the Alegra, put me on to them saying they had a room, but they didn't actually have one. It would have been a nice touch if they could have taken my number, found an actual vacancy and rung me back with the information. Not their job, I know, so not a criticism, but it would have been a nice touch for someone with roaming credit running out at an alarming rate and no phone book to hand. I didn't walk very far, admittedly, but there did not seem to be many alternative restaurants in the near vicinity if one wanted an alternative to the hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The most immediate restaurant is the Peking Garden which is about a 3 minute walk on the opposite side of the roundabout. We had two dishes there which were good and cost CHF 29 in total, compared to the CHF 50 the two evening meals in the hotel would have cost. There is a cafe in sight also, but I did not visit it.

Beware of occasional parties of schoolkids playing "knock and run". Great location, 5 minutes to nice running track through forest, great value for expensive Switzerland.

Nice room, but expensive compared to US standards. The bed was the most comfortable of all the hotels we stayed out during our trip.

I have stayed here at least 10 times over the past 15 years and quality is always excellent in every respect. This time, we mistakenly left a bag of duty-free liquor in the lobby and didn't notice it was missing for 36 hours. We checked at the desk and they had saved it for whomever came to claim it. That is super honesty as well.

Great stay for early morning flight out from Zurich airport. I can't imagine figuring out the Zurich train station to go to the airport early in the morning, so Welcome Inn was an excellent choice. Rooms were spacious and very clean and the staff were really welcoming. Internet and computer use in the lobby is a bonus.

I would never stay in this hotel again. Zurich is expensive but the 130 CHF I paid was way too high for this hotel. I am not sure I would even pay half that to stay here. It does not appear this hotel has had any updates for at least 20 years. In addition, they do not offer wireless internet in the rooms. Upon arriving in the room, the room itself smelled awful. There is a fabric covered "headboard" running across the wall with the bed and it was absolutely filthy. I didn't want my pillow or head to get even close to the wall. I was thankful I arrived very late at night and had to get up early to catch a flight as I was afraid to even touch anything in the room. I was exteremly dissapointed with the quality of this hotel and the cleanliness considering it is in Zurich which is a great, high-quality city. I stayed in another hotel near the airport in the past and it was extremely nice compared to the Welcome Inn.

Front-desk people were excellent. The location is good close to airport, Kloten Railway station and fairly priced. One of the drivers of the Airport shuttle bus does not have basic instinct of respecting and valuing the customers. He was a bit rude to many travelers during my observation

The hotel was nice and clean. The front desk staff were awesome. They were very helpful and eager to please. The food in the surrounding area was very expensive. Close by the train station. Nice for the price.

The hotel is about 5 min walk from Kloten station. The room is very big. You can use wireless in the lobby. Staff are handsome, friendly and helpful. There's sound of plane but not that annoying. S33 is the train you can take to the downtown in every 30 min. Recommend.

Staff were friendly and helpful in setting up a shuttle to the airport the next day, and they upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite for the same price. It did seem somewhat expensive for the quality of the room, but that might be Zurich pricing rather than the hotel itself.

The location was good for an overnight stay the night before an early flight. The transfers were a great inclusion. The only negative experience we had was one of the staff walking into our room without knocking!

The hotel was a moderate type of hotel and not really up to Swiss standards. The saving grace was the fact that our room slept 4 people and had 2 TV sets. The airport bus was good and on time the driver was very nice and competant. The train station was close but we had trouble getting back as the station was called Kloton but we got of at Kloton but it really was'nt the right place and we had to get a taxi back to the hotel. We never did figure out where we went wrong. Overall the hotel was fine for a one night stay and the price was fairly good so we really had no big issues.

We arrived on a Sunday and everything in Zurich was closed. We needed to buy milk for a cup of tea and we were told we could catch the free shuttle bus to the airport. We appreciated this information and followed up on it. For our liking, travelling by train the hotel was a bit too far out of town.

The hotel is located near the train station to Zurich, a travel time of 15-20min, every 30 min. The shuttle to the airport is well organized. Price is moderate compared to hotels in Zurich. Ideal for a short stay if you need to be in Zurich or other nearby towns for business.

We were traveling with a family group of 5 adults. We booked a double and triple room for our inbound and outbound stay. The hotel was near the airport and very easy to locate. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and spoke English perfectly. They were helpful with directions to Zurich, via the nearby train and assisted us with the train tickets since the station was closed on Sunday. We were amazed at the cleanliness of the whole hotel. Our rooms were immaculate and we loved the fabulous down comfortors, pillows and ironed sheets! The rooms were spacious and our triple had a separate room for the extra bed, along with its own TV, desk and closet. The hotel restaurant and bar were a lifesaver for our late arrival. There are also several restaurants within a short walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone flying in to Zurich.

Some construction work being done so small lobby was cramped. Location and shuttle to nearby Zurich airport excellent and convenient. Train to city nearby. Left too early for breakfast but stayed another night in a sister hotel called Allegra and had both breakfast and dinner there - very good. We would stay again if had occasion to fly in or out of Zurich

Welcome Inn is great for someone needing a convenient place near the airport. They have a van that goes back and forth to the airport every 20 minutes or so. We got in after 9 p.m. and caught the free hotel van at the airport. Then when we departed,a day later we got the 5:15 a.m. van to the airport. We had a no smoking room. Had requested a king bed but got 2 twins. Hotel was fully booked with travelers making connections, so we put the beds together. The young lady on duty when we checked in was basically unfriendly. However, the next morning, the staff at the receptin desk were very helpful. They were able to assist us with directions, train tickets for the day, etc. The train station is within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was not included in our reservation, but we wound up buying it, although expensive, because there were no other facilities nearby. Room was quiet and comfortable - not a "bargain" price, but reasonable enough for Zurich and convenient for our needs.

It's a really good place to reach the airport. Is important to have the map of the location of the hotel because from the train is not so easy to find, even if is very close to the station.

There is some communication gap between Venere and the hotel, as we were not expected at the reception. Anyways, after seeing the confirmation mail with us, they provided us the room. Also, we were provided a twin bed room instead of a double bed room as mentioned in the reservation. Otherwise, considering the cleanliness of the place and behaviour of the staffs, I would recommend this hotel.

I was nicely surprized. The true cost of the room was 35% cheaper than what is posted in the room (87 CHF vs 142 CHF)which is a fair price. So great price / performance and as a bonus there is a regular shuttle to the airport (every half hour) and train station is a 5 minute walk away. The hotel even sells daily passes for all transportation within Zürich area ! No need to worry about the teller machines ... Have the pass charged to your room and you are off on the train, buses and tramways. The lady at the desk speaks good french so french speaking visitors won't have to wrestle with their school german or english. This will be my stop-over hotel in the future.

It is good, near the train station and the schedule of the shuttle bus is accurate between the airport and hotel. The price is not included the breakfast, so it will be great if it is included it.
