Hotel Alfa Zermatt - Zermatt

Nice, clean, quiet and tidy hotel room. Stuff are very friendly. I was allowed to leave some luggage there after I checked out to have a hiking and return to take my luggage and take a shower! The layout in the room is bad.

Perhaps the best part of the Alfa Hotel are its incredibly welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating staff. Yes, my room was small (rather typical for Zermatt), but I was out enjoying the spectacular surroundings all day anyway, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and hope to have the pleasure of a return visit.

The room was very clean and the view of the Matterhorn was incredible. Based on that I would return. On the negative side, the room was very small, but we managed. The cleanliness and view was well worth the small space.

A pleasant stay, though the hotel is a little dated and could use refurbishment. Found it to be quite expensive for what we got, but then Zermatt itself would be an expensive place to stay so perhaps in line with prices here. Perfectly adequate for our stay, and the location was very handy to train station and shops - easy to walk to.

Zermatt is a great village to stay at ,our staring point for the Gacier Express. The hotel was just off the main street,neat, friendly,clean and welcoming. We had a wonderful room with a full view of the Materhorne. Highly reccommend this hotel.

While we were there only for the night, we liked the hotel room. It was clean and well done. Also its very close to the station. The breakfast was excellent.

Disappointing room. Small with no balcony or view despite ad saying that most rooms had balcony and good view. Also hot water was warm at best. However price was good and breakfast was excellent at hotel Panorama next door.

When I got off the train the hotel taxi was waiting to take me to the property which had a breathtaking view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt well taken care of. I had a single room with a shared bath, which was very small, but clean.

Inexpensive hotel for Zermatt. It shares facilities with the Hotel Metropol next door and breakfast is served there in a very nice room with splendid view. Room was very compact and the shower required a screwdriver to get the temperature right. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

When booking we requested a room with a view of the Matterhorn and this was fulfilled - for which we are very grateful. A friendly hotel, comfortable, with breakfast at the neighbouring hotel.

We had a wonderfull experience!!! BUT, be warned, you are not allowed to drive to the town with your car. A lot of tourists made the mistake and it can cost you a hefty 300CHF fine!

One of the best hotels I've encountered in my travels! Outstanding price for the location. I had a balcony that overlooked the Matterhorn, a mini bar, and a very spacious room! Upon my arrival I actually wondered if I had the wrong room! The only problem I had was that the housekeeping staff kept coming in at 0830 in the morning without even knocking! I may have forgotten to use the "do not disturb" sign, but I have never been to a hotel where they simply barge in without knocking at 0830. The overall quality of the property, value, comfort of the room, and the view was very much worth it though!

Alfa Zermatt is joined with other hotel which is 4 star (Metropol), breakfast and reustarant are in Metropol. In generel good hotel, but overpriced like everything in Zermatt. Staff is friendly. Buffet is very modest.

Exellent meals at adjacent hotel.

Hotel is a little difficult to find, there is no driveway or clear entry way. You share the dining facility of the adjacent/sister hotel. It was clean convienient and a nice place to stay.
