Great hotel and location! Staff can be more enthusiastic about the services they provide. I suppose that this is still the heritage from former Yugoslavia times.

Stayed here only for one night, in a single room with a double bed on the 4th floor (424). Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Needs significant renovation. Just very old and not updated. Toilets don't even have normal flush mechanisms, just ancient valves which you need to turn to flood the bowl and turn back. Reception is far from grand and wholly unimpressive. Lighting is too bright in the hallways and too dark in the rooms...just poor quality. Elevator is incredibly small...if you are in a group you would need to take turns. Beds are not very comfortable -- old, worn, dip in the middle and poor quality to begin with. The room smelled like burning hair. Could hear everything in neighboring rooms and in different floors. Hotel is laid out like a labyrinth. If you want a cheap place to stay, go somewhere else. If you want a nice 4-star or 5-star hotel experience, go somewhere else. I've also stayed in the Sheraton a few blocks away which was much nicer. It's a pity, because I usually try to do local hotels over big chains. The saving grace was the free breakfast, which was good quality and fairly comprehensive.
