They tried too hard to be a posh hotel but failed - the reception is grand but the breakfast room a 1970 time warp. Think B+B and you wont feel dissapointed. Great location and terrific views!

The hotel itself was good and made for an enjoyable holiday. However, there seems to be no correspondance between the hotel and this web site. When we arrived there, there was no reservation for us and the hotel said that this had happened before when people had booked through this site. I would not recommend using Venere, instead I would prefer to use the hotel's own site (www.serena.com.mt)

By ferry
Gozo is located a short distance from Malta and there are numerous ferries leaving Cirkewwa (Malta ferry port) to Mgarr (Gozo ferry port) every hour. The ferry takes about 30 minutes to cover the distance between Malta and Gozo.

The comfortable yet classic restaurant is in a prime position on the top floor and therefore enjoys the magnificent panoramic views of the impressive cliffs and the open sea of Xlendi Bay.
This intimate restaurant which in summer extends on to the open belvedere has a very well-stocked bar and offers an appealing and mouth-watering menu. Items on the menu change daily and in addition to an array of international dishes, Gozitan and Maltese specialties are served regularly. An ‘a la carte’ menu and a wide choice of desserts are also available.
Also, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays the restaurant restaurant features live entertainment by Johnney Golden from the UK.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel.
