This hotel was "as advertised". The reception was welcoming and, as my German is weak at best, the willingness of the hotel team to cater to our wishes was very good. The only problem was parking. The website advertised parking, but it turned out that it was only free if you were able to park in one of the 8 spaces in front of the hotel. Otherwise you had to pay a discounted rate at a local parking garage.

An easy 10-minute walk from the train station. I had a single room but did not opt for the breakfast, so I have no idea about the quality of breakfast. There was some noise from outside in the night as guests returned to another hotel, but closing the window took care of that. Overall a decent place. Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient.

Don't let the hotel's location get you down, within a few short blocks is the charming bit of Wurzburg. You should consider a boat trip to Veitshochheim - a gem of a small German town.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location to see the sites. Noise was from revelers outside, walking past when the bars closed. Drapes didn't shut out the light very well, so room wasn't very dark.

This was the first time we spent in Wurzburg. The hotel was fine, Close to the centre of the city. Room was fine. Breakfast was fine. So. no complaints.

What a great hotel! Comfortable, clean rooms, right at the end of the pedestrian zone. Short walk to the Saint's Bridge and City Center. We'll definately stay here on the next trip to Würzburg!

How to reach City Partner Hotel Strauss
By car
The hotel is easily reachable from all highways. From the A3 or A7, Nürnberg-Stuttgart-Ulm, take the exit Würzburg-Heidingsfeld, and proceed on the B19. Exit at S. Oliver Arena, and follow the signs for Würzburg Stadtmitte/Kongresszentrum/Hauptbahnhof. Proceed along the river Main until you reach the intersection at Alter Kranen. Turn right into Juliuspromenade, where the hotel is located.
By train
The main train station is only 800 meters from the hotel and can be reached in 5 to 10 minutes on foot. Alternatively you may take the city express train line S2 or S4 from the train station to the Ulmer Hof stop, right at the hotel.
