The City Partner Hotel Alter Speicher was inaugurated in 1993 in the Old Town of Wismar, which has been declared a UNESCO world heritage, on the Baltic Sea. It is only 3 minutes on foot from the largest market place of Northern Germany and from the city center of this beautiful hanseatic city with lots of charm.
The property features a luxurious ambience and offers many amenities such as a lobby-bar, the excellent gallery-restaurant To'n Ossen, a sauna, a solarium and a wide range of meeting, banqueting and conference facilities.

Dies ist keinesfalls ein 4Sterne Hotel - 2 sind angemessen. Der ganze Komplex ist verbaut und unübersichtlich, zu wenige (und enge) Parkmöglichkeiten, eher gleichgültiges Personal (abgesehen vom Restaurant). Das einzig Gute sind Lage und Preis, und sauber ist es auch.

The hotel is old fashioned and a lot needs to be done/renewed. The lobby was just full of furnitures and a strange assortment of things standing around. The interiour was designed completely without love.

Clean welcoming hotel with friendly and resourceful staff and is ideally located to explore the center and harbourside areas of Wismar. There is a Croatian restaurant close by which isn't featured on the map supplied by the tourist board, stay well away!

Beautiful rooms and the whole city is very nice looking. And you can check in any time after 3pm. There was no Internet in room. Only one computer in the lobby.

Coming from Lübeck: proceed on the Lübische Straße, and turn left into Ulmenstraße. Turn onto Fischerreihe and then right into Breite Straße.
Coming from Rostock: follow the Rostocker Straße, and turn right into Bauhofstraße. Proceed on Wasserstraße, and turn left into Ulmenstraße once you have reached the harbour. Turn onto Fischerreihe and then right into Breite Straße.
Coming from Schwerin: proceed on Schweriner Straße, and turn right into Dr. Leber Strasse. Take a left onto Bauhofstraße. Proceed on Wasserstraße, and turn left into Ulmenstraße once you have reached the harbour. Turn onto Fischerreihe and then right into Breite Straße.
By train
The property is 8 minutes on foot from the train station. Proceed on Mühlengrube, and, once you have passed the St. Nikolai church, turn left into Bohrstraße.
By airplane
The Schwerin-Parchim airport is about 80 km from the property.
The Rostock-Laage airport is about 70 km from the property.
The Lübeck-Blankensee airport is about 65 km from the property.
