Hotel Belvédère - Wengen

This place is awesome. No words can describe tht view that we had from the room balcony. The hotel staff is very welcoming. It is right at the bottom of Jungrau and close to the train station as well. Breakfast and dinner is an added feature because there is not much to eat in the area. I would love to go back and stay there.

Charged 2 francs every 5 minutes to use the internet!!

Hotel was nice and cosy and very clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was a little small but then Switzerland is VERY expensive so compared to other places it was fairly good value for money. The view from the window was worth everything - awesome view of Jungfrau and a dramatic valley (although rooms on the other side of the hotel wouldn't have had quite such a spectacular view). Would definitely stay there again. Perfect for our honeymoon!

Beautiful! Balcony overlooks snowcapped mountains, so try to get one. We got lucky! Nice clean rooms and good bathroom. Lovely, large dining hall--white linens, flowers, floor-to-ceiling windows. Advise to get breakfast and dinner included b/c limited restaurant choices in Wengen--at least in the summer. Bar is comfy, too, and nice for a glass of wine. Be sure to take train to Jungfraujoch. Tickets in Wengen station for 150 euros and well worth it. Perfect stay, nice English speaking staff. We highly recommend.

Wengen and the surrounding country are amazing. The people are friendly and the mountain transportation is excellent. Hotel Belvedere is an older grand hotel, with great dining, lounge, sitting rooms, library and other public areas near the lobby. The views are just outstanding. The staff were international and universally polite and helpful. We had a memorable stay and recommend this hotel. It is old and parts are being remodeled. But it is a classic hotel and we enjoyed it very much.

This was a fantastic stay. The staff was very attentive to our needs and very welcome to help with any questions or concerns we had at any time of the day. Would highly recommend.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Belvedere. The room was nice and spacious, though the noise from downstairs and the stairwell made sleeping difficult at times. Then, there were the other guests who had forgotten their key and could not rouse a hotel employee for entrance. Consequently, they climbed the fire escape to our room on the first floor and proceeded to knock on our window and beg for us to come down and let them in. I wish the Belvedere had another plan for guests who lock themselves out. My main suggestion is that the Belvedere provide rubber bath mats in all rooms with tubs and that they advise their guests that the shape of the tub makes them very slick. My daughter took one misstep and fell right out of the tub. Fortunately, she was not hurt.
