Take the I-295S/BW Parkway approximately 25 miles to Route 50 W/New York Avenue. Turn right onto 14th Street, NW. Proceed for two blocks to First Street, NW and turn right. First Street, NW becomes Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Continue for 2 blocks into Washington Circle. Take circle halfway around to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW and turn right. The Melrose hotel is one block down, on the left.

Distance is 25 miles/40 km; approximate driving time is 38 minutes.
Take Route 267 towards Washington to I-66E. Follow I-66E 8 miles and across Roosevelt Bridge. Follow signs on the right towards Downtown, which will lead you onto Constitution Avenue, NW. Continue for a mile and turn left onto 23rd Street. Continue to Washington Circle. Follow circle three quarters around to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW and turn right. The Melrose hotel is one block down, on the left.
