good hotel... but inconsistent with information. this was my second stay at this property. booked two rooms over four days and when I questioned why one did not have air conditioning, I was told there was no air conditioning in any of the rooms. when I commented that my room had air but my friend's did not... I got another story about offices being converted to guest rooms... other than that, we had a good stay. nice, varied breakfast provided in the room rate.

MDM Hotel The hotel is located in Konstytucji Pl. 1, there's a restaurant (Czech cuisine) just nextdoor. Check-in was ok, hard to get smile from the reception girls but they were quite efficient so this isn't a complaint, both check in and check out were quite fast. The room has a double bed (initially booked as a Single room, I was given a Double), breakfast is not included unless specified (but worth taking it!). Outstandingly clean room, TV, mini-bar, hairdrier, shower and free stuff like body cream, shampoo... :D It was very appreciated as I only had a limited hand luggage. A warning against the sockets, the German plugs did not seem to fit in there (picture attached for further reference) but the Italian plugs (without earth connector) worked well. I'd recommend picking up an adapter at the airport if needed, so it is specific for Poland. The buffet breakfast is pure luxury, a table with several kinds of fruit, one with typical pastries and jam, one with typical Polish breakfast items like eggs and different kinds of sausage, one with cheese and cold cuts, one with different kinds of breads, one with cereals, and one with veggies/pickles. Further another table with coffee/tea/milk and one with juices. Overall it's a huge breafast that made me feel full all day, absolutely recommended. The only two negative things are...my room was in a corner of the building, right under the Czech restaurant, so it meant a lot of noise coming both from the restaurant customers and the road. Being very tired I did not have a problem with it but I would have appreciated something quieter too. The other...there were two windows, but one was covered by one of those huge wall advertisements, I could see through...but not quite as if there wasn't. Overall I'd return even just for the breakfast. :) Highly appreciated!

The front desk staff, while reasonably helpful, were not very enthusiastic. In addition, the airport taxi that they ordered us ended up costing significantly more than the taxi company I normally use in Warsaw, making me wonder if the hotel receives a kickback for using a specific, more expensive company. A trip that normally costs around 30PLN (I have done this trip 4 times previously) cost us 48PLN. Be aware, as previous travellers have mentioned that this is a very busy location trafficwise, therefore trams, buses and cars run even through the night, so you're better if you are a heavy sleeper. Overall good value for the money and a quite good location.

I would like to write my comment on the MDM hotel but upon arrival they informed me that they moved my reservations to the Metropol Hotel, 4 blocks away. Our stay at teh Metropol was horrible. They made us wait over 4 hours to check in, complained to us not to wait in the lobby to check in. The rooms have no air conditioning which normally is not a problem, but when you factor in that the room is right on the main traffic circle so having the window open was extremelly noisey, oh did I mention that the entire side of the building is covered in an advertisement which prevent a breeze from entering the room. You only get one pillow which was so small that folding it in half was useless. We ended up checking out after one night and checked into the Marriott two blocks away for only an additional $25 a night. I would not recommend the MDM or the Metropol to anyone if other options are available.

Good hotel, well connected and not far from the city centre. Only problem was the noise of traffic.

Well pleased with the hotel overall and it's close location to all public transport links. The breakfast was varied and excellent. The only downside was it was a hot weekend when we visited and there was no airconditioning making the room extremely hot and airless. But overall a good hotel and I would stay there again. Another plus there was a typical Polish pub next door serving traditional food to the 'locals' and the place was always lively so a good end to a busy 'touristy' day.

Hotel well located, but the sorrounding is very noice, because of the heavy bus and tram traffic, but icing of the cake is the restaurant in the same bulding " Zwieck". Exellent food at good price, relayy worth of visiting even when not staying at the hotel itself.

Well, Warsaw, where I was for a scientific congress, unfortunately, is not a very beauty city (except stare miasto and some park or museum). But the hotel was very good, also well served by public transport and good restaurants in the neighborood (and in all the city in general).

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was ok, but with view to a rather grim back yard. But then again: no noice from the street... The hotel location was better then exspected. I had a nice week - and will use the same hotel when I`m back in Warsaw - if the price is still ok :)

We stayed at MDM Hotel for one night and were very impressed with the service and cleanliness of the room. The ladies at the front desk are delightful and very helpful! The hotel is a little away from the Old Town, but very close to public transport. Would def. recommend this hotel!

This is a better quality Hotel for the small extra than the oft quoted Metropol, if they keep the prices down they should have a steady custom, certainly I would use it again. Location is two tram stops further out from the Centre than the Metropol, so higher floors miss out on the traffic noise with double glazing. To and from the Airport, take the 188 bus rather than the usual 175 and you get within 5 minutes walk. Can't comment on the food as I left before breakfast both mornings, I asked for packets but only got it once, put that one down to language problems but there was an offer for guests to eat dinner in the Restaurant for €10. Go for it!

Having a short 3 day holiday we liked the hotel. Location was central and traffic noise can be heard if you have to keep the windows open. Nice rooms and plenty of space. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I can recommend. P Makinen, Finland

Website indicated a large bed. When we arrived, we were given two twin beds. We could not be changed to a larger bed until the next day. Our new room was the same situation except the pushed together beds were covered by one comforter but separate sheets and blankets. This is called a marriage bed and is common in Poland, but we did not expect it. Also, our first night was very cold and they could not turn on the heat.
