About Hotel Les Sables Noirs

exterior Hotel Les Sables Noirs exterior Just few steps from the sea, directly facing the wonderful Baia di Ponente, the name of the hotel comes from the unique colour of the shore and from the very fine black sand, which covers the beach. Hotel Les Sables Noirs is considered one of the most important hotel in the Aeolian archipelago. It combines the naturalistic beauties with the style and the services that belong to an exclusive atmosphere.

The rooms, all spacious and comfortable, are furnished in typical Mediterranean style and many of them have got a wide flowering balcony.

The garden, located in the heart of the hotel, offers the possibility of enjoying the forms and perfumes of the local flora. From here, guests have direct access to the restaurant La Baia di Ponente which is situated on the spacious panoramic terrace. The property also features a wonderful swimming poo and an equipped beach.

From the moment we arrived at the dock we knew we were in for something special. We were pickup up within 10 minutes of the arrival of the boat, and our bags were brought to our room while we checked in. The use of free bikes, nearness to the mud baths and private beach made this an excellent stay. Our only regret was not staying longer. The service was phenomenal. Recommended!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but some of the facilities (pool area and bathrooms) looked old and needed repairing or more cleaning. No views from the rooms which was disappointing plus there were ants in the room too. I think the prices are a bit high, but restaurant and staff were top quality. Private beach was incorrectly advertised as it should've said private beach AREA; the actual beach is public. Enjoyed my stay, but may have looked at another place if I had stayed longer than two nights.

My feelings for this location grew on me, as the island is a bit more rustic than expected. The setting is beautiful, the restaurant excellent and the staff very helpful. Every room has a large balcony, and even those that don't face the water have wonderful views (our had a view of the pool and volcano which was very nice).
