Hotel Garden Vulcano - Vulcano

Very recent hotel. Good quality of workmanship. Nice room and balconies. Good overall services. Excellent buffet for breakfast. Good meal at night.

We had some difficulty locating this hotel since the online map only shows where the island is in relation to the Aeolian islands and Italy but not where the hotel is! Having said that, Vulcano is a small place and the hotel is just a 5-10 minute walk from the port and fanghi (mudbaths) and only 2 minutes from the black sand beach of porto di Ponente. The breakfast coffee was particularly insipid and even the italians took exception to it although we weren't offered the fresh cappucino! The rooms were very spacious, with a good hot shower (v. important after you've been to the mudbaths or up the volcano!) and nice individual balconies with views over the grounds full of flowers. The staff did not speak very good english, but they made up for it in enthusiasm and service.

The staff was amazing and so helpful. We went in the offseason and were the only ones in the hotel, but they still put out a nice breakfast for us. I would DEFINITELY recommed this hotel.

I stayed in a single room (or may be it was double room for single use??) in this hotel for 2 nights. I have payed only 40 Euros per night including breakfast!! Compared to what is normally offered in Italy (even in more expensive hotels!) the room was really large, and in addition there was a private balcony!! The bathroom is large as well, looks quite renovated, with a nice large mirror. Shower was working perfectly (which is not always the case in Italy!) and no water was coming out of the shower to the floor of the bathroom (which is really a rare and perfect case!!). Everything was perfectly clean. The breakfast was not very rich, but the croussants were very tasty. The sea is very close. I will for sure stay again in this hotel when I am back to Vulcano.

Great place. Close to port and different beaches. Nice staff. Would stay there again. No internet acces in hotel though.

The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bathroom was large. There was no clock (alarm or otherwise) in the room so bring your own. Very few hangers but drawers were available. Water pressure in the shower was awesome!!
