Park Hotel Le Fonti - Volterra

Nice hotel, just 10 minutes walking to the center of Volterra. Nice outdoor swimming pool and big jacuzzy (inside). Good restaurant but a little bit expensive. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel

Lovely property, very nice clean rooms, good size bathrooms which is a plus for Italy, comfortable beds, good breakfast. We had a wonderful time in spite of the fact that it rained and was cold, freezing cold at the end of April. We had dinner on the property and it was one of the absolutely best meals, served very elegantly, very tasty and the staff was absolutely the most gracious. If we have the opportunity to stay there for a longer time during the summer it can be a wonderful experience. Although I somehow doubt that we will see much of the sea or Corsica as we were told by the staff (may be with binoculars). Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The hotel is loud! Thin walls; we could hear every word our room neighbours spoke. The long corridors with floor tiles and nothing to absorb noise were not helping either. Quality of breakfast is poor, even by Italian standards. Selection (breakfast buffet) is acceptable, though.

A very nice, comfortable and clean hotel with an excellent professional staff. A pleasure to stay here

Modern, efficient hotel out of town

Another great stay at Le Fonti, with the ever present Eduardo looking after the restaurant and breakfast area. Great Kitchen and Pedro gives the hotel a personal touch and care, especially his wine tips!!

Nonostante avessimo scelto la junior suite la stanza non era molto grande e piuttosto semplice. La colazione potrebbe essere migliore per un quattro stelle. Comunque bellissima piscina, panorama meraviglioso, hotel curato e Volterra è fantastica. Comodo il parcheggio dell'hotel anche se il centro è a 15 minuti a piedi. Although we had chosen the junior suite room was not very big and rather simple. Breakfast might be better for a four-star hotel. However beautiful pool, magnificent view, cared hotel and Volterra is fantastic. Useful parking even if the center is about 15 minutes.

Me parece increible que en el hotel no tengan un lugar para guardar el equipaje y no se pueda entrar en la habitación hasta las 15 h. Nosotros teniamos coche y dejamos el equipaje en él, però quisiera saber si llegas en taxi, que hace el cliente, visita la ciudad con la maleta???

We stayed at the hotel for 8 neights. You just have to taste the degustation menus!!! It means: just let Pedro take care of your choice ...

A room with a great view overlooking the hills and the pool area. Service was friendly and great. we enjoyed the food and wine and would recommend this hotel to all of our friends.

This is a fantastic hotel if you are looking for a romantic hideaway in the hills. We had a suite on the ground floor, room was very clean, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. It stated on the webste that Suites and Junior Suite featured a jacuzzi bath, however ours did not. Only downside was the rooms above are very loud due to tiled floors. It is a 10 minute walk to the main town, up some very steep hills - not for the faint hearted, but worth the climb. I would rate this hotel more as a 3* with a 5* view.

A recently converted convent on the edge of town, this is a bright, well equipped hotel with decent sized room, good bathroom (big shower cubicle), better than average breakfast and a large swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plentiful parking. Great views. The hotel restaurant looked good but you can eat well in Volterra without paying these prices. It's a 10-minute walk into town, mostly uphill and steep in parts. For once, this is a hotel that deserves its four stars. Good value at 110 euros in late summer.

This is our second visit we found this gem by accident the first time & would go back every year if we could the views from the pool terrace & rooms overlooking are stunning

The hotel and it's grounds are relatively new. When we visited there were few others staying which gave the public areas a cooler feel. The website photos don't really do it justice though. Local signposts made it easy to find. Good quality accommodation.
