Hotel City Gate - Vilnius

The location of the hotel is really nice, right outside of the old town. The rooms are large an comfortable, although the beds and linens were a bit strange. We needed three blankets to cover the bed. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel has a nice buffet breakfast. Free wireless internet, and computers if you don't have a laptop.

The hotel is located in 5 min from one of the main streets in medieval Old Town, but the immediate neighborhood of the hotel is composed of some half-demolished old garages. On the other hand, this provides convenient free parking right in the city center.

Fantastic location, one hop to the historic Gate of Dawn. Tidy hotel with nice restaurant at the premises. Rooms are medium-sized. No fridge in the room, but there is minibar at the reception. My side was very quiet.

Very helpful and pleasant staff, hotel situated within walking distance of both old town and transport links i.e. train and bus stations. Not sure if all facilities e.g. bar and resteraunt are available all year-round. Overall very happy with my stay.

Nice hotel! The quieter rooms are towards the backyard. Located just 100 m from the gate to the old town, so it's a good bargain compared the places inside the city walls. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast included in rate. Very good value!

Excellent value for money an quality

The location of this property is very good close to the bus and railway stations as well as to the famous Gate of Dawn. The centre of the old town is well reachable by foot, too. The staff was very kind and helpful and they spoke English very well. The brakfast during our stay was acceptable if not great. The rooms are spacious and quiet.

Very convenient location for old town and bus station or railway (but get good directions as the streets are quite irregular and you can make a wrong turn!) I was dissapointed to find your internet price was exactly the same as the hotel brochure listed (what happened to discounts?) Nevertheless it was good value and I like your method of not charging up front so you can cancel if plans change and don't have to hassel with a refund. Staff particularly nice.

THE HOTEL IS GOOD,IN THE CENTRE.THE PRICE IS GOOD.87 EURO A DOUBLE ROOM FOR DAY,BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN THE PRICE,PARKING FREE FOR THE CAR(I COME BY CAR FROM ITALY).UNFORTUNATELY IN THE ROOM THERE WASN'T AIR CONDITIONED.PERSONNEL AT THE RECEPTION IS VERY VERY KIND AND DISPONIBLE.

Excellent place for a business traveller. Walking distance location from city centre, very friendly staff at reception, large and comfortable rooms, and very attractive pricing. Recommended to all.

Very good location at the top of the old city. The old city hgte is just across the street so touring is simple. The train station is an easy walk even with wheeled suitcases and there is a supermarket within a block. The only thing we would suggest to the management is to reverse the layout of the room we were in to put the bed away from the windows and the sitting area in front of the windows.

This is a good place to stay. Its well located near the Gates of Dawn, with good access to the old city. There are hotels in the old city itself that can beat the location, but they cost more. The staff at City Gate were fantastic. They spoke very good English and were extremely helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. The hotel is set back from the street and is therefore naturally very quiet, although I would say whether you have a quiet stay is down to your luck, because the walls are thin and you can easily hear into the room next door. Overall an excellent place to stay, but would be better with a bit more protection from noisy occupants of the room next door.

Really, there was all I expected to be when ordering the room. Thank you very much. I would gladly return there again.
