This is a very old hotel that has been refurbished in a horrid part of Villach - a square by the rail/bus stations. Parking is difficult and open and we did not feel...

This is a very old hotel that has been refurbished in a horrid part of Villach - a square by the rail/bus stations. Parking is difficult and open and we did not feel is safe. The rooms are medium sized but very bare and there is a tiny bathroom with a shower. Brealfast was adequate but we went in at about 8.30 and many of the items had not been replenished (eg no croissants)recognising that value for money is not good in any case in Austria, this was particularly awful. The hotel says it is 4* but we do not feel it even reaches 2*. Wild horses would not get us back there.

We had a wonderful stay at City. As a first for us in Austria, following an Italian portian of our Holiday, what we found extremely refreshing was the great approach to Breakfast, and the wonderful spread provided. City will see us again.
