Hotel I Melograni - Vieste

We will not recommend this hotel - or town - off-season! Lots of restaurants are closed and not the best weather at this time of the year. Also a very long trip from Pescara Airport with small children in the car. Lots of curvy and narrow roads the last kilometers! The pool area was nice, but here as well: off-season means the outdoor bar was closed and not offered the cleanest pool. One of the pools was dirty! Our best greetings from Frederikke to a nice bartender! As you will understand, my review is based on an off-season experience!

Vieste was a great beach town but LOTS of people during the time we traveled since it was the busiest two weeks of the year. The Hotel Melograni beach was beautiful. The trip to Le Grotte was terrific and they will pick you up right at I Melograni. The staff was very helpful but the cost of the hotel was high as they have higher prices during this two week period. I would like to return at a different time of year. And yes, I would definitely stay at this hotel :)

Nice and good situated Hotel. you can walk into the town by foot. Rooms are in a good quality and big enough. As we were out of season (October)we can not give any comment on pool and beach life. Anyway, service staff was not very engaged as it was already end of season for them.

First visit to Vieste and I Melograni. Vieste was fantastic surprise! Public areas of hotel are beautiful. Gorgeous pool and outdoor areas. Room was good & no complaints about it. But had to close patio door because of mosquitoes. Not a swarm, but when trying to sleep even one mosquito is too much. Located outside the old part of Vieste, along the beach road. It is a modern resort hotel. Really enjoyed walking around the old town of Vieste and had fantastic dinner. Too bad we only had one night there. Hotel and Vieste are worth at least a few nights!

A new hotel Very friendly staff. The only place (we've stayed at) in Italy which serves North-Western European breakfast (whether you see it as plus or a minus depends on you. Anyway,the many German visitors surely liked it. Vieste is fantastic to stroll around in. However, Hotel I Melograni, is situated at the wrong (rather uninviting entrance) to the town. Going downtown in the evening, joining the crowds of locals and tourists, is an absolute must.

Actually a very clean, convenient and complete property - the only problem was the sound-proofing between rooms (we could hear footsteps, moving furniture and voices) and the necessity for all room doors to be slammed to shut them - certainly didn't need an alarm clock when neighbours were leaving early in the morning - if we return, would ask for a room on top floor.

Excellent location across from nice beaches. We stayed at the end of May before the crowds and had the hotel, beaches and pools to ourselves. The manager went out of her way one night to drive us to town for dinner because they couldn't get a taxi for us.

Maria Luca was exceptionally helpful, but we found all employees very warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, we were easily upgraded to a room with a view of the sea. We are planning on coming back again for our birthday. Highly recommended staying at this lovely hotel as we now have fond memories.
