About Hotel I Melograni

hotel front view Hotel I Melograni hotel front view The brand new hotel I Melograni, conveniently located near the centre of Vieste, is made up of two adjacent buildings immersed in the huge park of Baia degli Aranci tourist complex, with secular olive trees and aromatic medicinal plants.

The sea and a long beach of golden sand are less than 150 metres away; thanks to its excellent location, the certified ISO 14001 hotel I Melograni is also the ideal starting point for tours and excursions to the old town of Vieste, the marine caves, the Tremiti islands, the Gargano National Park and various archaeological sites. Excursions to the Grotte di Castellana and renowned Trulli of Alberobello are also possible.

The restaurant offers the possibility to discover new flavours and ancient traditions. Menu for people afflicted by food allergy are available.

Further on-site amenities include a bar, a TV room, an Internet Point, two swimming pools with hydromassage, gym, private beach, bycicles, a play area for children, beach activities for adults and children or evening entertainment and shows in the amphitheatre.

A new hotel Very friendly staff. The only place (we've stayed at) in Italy which serves North-Western European breakfast (whether you see it as plus or a minus depends on you. Anyway,the many German visitors surely liked it. Vieste is fantastic to stroll around in. However, Hotel I Melograni, is situated at the wrong (rather uninviting entrance) to the town. Going downtown in the evening, joining the crowds of locals and tourists, is an absolute must.

Actually a very clean, convenient and complete property - the only problem was the sound-proofing between rooms (we could hear footsteps, moving furniture and voices) and the necessity for all room doors to be slammed to shut them - certainly didn't need an alarm clock when neighbours were leaving early in the morning - if we return, would ask for a room on top floor.

Excellent location across from nice beaches. We stayed at the end of May before the crowds and had the hotel, beaches and pools to ourselves. The manager went out of her way one night to drive us to town for dinner because they couldn't get a taxi for us.

Maria Luca was exceptionally helpful, but we found all employees very warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, we were easily upgraded to a room with a view of the sea. We are planning on coming back again for our birthday. Highly recommended staying at this lovely hotel as we now have fond memories.

How to reach Hotel I Melograni

By car
From the north take the motorway A14 (Adriatica) and exit at Poggio Imperiale. Then take the Gargano main road following the indications to Vieste.
From the south exit at Foggia or Candela following the signs to Manfredonia-Vieste.

By train
From San Severo or Foggia railway stations you can easily reach Vieste by bus.
