The initial greeting by staff was very nice. As tired travellers coming in from overseas, we were delighted to see that our rooms were ready and waiting for us. The rug in the room could be a little bit cleaner. All in all my stay was enjoyable.

The hotel is in an excellent location just a short walk from the main shopping malls and St Stephens Square. The staff were very obliging. Breakfast was adequate. We think Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the hotel was great for price and quality. Would definitely stay there again.

All great except the weird breakfast Idea - they say breakfast included, but that is not true - is is rolls included then breakfast is charged at high rate. I would rather they just wrap it in the room price (which given the value here would be easy to do) or just charge seperate. Right now it just seems sleazy marketing for an otherwise excellent place. I would definately go back there.

We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend and thought it was a great hotel. Welcoming, helpful staff. Clean, spacious rooms. Excellent position just a short walk to the airport bus stop. Very good value. We'd definitely stay there again. Just one word of caution. Friends of ours were caught out on the breakfast. Only half of what's laid out is complementary, the rest will cost you 30 euros each. We were told this, but our friends weren't.

Our experience with this hotel was excellent! The room we were given was spacious and clean (with minibar, free coffee and tee facilities, 2 televisions). Besides the cheap daily rate (85 euro/night for 2 people) included high-quality continental breakfast and free use of sauna! The location was also good: Salzgries, a side street in the 1st district, so perfect to tour around. Finally the hotel is only 5 minutes walking from Morzinplatz, where you can take bus 1273 to the airport! So no need of taxi! Only a few minor shortcomings: air condition did not work fine, we checked in around 11 but our room was not ready until 2 pm. But all in all, considering what we pay, I surely recommend this hotel.

we love this hotel: the rooms are so spacious, the location is very central, and we just had a really good time here. The only thing that was not very clear was de breakfast buffet: it looks like you can take everything that is presented there, but apparently, the left side is included(=the continental breakfast), whereas the right side is not. This was not communicated clearly. Apart from that, we enjoyed the hotel very much.

The suite has a bedroom, a living room with a small kitchen, TV and a big writing desk. The bath room is new, bright and clean. The rooms are generous and satisfying. Only the armchairs in the living room, although ok looking, were very cheap and tiresome. The beds were fine but there is no collection of different pillows, so we were sorry that we did not bring our own... The fitness room is very poor at least. There is a sauna too, but you have to warm it up by yourself each time. It looks like nobody used it at all. For wireless I had to go outside, as in the hotel it functioned mostly only in the lobby, and you have to pay for each access or reentry for the code that you get only at the reception. The internet access and the full breakfast are overpriced. But we enjoyed the stay very much, as the rooms are new and clean. And the location is superb.

We have spent only one night, the hotel is absolutely okay for such a short stay. Perfect location, just a few minutes walk from Stephansplatz. Some minor problems: the shower head didn't work in our room, continental breakfast was a bit poor (no cold meats, cheese, only sweets like muffin), and the garage (for EUR 18) is not in the hotel's building but in a parking house some minutes walk.

GREAT hotel for the price. Very, very close to many attractions in the city center. Hotel staff was SUPER helpful, friendly, and professional. Exceptional value - great hotel - will definately stay there again if in Vienna.

Great location, easy public transport (actually more convenient from Schwdenplatz than from Stephansplatz), very nice and surplisingly spacious rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Nice, spacious room for an excellent price. Breakfast limited to bread, jam, juice and coffee. Eggs, cereal, meat, cheese and fruit were roughly $20 extra per person (more economical to have a big lunch or dinner in town). Great hotel though in a very convenient location.

We chose this hotel based upon its position and for the generous room size. It is indeed excellently positioned just outside a busy area and within 15 minutes walk of the rest of the Inner Ring. The suites were as advertised, clean, spacious and with very comfortable beds. Our stay was for four nights in August and we were pleased that the AC worked well. We were on the second floor and at the front of the building and although there was some street noise it was not obtrusive. All the furnishings were in excellent condition and as soon as we requested extra pillows they were provided. The staff spoke excellent English and were always very helpful and friendly; both on the desk and in the breakfast room. As others have noted, the included continental breakfast was fine and quite sufficient and, from what we could see, the buffet breakfast was not worth the extra money. Overall we found the hotel to be just what we needed for a sightseeing trip and very well priced for what was provided in terms of facilities and position.

A really beautiful and funcional hotel, perfect address to visit the center of Vienna. Everything was great, better than you can see in the photos. The only thing that does not fit the ensemble is breakfast...fees include only continental breakfast and you have to pay for the buffet, but it is not worth 13,50 euro extra... Anyway we will certainly be back here in our next stay!
Young couple
Cyprus, Aug 2008
The only drawback was the breakfast arrangements. The continental breakfast that is included in the price is served side by side with the buffet breakfast that is charted 11 euros extra. Most of the new guests the first morning served themselves from the little buffet because they don’t see the difference. And it’s very awkward when the waiter is truing to explain the difference after they were served. One more thing, the continental breakfast consists of bread, jam, butter and of course coffee or tea. If they add some cheese and ham will make it more “continental”!

Extremely large rooms. Excellent value for the money. Only problem was that there was a large family that rented three other rooms on the floor. Their kids were running back and forth between the rooms, which made a lot of noise. If you can avoid jerks in rooms next to you, this is a great hotel.

Great hotel! We were so happy to find this hotel via Venere and it really exceeded our expectations. Everything was just perfect for our 6 night stay in Vienna. Finding a suite is something really hard to find in Europe, and a suite with a fridge and microwave is just precious! Location is superb. We walked to most places as Vienna is a very walkable city if you stay inside the ring. Hotel staff were very helpful. We had the continental breakfast included which we were happy with. Breads and beverages that came with it were quite good.

We stayed three nights in this hotel and our general opinion is excellent. Just one inconvinience - it was noisy in the streets on Friday and Saturday due to bars and restaurants located in that area. The personnel of the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. The room was great - very large and comfortable. The location is also good - just 5 minutes on foot to main attractions and 2 minutes to the bus stop to the airport. We would definitely choose this hotel when next time in Vienna.

We went to Vienna for a concert, Andre Rieu. This hotel proved excellent value for money, so convenient.. so easy to walk around the centre from the hotel.. we took our little dog, and they did not charge us. The room was extremely large, even a sitting room/bar area & fridge. There have been a lot of comments about breakfast; we had no problem. we just took the included breakfast, bread rolls/coffee & juice. they have a deal with a local underground car park, about 5 minutes walk; a bit pricy, but we discovered that as we were there at the weekind, we could park in the street of the hotel for nothing.. If I was going to Vineea again I would definately consider this hotel. My only complaint is that SOME of the staff are rather arrogant.

LARGE suites with HUGE bathroom and separate bedrom and sitting area. A little out of the mainstream area, but a close walk to U Bahn and main attractions. Stingy on soaps/bath gel. Nice free Continental breakfast. Overall a great Suite Hotel with LOTS of room compared to typical European hotel room. Definitely worth the 150 Euro price for a double on Venere.com which is a good deal!!

A great 'home away from home'. Excellent location within 15 minutes walk from Stephansdom and 5 minutes from underground station. Rooms on top floors are quiet and offer a glimpse of rooftops and/or church spire. The furniture and fixtures have a very nice contemporary feel, living area is inviting, bedroom has a separate TV, only wardrobe space could be larger. Lamps look like a piece of art. Very competent staff and a filling continental breakfast with bread and pastry. Fruit is part of another breakfast package that has to be paid extra. Parking is quite expensive but in this location we did not need a car. Central location yet on a quiet side street with restaurants and a nerby grocery store. I would go back in a heartbeat!

A neat, spacious room. A very friendly staff. Overall, an excellent service. The only complaint: it took a bit too long every morning before the hot water reached the bathroom tubes. Plus, to reach the hotel by car through a network of one-way streets turned out a challenge for the primer :-)

Very clean and welcoming hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and keen to help in any way possible. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of cold meats, breads, tea/coffee and juices. Our room was small and unfortunately positioned essentially in the lobby (i.e. the windows looked out over the lobby and downstairs breakfast area), which meant that ventilation wasn't much of an option, there was some noise from passers by and it was fairly warm as a result. We requested to move rooms, which was to be accommodated, however the hotel filled up on the New Years weekend and it wasn't possible. As it turned out, staying in that room wasn't too much of an issue for us...In terms of location, the hotel is a 20min walk to the heart of Amsterdam, or if you prefer the number 25 tram stops outside the door (can be taken from Central station with ease). Other trams stop nearby though the names of the stops can be difficult to recogise and one can end up...well...somewhere else (i.e. the suburbs of amsterdam)! Overall a pleasant stay and I would stay there again were I to visit Amsterdam.

Vienna is nice, monumentl and marvellous but aso crowded . The hotel location is in a quiet street, but at a walking distance from old downtown. Also a Metro is around the block as well as good restaurants. The hotel was surprisingly good, people at he front desk are nice and helpfull. Probably it is missing a Security Box in the room (security box in the front desk doesen't look very safe) though Vienna, I would say is the securest European capital. Breakfast included is good enough (so not needed to ask for the buffet breakfast).

This was our second stay in a Viennese Starlight Suites Hotel. Generally speaking the stay was OK. Nevertheless, there are a few points to mark: heating - an announced feature - was a complete failure: we really missed the heating with outdoor temperatures of 5 to 7 C degrees! At night, unfortunately, the windows could not be darkened completely, at least in our room. Besides, the construction site on the opposite side of the street turned out to be annoying. In spite of the ideal location and the nearness to places of interest we are not sure yet whether we will be booking this this hotel again in the next year.

Nice hotel, very clean, very nice suite with separate living room area. Two TVs in suite, nice granite countertops, separate sink/WC area. This seems to be more of a business hotel which is probably why we were able to get a good price on the weekend. The only drawback is that it is about a 10-15 minute walk into town, and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Otherwise, good value, nice experience.

But they charge me additionally for the car parking 30 Euro, in spite the garage is one of their facility. I do not agree with this.
