very welcoming staff and absolutely perfect location (3 min walk from/to airport bus terminal; 2-3 min walk to subway; 1 min to tramway; 10 min to go everywhere in Innere Stadt - downtown). huge space in our suite: bedroom + living (with refrigerator and microwave and espresso machine upon request (10 euro=10 espresso) + bathroom. two only "cons": breakfast too expensive (18 euro) and internet connection (4 euro per hour) ..... could be cheaper!!

Friendly & helpful staff, ideal location and very large rooms. Also easily accessible when using the airport shuttle bus, with it being just a short 2min stroll. Overall I rate this as an ideal accommodation choice - I would definitely consider returning and recommend to others if... Starlight must rethink their exceptionally high and exorbitant prices for the use of WiFi. On this aspect, Starlight fails to deliver. In this day & age, the charges they wish to inflict on their guests is unacceptable, especially to a public who can readily find WiFi elsewhere for free (including nearby hotels, restaurants and cafes for anyone who wants it!). Most travelers have moved on from having to pay for internet access - we are (for the most part) more knowledgeable about actual costs that a hotel would incur for providing such a service, so such daylight robbery is a blight on an otherwise excellent stay. If a small B&B can offer the service for free (or a large 5 star hotel for that matter), Starlight should make amends for their shortsightedness and no longer charge guests.

Hotel location was not that great, but the rooms are very, very spacious. Rooms, sheets, towels all very clean. The only complain on this property was the manager of the breakfast area who needs to learn to deal with the public; otherwise, the other staff members were very pleasant and cooperative.

Went for New Year and New Years Day concert. Lot's going on - excellent place to spend New Year. Hotel close to everything but quiet. Lovely room with seperate living room and modern fittings. Very comfortable. Rooms cooler if you turn air-conditioning off! Travel from airport by bus to Morzinplatz/Schwedenplatz - about a 3 minute walk from bus stop down Salzgries. Website doesn't describe rooms very well. Rooms have microwave and fridge stocked with drinks. Ask for a kettle if you want to make drinks more easily. Would stay here again when in Vienna.

This Starlight Hotel is located in an old building converted into a modern hotel, within walking distance (10 minutes) from St. Stephan Platz and from the underground station Swedenplatz. The area is not very attractive, still perfectly safe and clean. The lobby is small but includes a bar and a room for breakfast. Apartments are very nice: a sitting room with two confortable armchairs, tv set, a writing desk, frigobar, microwaves oven, minikitchen, a sleeping room with a confortable double bed, tv set and wardrobe, a nice bathroom divided in two parts (shower and WC in one, basin in the other). Everything very clean and efficient. Receptionists and other personell kind and helpfull.

Had a great 2 night stay with husband and 9 year old daughter on our brief tour of Germany and Austria. Room was a double suite which was the largest of our whole stay. A 10-15 minute walk was all that was needed to be in the centre of the city. Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold food. Would definitely recommend and stay again when we visit Vienna.

Great Hotel for a weekend in Vienna, especially because of the location next to the city center and all its major attractions. The short distance from the airport shuttle is also quiet convenient. Very friendly and polite staff! Few drawbacks were the soft bed and the high temperature in the room. For some reason the room was heating up all the time and we had to open the windows, altoguh we turned of the heating system. For young couples it might spice things up a little but parents with childen, should watch out for Channel 36 when switching through the television channels. Cheers

The hotel is very spacious and comfortable, as well as being in a very good location within only 10 minutes of the city centre. It was also very handy for the airport bus that goes to/from Swedenplatz. The stop is only a few minutes walk away and couldn't be more convenient. There is also a good selection of restaurants around the hotel and especially a perfect place for sushi lovers as there are 3 great ones to choose from. So it's an excellent hotel- even more so as I got engaged while we were staying there

All great except the weird breakfast Idea - they say breakfast included, but that is not true - is is rolls included then breakfast is charged at high rate. I would rather they just wrap it in the room price (which given the value here would be easy to do) or just charge seperate. Right now it just seems sleazy marketing for an otherwise excellent place. I would definately go back there.

We'd definitely stay there again. Just one word of caution. Friends of ours were caught out on the breakfast. Only half of what's laid out is complementary, the rest will cost you 30 euros each.

Our experience with this hotel was excellent! The room we were given was spacious and clean (with minibar, free coffee and tee facilities, 2 televisions). Besides the cheap daily rate (85 euro/night for 2 people) included high-quality continental breakfast and free use of sauna! The location was also good: Salzgries, a side street in the 1st district, so perfect to tour around. Finally the hotel is only 5 minutes walking from Morzinplatz, where you can take bus 1273 to the airport! So no need of taxi! Only a few minor shortcomings: air condition did not work fine, we checked in around 11 but our room was not ready until 2 pm. But all in all, considering what we pay, I surely recommend this hotel.

The suite has a bedroom, a living room with a small kitchen, TV and a big writing desk. The bath room is new, bright and clean. The rooms are generous and satisfying. Only the armchairs in the living room, although ok looking, were very cheap and tiresome. The beds were fine but there is no collection of different pillows, so we were sorry that we did not bring our own... The fitness room is very poor at least. There is a sauna too, but you have to warm it up by yourself each time. It looks like nobody used it at all. For wireless I had to go outside, as in the hotel it functioned mostly only in the lobby, and you have to pay for each access or reentry for the code that you get only at the reception. The internet access and the full breakfast are overpriced. But we enjoyed the stay very much, as the rooms are new and clean. And the location is superb.

We chose this hotel based upon its position and for the generous room size. It is indeed excellently positioned just outside a busy area and within 15 minutes walk of the rest of the Inner Ring. The suites were as advertised, clean, spacious and with very comfortable beds. Our stay was for four nights in August and we were pleased that the AC worked well. We were on the second floor and at the front of the building and although there was some street noise it was not obtrusive. All the furnishings were in excellent condition and as soon as we requested extra pillows they were provided. The staff spoke excellent English and were always very helpful and friendly; both on the desk and in the breakfast room. As others have noted, the included continental breakfast was fine and quite sufficient and, from what we could see, the buffet breakfast was not worth the extra money. Overall we found the hotel to be just what we needed for a sightseeing trip and very well priced for what was provided in terms of facilities and position.

A really beautiful and funcional hotel, perfect address to visit the center of Vienna. Everything was great, better than you can see in the photos. The only thing that does not fit the ensemble is breakfast...fees include only continental breakfast and you have to pay for the buffet, but it is not worth 13,50 euro extra... The only drawback was the breakfast arrangements. The continental breakfast that is included in the price is served side by side with the buffet breakfast that is charted 11 euros extra. Most of the new guests the first morning served themselves from the little buffet because they don’t see the difference. And it’s very awkward when the waiter is truing to explain the difference after they were served. One more thing, the continental breakfast consists of bread, jam, butter and of course coffee or tea. If they add some cheese and ham will make it more “continental”!

Rooms are quite spacious ( all suites).Walking distance to mane attrictions and transportation. Our mane complane that A/C in a hotel was not turn on until May 22 ( we were leaving that day). Only continental breakast was included in a price, for buffet we were asked to pay 13 euro per person and it totally not worth the money.

Our stay was excellent, we appreciated the room and the overall cleanliness. The air condition didn't work as we expected, so we left the window open. Otherwise perfect. The hotel is also very well located, near to the centre and to the "ring". Highly recommended!

Great hotel! We were so happy to find this hotel via Venere and it really exceeded our expectations. Everything was just perfect for our 6 night stay in Vienna. Finding a suite is something really hard to find in Europe, and a suite with a fridge and microwave is just precious! Location is superb. We walked to most places as Vienna is a very walkable city if you stay inside the ring. Hotel staff were very helpful. We had the continental breakfast included which we were happy with. Breads and beverages that came with it were quite good.

We stayed three nights in this hotel and our general opinion is excellent. Just one inconvinience - it was noisy in the streets on Friday and Saturday due to bars and restaurants located in that area. The personnel of the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. The room was great - very large and comfortable. The location is also good - just 5 minutes on foot to main attractions and 2 minutes to the bus stop to the airport. We would definitely choose this hotel when next time in Vienna.

The directions from the airport was a bit confusing. A more detailed map would definately help, as well as a revision of the instructions from the airport. The hotel definately met the expectations. The staff was very helpful in arranging activities for the short period we were in Vienna.

The air-conditionning was defect and made a lot of noise. There was no other way to get rid of this than to put the AC out. Consequence : the temperature in the room was much too cold. For this special reason, my stay was disapointing.

We went to Vienna for a concert, Andre Rieu. This hotel proved excellent value for money, so convenient.. so easy to walk around the centre from the hotel.. we took our little dog, and they did not charge us. The room was extremely large, even a sitting room/bar area & fridge. There have been a lot of comments about breakfast; we had no problem. we just took the included breakfast, bread rolls/coffee & juice. they have a deal with a local underground car park, about 5 minutes walk; a bit pricy, but we discovered that as we were there at the weekind, we could park in the street of the hotel for nothing.. If I was going to Vineea again I would definately consider this hotel. My only complaint is that SOME of the staff are rather arrogant.

I think this hotel is very suitable for bussines travelers. It has also a good location and I would also recomend it to the traveler on vacations who is willing to pay a medium price hotel.

LARGE suites with HUGE bathroom and separate bedrom and sitting area. A little out of the mainstream area, but a close walk to U Bahn and main attractions. Stingy on soaps/bath gel. Nice free Continental breakfast. Overall a great Suite Hotel with LOTS of room compared to typical European hotel room. Definitely worth the 150 Euro price for a double on Venere.com which is a good deal!!

convenient location, staff helpful our room was right on the top floor of the hotel - again! all the rooms we book with venere seem to be on the top floor and not the better rooms further down; althought this room was fine and comfortable and spacious enough.

A great 'home away from home'. Excellent location within 15 minutes walk from Stephansdom and 5 minutes from underground station. Rooms on top floors are quiet and offer a glimpse of rooftops and/or church spire. The furniture and fixtures have a very nice contemporary feel, living area is inviting, bedroom has a separate TV, only wardrobe space could be larger. Lamps look like a piece of art. Very competent staff and a filling continental breakfast with bread and pastry. Fruit is part of another breakfast package that has to be paid extra. Parking is quite expensive but in this location we did not need a car. Central location yet on a quiet side street with restaurants and a nerby grocery store. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Nice, central but quiet location near main attractions. The suite with a bedroom and a nice living room covered enough space for even a longer stay.

The location is great. The politeness and the willingness to help of the reception personnel is excellent. Their knowledge of Vienna is very good. Compared to other hotels in Vienna the reception personnel were super. The room is very spacious.

A neat, spacious room. A very friendly staff. Overall, an excellent service. The only complaint: it took a bit too long every morning before the hot water reached the bathroom tubes. Plus, to reach the hotel by car through a network of one-way streets turned out a challenge for the primer :-)

Very clean and welcoming hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and keen to help in any way possible. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of cold meats, breads, tea/coffee and juices. Our room was small and unfortunately positioned essentially in the lobby (i.e. the windows looked out over the lobby and downstairs breakfast area), which meant that ventilation wasn't much of an option, there was some noise from passers by and it was fairly warm as a result. We requested to move rooms, which was to be accommodated, however the hotel filled up on the New Years weekend and it wasn't possible. As it turned out, staying in that room wasn't too much of an issue for us...In terms of location, the hotel is a 20min walk to the heart of Amsterdam, or if you prefer the number 25 tram stops outside the door (can be taken from Central station with ease). Other trams stop nearby though the names of the stops can be difficult to recogise and one can end up...well...somewhere else (i.e. the suburbs of amsterdam)! Overall a pleasant stay and I would stay there again were I to visit Amsterdam.

The suite they gave us was definitely quiet, huge and really comfortable! The location is perfect, only a 5 min walk to downtown. Is also sorrounded by all the main public transportations. Maybe the breakfast was a bit scarce compared to the rest of the facilities offered. I strongly recommend this hotel!
