We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we go to Vienna. However, there were no instructions on how to get to the hotel using public transport. This made it quite difficult for a family of 7.

Good separation between the hotel and hostel sections. Breakfast only fair but fair-priced. 1/2 block to metro. Front desk on the ball.

The hotel/motel is for backpackers not family friendly no fridge no glass for water young kids on fire escape smoking and party time . Not family friendly , no fan when temps were late 20C one could not enter the room late afternoon because it faced west . yes it would have been nice to be able to have a cold beer during the Olympic games in my room . Staff were great room very big , i will make further comments on a blog .

Very spacious and friendly hostel. Only complaint was that you have to use wifi in the lobby (no access in own room). If you don't mind the noisy teens who also stay, this place was great to stay in for those on a budget.

Need a place in garage for your car? It's better to book in advance. In this case you'll get the garage entry on your room card and don't need to park 3 block's away if you come back after 22h :-(

The hotel is very close to the metro, which makes it easy to access the city. They need just need to give better instructions of how to find it.

It's awful, please forgive the presentation. The lobby is very small and always fulls of cigarette (cause it is so close to the entrance). I couldnot sleep very well because the beds are too close. I faced two days with a horrible grunt. I did not meet any smiling faces of stuff in my 4-day staying.

Very good value for money. Not really in the centre, but near the excellent Ubahn, so it's quick to go there. Very nice breakfast, not expensive. Columbus Platz nearby has a hotel with a good restaurant, where we ate well for a reasonable price.

Nice hotel, good quality/price but I still don't understand why they use to join two single beds! How do they pretend you can sleep with your girl if you have the wood frame just in the middle of your joined double bed??

Very good accomodation,as we stayed overnight. Beds very good, everything clean.Three things that could be improved: 1.Parking in the hotel's private space is way too expensive for one night(12 euro) and inflexible. 2.Smoking in the reception area should not be allowed. 3.The doors of the coridors close automaticaly with too much force, almost smashing,so creates disconfort for the inhabitants in the area. But I'd be back if necesary, the Favoritenstrasse is very interesting for women, with lot of shops and the U-bahn is very close giving you quick acces to the whole city.

Breakfast paid separately and not really worth it. Impeccable rooms. No double bed - two twin beds put together. Common areas were very noisy.

Very unpleasant stay at Meininger hotel, Wien. We booked 2 PRIVATE rooms with 3 beds through Venere.com - Although there were 6 of us, we found only 2 sets of towels in the room. So I had to rush to reception 3 times to find out that you have to pay A DEPOSIT FOR TOWELS wich is 5 EUROS PER PIECE, and when you use it, you go with your little stamped card and have them replaced for new one, at the reception. - The staff is pretty uninformed and not helpful. - We were visiting Vienna in January. The radiators were lukewarm. Somebody at the reception told us to wait for them to heat up. We waited for whole night. - 3rd bed in the room is a sort of a couch, very near to the outside wall (pretty cold). - I paid for the internet connection in my room which was not working. There was no internet connection in the lobby also. At the end i got my money back. - When we asked if we could extend our parking for few hours. We were told that it was all booked... "ah, but there is one place", only to find the whole parking almost empty when we left the hotel. - "Rich breakfast" for 4.5 euros, you can hardly call rich. For that amount of money, at Cantina in Museum Quartier you can stuff yourself with good food. (Also, at this hotel/hostel you are supposed to BOOK breakfast - because it's sooo good people rush, so you need to book your seat. :) - Although we were supposed to pay at the end of our stay, it was asked of us to pay in front. - Also, you'll get a card for everything. Card for towels, card for parking, stamped card for breakfast, and card for room, and the key card. It's a very practical way for running a hotel. - I wouldn't recommend this hotel/hostel to anybody.

I am travelling with my family. I booked 1 triple room and 1 single room. In fact, I get both quadriple room, which means more spacious room. The location is very near to the U-bahn station (2 min walk)!! The best thing about this hotel is the staff are very helpful and offer you very good stay there!!

The staff was GREAT-friendly, quick, helpful, patient, forthcoming. HR has done a great job picking those young people for reception. GREAT LOCATION!! max 15 min by metro/subway to all places of importance in Vienna. NB! Venere's e-reservation said that the use of towels is included in the price. Theoretically, that's correct. But in fact, towels are available against a deposit (payable in cash to the reception) and towels are not readily provided in the rooms. Suggestion to venere: include this info about towels in your e-reservation, please! But overall--great place to stay! I recommend!

The difference I found between a hotel and a hostel is if you ask the hotel to access the room for earlier check in they will usually accomodate you but not this hostel. After traveling overseas from the US and being up for 24 hours, they would not let me check in earlier. They could've asked for me to pay an extra day to get an early checkin instead of waiting til 3pm. Otherwise, the breakfast was good and people were friendly.

Nice place, very good location, there were problems with reservation ( no single room for whole period) but finally solved, keys stoped working after one day, breakfast room to small. I have filling that the hotel have not enough staff to service so much clients.

We had a double room with bathroom attached. The room is superb, very spacious with writing table and sofa and most of all it's spotless (clean). The breakfast is excellent with variety types of bread, spread, cold cuts and cheese, many types of cereals and hot drinks and juices and fruits cocktail. The interior is beautiful, bright and airy. If you like Ikea's design, here you are. The staff are very helpful too. It's conveniently located at about 1 min walk from Metro Subway with a short shopping street at the back of the hotel. We would say that this is one of best hotel we have stayed especially with this price. It's a haven to budget travellers.
