Kaffeemuhle Hotel worked very well for us. A small family-type hotel, nice breakfast room. it is somewhat away from the centre of town, but there are restaurants nearby, and it is only 10 minutes walk from the Westbahnhof,a metro (underground) station, and a tram stop. The metro (U) has an excellent, cheap, service, with which you can access the entire city.

Convenient location, just outside the city centre that can be easily reached on foot and close to the bus to the airport. The room was very clean and the breakfast was abundant and included in the price.

Friendly service, nice rooms, free internet access available. We didn't try air conditioning, but it was looking a little strange and old.

It was a lovely place to stay. The room was nice and spacious, and bathroom very smart. The breakfast was hearty and not too early! We stayed in Vienna for 3 nights, and found the hotel to be in an excellent location; not too far from the centre and very close to the Westbahnhof train station.

Excellent Hotel, a bit far from the Center of the City but walkable. Very safe area (as all of Vienna). Walked back to the Hotel past midnight and people were alone walking too. Not far from the Main train station and other Tram/subway stops. Room was large and very comfortable. Staff was very helpful giving directions. Breakfast was good with assorted pates, jams, cereals, etc.

Buon rapporto qualità prezzo, tenete conto che è molto economico, il nostro bagno essenziale ma pulito, buona colazione, ottmimi i trasporti pubblici ed anche a piedi si raggiunge facilmente il centro in 15 min.

Great location 5 minutes from the city center. Very quiet district. Great breakfast. Very nice employees. Great asian restaurant near the hotel (-Vegetasia)

Pension-type accommodation about 5 minutes' walk from Westbahnhof railway station - very easy to get to, especially if arriving by bus from airport. Staff speak English, and are helpful. Breakfast is pretty generous. First floor room obviously close to street level and therefore a little noisy, but that's inevitable. Overall, hotel is good value, and I would use again. Thanks.

It was as said but the hostel building was really old (they are remodelling at the moment) The room was ok, but too hot (the heating was too much) and very noisy.

Floor plan of apartment was very tight (very narrow corridor-like kitchen). The street is noisy (to have a window open) Continental-line breakfast, only

This hotel is at a very good location: just two stops from the Westbahnhof and a few stops from the Burg! And there's a very good Greek restaurant nearby :)

The staff was consistanly kind and helpful. The room was clean but of such a poor quality that it was uncomfortable. We were only allowed one key for the four of us. What made that really bad was the door could either be locked on both sides or unlocked on both side. If someone wanted to leave and take the key to come in late at night without waking anyone else, they would have to lock the others in the room. What is that???

I was very satisfied to stay at Kafeemuhle. It is near to U-Bahn and tram as well also possible to walk to many interesting places. Good service and not far to go to supermarked. I should have wanted a waterboiler on the room.

The problem is about the price which appears on the site and the price that they ask us there. On the site the parking was 10 euro and on the hotel they said the parking is 15 euro. This is not fair and we were dissapointed abou this aspect. Is not possible to change the prices after we made the reservation on one price.

The hallways are very dark. I fell down a complete flight of stairs. You would think they might offer me a free room for the night, but they did not. Also, the neighborhood is a bit run down as is the hotel. The hotel needs a face lift desperately. Would not stay here again.

The price on the web page was 30 euros per night per person but we had to pay 33. We told them that we had agreed differently, but they did not accepted that fact. We sent them an e-mail with the reservation attached but they did not even reply. The inconsistence and their lack of interest to cooperate is remarkable. Do not stay there.

For this price this is not a bad hotel, however our rooms were a bit dissapointing. It was too simple, one of them smelly and the other had a part for storing staff for the hotel, however for this price in Europe nobody should expect more.

Friendly helpful staff. Distance to old center is to far to walk (although we did), but there is adaquate public transportation. For shoppers there is a great long shopping street close by. Breakfast is okay, but very simple. Many problems with the elevator. Had to walk the stairs (5th floor) several times. Overall we are satisfied with our stay.

My wife and I had a reservation that we made through Venere.com. When we arrived at the hotel we were shocked. We have been traveling all over eastern Europe with hotels that we booked through Venere.com and they were great and exactly as what we expected. The Kaffeemule was a discusting hotel. The room that we were given was nasty and dirty. There was mold in the bathroom and on the back of the door. The wall paper was falling off and there were many outlets with the covers off. The Air Coditioner was a joke. When you turned on the a/c it blew hot air out the back and made the room hotter. We told the manager that we were not going to stay there any longer and he said that we had to pay for 2 nights. I told him that I would not, but he said my contract said that i had to pay for 2 nights. I had no option but to do this as they had my car locked up in their garage and I could not get out. I felt like I was being held hostage. This hotel was givin a 3 star rating, if it was a 1 star I would be amazed. This is the worst experience that we have ever had on any of our travels, and we have traveled all over the world from Australia to Russia. WE WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT EITHER.

The employes aren't kind, they don't give you any information neighter for the city even for the hotel. They has been cursed and I couldn't use the possibility of cancel my prenotation if I had a problem because they locked money from my credit card without asking or telling me. I surely won't advice it!

Highly recommended. Great value. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff are very friendly. Breakfast is basic but it is more than ok to set you up for the day. To get there from the airport take the bus outside the airport to the Westbanhof - 6 euro per person. You can buy tickets on the bus or at the tourist info stand near the baggage reclaim and they will also give you a good city map. From the Westbanhoff cross the road to the underground station and take the U6 towards Florisdorf and get off at the first stop. As you leave the station you should see hotdog stands on your right. Cross the road, take the left turn at the crossroads, and then the next right at the next crossroads. The Hotel is about 100 metres on the right! To get into the city centre you just take the U6 for one stop to Westbanhoff and then the U3 as far as Stephensplatz. This brings you to the Cathedral - make sure to go in and take the lift to the top (4 euro) the view is magnificent! Enjoy your holiday!

We had rented two rooms. There was street construction that continued until 1:30 am. The street tram also ran right past the Hotel and was very noisy. We had made a 3 night reservation and told the night man that we were not staying because of the noise. He refused to accept our cancellation. We ended up leaving after 1 night but paid for two. The staff were quite unreasonable in understanding our dissatisfaction. We felt like we were treated like prisoners. Our one night ended up costing 308 Euros.

The Kaffeemuhle was located a short walking distance to the subways and trains. There was an internet cafe closeby as also was a laundromat. The room was spacious, the restaurant next door was fabulous. We were in Vienna 3 nights and would return to this hotel based on location, price, and the breakfast was also adequate. There is an elevator for those who need one. Thanks.

If you get room #9, be aware that the shower/toilet is down the hall instead of in your room. We were told a lot of things upon arrival. However, we weren't told about the shower and discovered it on our own.

We stayed at this establishment earlier in the month and found the accomodation provided excellent for our needs (3 adults sharing). This time we stayed only overnight and were provided with possibly the worst room in the the place. Fortunately we did not need to unpack as there was no room. Most of the light bulbs did not work and the room was incerdibly hot. We had no opportunity to self regulate the heat. The establishment was most apologetic as they were booked out for the weekend. I just dont believe they should have accepted a booking for a triple room if none were available.

Hotel is older and the room showed some wear, but it was very clean, comfortable, spacious, and fully-functional. Location was great - a 5 minute walk from the West train station and tram stops. Next door was a fantastic vegetarian restaurant which even my meat-eating spouse enjoyed. Staff was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. Breakfast was adaquate (bread with various spreads, OJ, and coffee) and was served by a very attentive staff. We would stay here again.

This is only a pensione or B&B really - a 2-star property. But it is very clean and quiet and well located for the price. Plenty of trams available with the metro only a 8-10 minute walk away on a popular shopping street. There is also a decent organic supermarket in the next block as you turn left out of the hotel.

The hotel was exactly as described. It was clean and quiet. Although not a “luxury” hotel, it was well worth what we paid. The employees were knowledgeable about the area and transportation. This was particularly helpful as we know almost no German (only English). I look forward to going back.

Gute Anbindungen.Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten schnell erreichbar. To whom it concerns, Our first impression was enough good, upon arrival, until the day after breakfest!!! Too much NOISE and talk of the personnel during the serving!! We recommend them to close the kitchen DOOR,while the guest need confort to EAT!!! It is sad that the personnel is lacking of respect toward the guests by NOT greeting them, once they are sitted & waiting for the breakfest!! In Germany,as we know, the manners are ESSENTIALS !!!We want to suggest to You to train your personnel accordingly, since we are also European by origin. They talk between them TOO LOUD while they wash dishes...A last suggestion!!! You need to INSTALL some automatic water or soft drink mashine in the lobby, especially for the night!! In Canada , even the motels have at least ONE of such mashines! These were our comments & hoping that they 'll HELP to improove your Hotel functionning,in 2005! This is OUR WISH to you!
