Hotel Zipser - Vienna

When I arrived I saw that my Visa was used to pay the bill and that's not the intention because I want to pay cash. By the way the private garage has room for 3 cars, so you have to park outside or in a public garage from a distance of 400 meters from the hotel

Great location, accommodation and service!!!!!

Ideal for people who wants to see Vienna, very close to the townhall, the parlament and otheres places of interest. The staff at the hotel are very nice and competent.

I stayed in Vienna 7 days: wonderful city, a little expensive, very easy for living! The hotel is noisy (but there were men at work just below our windows) and the breakfast is very poor. but it's okay anyway!

The Hotel is located in the downtown area, approx. 600 m from Rathaus metro station by foot. I stayed 2 nights in the Hotel. Although I reserved a single room, I was offered a double one. It was certainly spacious enough for one person, but it would fit modestly for a couple too. It was a non-smoking room, as I have requested. Nice, clean, modest, quiet, pleasant room looking to the backyard. The bathroom was nice with modern equipments, the shower-cabin was spacious enough. The Hotel offered a pleasant stay, I highly recommend it.

The breakfast is really good

This is an excelent hotel. Although hotel rooms are very small (but cosy). In a quiet part of Vienna, close to subway. Way to the city centre takes about 15 min.

You get what you pay for. Very clean, reasonably equipped, with competent and friendly staff, but overal rather basic. Single room is quite small. The location always challenges you with a question if you want to walk to the centre or make 2 - 3 stops by tram. The area is 'normal', with quite a few nice pubs nearby. Walking is 5 min before you rich the Parlament or Citi Hall, further 10 minutes to Hofburg and about 20 min overall of very pleasant walk to the St. Stefan. The hotel is not really convinient by public transport neither from the airport nor from the railway station, especially if you do not travel light. Not fancy but works. You will not 'enjoy' it in terms of 'once in a lifetime hotel experience', but also will not be frustrated. Fits you if you travel for a few nights and on budget.

First time at Zipser. Great location less than 5 minutes walk to the Ringstrasse and 2 minutes walk to Rathaus.Breakfast included was good. Only downer was poor internet.

Excellent hotel, good breakfasts, well situated not far from the Metro, the Museum Quarter and the Opera House.

Nice neighbourhood only 20 min nice walk from Kärtnerstrasse and the opera. Lots of beautiful building and sites on the way. Great breakfast in spacious breakfast room. The hotel room was a bit cramped and boring, but clean and quiet. Friendly and English-speaking reception staff.

Breakfast was very good. We were lucky to reserve a parking spot; they only have 4 spaces and there are very very tight (tiny parking spaces) but very secure.

Very clean. Rooms are small, we were there in Sept., how they'd be unairconditioned in the summer? Excellent breakfast, all the European stuff plus scrambled eggs and bacon. 2 blocks from the subway (Rathhaus) and/or bus transportation. Excellent restaurants (Austrian/Italian) within 2 blocks walking.

Hôtel très bien situé, centre ville facilement accessible à pied. Nombreux restaurants à proximité. Un vrai buffet pour le petit déjeûner, varié, copieux et bien présenté, un régal. La chambre double était très spacieuse et bien équipée, cependant sans air conditionné (or, il peut faire chaud en juillet) et sans minibar mais ce n'est pas non plus promis. A recommander sans hésitation.

Quiet, Josefstadt pleasant neighborhood, excellent to have FREE wireless internet access in room.

Staff and hotel were excellent. Construction in the courtyard (July 2006) started each morning at 7am; this was our only problem. The breakfast buffet was terrific. The hotel's location is great - close to the Rathaus, which features nightly taped concerts on a giant screen with a fun singles atmosphere (lots of food and drink options). The Josefstadt neighborhood in which the hotel is located is fun to explore with many nice restaurants.

Pros: - Excellent Location for tourism and eating out - Well maintained room - Superb Breakfast - Friendly but a bit shy staff - Reasonably priced Cons: - Lack of fans or air conditioning in a hot weather. - Very small single room especially compared with double room. - Noisy Neighbours although that may only have been incidental to my stay

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Zimmer zur Straße sind aber laut. Außerdem gab es in den Zimmern keine Klimaanlage, bei großer Hitze unangenehm. Der Service war sehr gut, sehr freundliches Personal. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut. Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen.

L'hotel è situato in una zona tranquilla ma a soli 5 minuti a piedi dal Rathaus, dove si possono prendere sia la metro sia i tram che sono frequenti e veloci, insomma i trasporti sono davvero efficienti! Inoltre si è vicini al quartiere dei musei che è abb.vivo anche di sera. Le camere sono pulite. Ce ne sono diversi tipi, quindi prenotando in anticipo si possono avere forse le camere coi bagni + grandi. A noi è capitata una camera col bagno piccolo ma in fondo andava bene, visto che era pulito! La colazione è grandiosa e il personale gentile anche nel consigliare come muoversi a Vienna.

Friendly staff, clean and nice rooms; in particular we had a double room facing the inner garden that was very quiet. The hotel is situated near an underground station (RatHaus, U2 line at about 250 m) and anyway the Innere Stadt is within walking distance from the Hotel. Close to the hotel, inside Josefstadt district, there are some good restaurants and bars.
