Very convenient location. Close to tram,bus,subway. Bad experience with the taxi driver who charged 28.50 euro from train station to hotel while when we found return trip to train station was only 7.50 euro. Should have asked the receipt from the driver or asked the hotel front desk about the taxi fares. Hotel has very ordinary breakfast only. No restaurant for dinner or lunch facility. Bar prices are very nominal. Old hotel needs renovation. Bath tubs do not drain well and leaky shower heads.

The price I've booked (70 Euro/night - double room including breakfast) was a great deal for a 4 stars hotel. The location is good, quite near the center (and 100m from the Municipal Hospital of Vienna, where I had work to do). The reality is that rooms are at a quality of a 3 stars hotel (kind of oldish furniture, cheap, old TV, bathroom without bath tube, only shower).

very nice staff. Easy to catch the public transport. The receptionist said my Internet bill was too high, This was because they charge so much. very expensive. All round a nice hotel and friendly staff.

It was the first time for me to be in Vienna, and I enjoyed a lot, thanks to the wonderful help of the staff members of the hotel. They were very sensitive, and I felt like in familiy. I recommend it highly.

Hi, I picked out the hotel from Wotif website and was not disappointed. Value for money was I think reasonable. Desk staff were excellent - housekeeping could not be faulted. I did not have a good map - that woyld have been useful. Perhaps instructions on which trains to catch could have been supplied. I was in Vienna only 2 nights at IAEA and suggested that the hotel be added to their recommended list.

How to reach Hotel Thüringer Hof
By car
From the Westautobahn motorway:
Once you reach Schönbrunn Palace, turn left and after the 2nd traffic lights turn right into Mariahilferstraße and continue until you reach the Westbahnhof train station. Turn left into the Gürtel ring road and continue straight until you see a big church on your right. After passing the church turn left at the 3rd traffic lights. You are now in Jörgerstraße, where the hotel is located on your right.
From the Südautobahn motorway:
Once you reach the sign for Zentrum/Gürtel, leave the motorway and you will be in Triesterstraße. Drive along this road, keeping in the right lane until you see the sign for Prag (Prague). Then follow the Prag signs on the Gürtel ring road. Keep going straight until you reach Europaplatz and Westbahnhof train station. Continue straight until you see a big church on your right. After passing the church turn left at the 3rd traffic lights. You are now in Jörgerstraße, where the hotel is located on your right.
