Everything was very fine. Just a little recommendation for the breakfast: the orange juice is really awefull. Please try a better brand.

Although Wien is a quiet and clean city, if you go to Sophienalpe, which is surrounded by trees, you will find the real peacefulness. I recommend this hotel for the one who like the nature and for the people who travel by car. I think when I come to Wien again I choose Sophienalpe again.

Need to get the address correct online. The address online states Sofienalpenstraße 13, but the actual address is 14. And the distance between 13 and 14 is about 4kms!

The only problem is that we need a car to join the "Tram" stop. (5/6 km)

The only problem is: to get quick access from Vienna you should have your own transport.

The hotel was realy ok. Personel was friendly, food was great. Room standard was acceptable but nothing special. Bathtube was poor quality. Surroundings are amazing. In my opinion 70 euros for double room in this standard was little to much (should be max 55).

The property is situated at very nice location, surrounded by hills and forest area. For any nature lover, it will be good place which I can suggest to during Viennq tour. If you have your own car/vehicle, the stay will be excellent in this hotel.

It need to take the yellow postbus to this hotel, and the driver will tell you the station you will get off. It is about 5km from Neuwadlegg to the hote. The hotel is suurounded by beautiful forest. I have stayed for 9 days in Vienna!

This was once a great hotel. Large, with large rooms, big dinning area, and big outdoor garden for eating. But it is now worn out. Rust, broken bathroom fixtures, smelling of old smoke, and grease, made this stay unpleasant. My review is not a good one, mainly because the price was too high for the reasons mentioned. Also we were reling on laundry and they said no, they do not have it. Well yes they do, but it was very dirty, they did not want there guests to see, I belive. I love Venere, and am looking forward to booking with you in the future. Please look into this futher if posiable. I could not recomend Sophienalpe. Cheers Annette Weeks

I was in Vienna for holidays, the hotel surrondings are wonderful, there are many routes within the forest and is a place quite and peaceful, is the perfect place to take a rest before the weekend in the city.

Big complex destinated just for groups. The old house is quiet pretty but needs immediately a total refurbishment. It was supossed to be the best place in our whole trip (the only 3 star hotel), it was almost the worst. I'd give maximum 1 star. Quality and the choice of food in the breakfast - tragical! The best aspect - very beautiful and quiet surroundings (just nature - forests, fields, paths just for walkers).

Be prepared for a long drive up a steep, winding mountain road to reach this hotel; not exactly conveniently located for Vienna sightseeing! The plumbing was old and the shower attachment on our bathtub didn't work. But the staff was very good about leaving us a breakfast the night before when we had to check out at 5 am. The hotel restaurant (where you will want to eat unless you are prepared for the very long trip down to Vienna) is excellent with a specialty of wild game.

I asked for a family room (four beds). The matrimonial bed was done with a sofa bed, extremely uncomfortable. The quality/price ratio was very poor, compared to the other hotels I tried in my trip around Europe (Lyon, Paris, Prahe, Wien). The building and surrounding are very nice, but the maintenance level, in my opinion, is not adequate.

The hotel is very nice, and employees are friendly. Breakfast was fabulous. Price/quality is great. But you have to realize that the hotel is literally is in the forest, high in the mountains - 10 min. car ride to the closest tram station. There is nothing but mountain bike and hiking trails around (even though, it's beautiful). Very hard to find - directions on their web cite make you think it's easy - don't be fooled. They definetely need better directions and a map.

The property is really hard to find - even with a map. But when you finally find it you will be astounded by the surroundings! If I have the chance I would go there again - preferably in the summer.

The rooms were fairly basic but clean and more than adequate. Staff were welcoming. Breakfasts not a great selection but sufficient to get you by. The property is set in a beautiful and peaceful location in the Vienna Woods. If travelling into Vienna it is 10-15 kms to tram station (free parking nearby) then a 20 min tram ride. I would stay here again and would recommend.

The approach to the hotel is not very convenient at all hours by public transport. The hotel is nice, staff is good, but the rate for rooms is a bit higher than it should be.

The hotel was located a good distance from Vienna and I don;t think it should have been advertised as being in Vienna. It was difficult to get to the hotel by public transportation. I would recommend it only to someone with a car.
