Hotel Schild - Vienna

You really have to ask questions before booking, such as do you have air conditioning that can be used now... because they have a seasonal situation for the building... Also when are the actual times of the sauna, as sometimes you have to ask them to cut it on... This type of hotel is family owned, small but comfortable...it caters to persons basically with no children as space is limited in the rooms... two people at the most can stay in the double rooms. I think 2 days max... is all that can be enjoyed from the Hotel establishement... It should be rated 3 star..but is very clean, and comfortable... but def. not 4 star.. And a big down side, is there is absolutley no unpaid parking that can be relied on... you have to pay either €6 for outside parking(small parking space across the small street), or in the garage which is even smaller for €10. If you are not partial to scratches... you might consider parking further away... and taking the scenic route down to the hotel... you might get lucky and get curb parking close.. but doubtful... I would still recommend this hotel to everyone. They have security cameras at the entrance,Dvd player in the room, big bathroom, well lit and you can also have one with both shower and bath.. Sat T.V. and a firm bed... also have a couch and table in the room a really atmosphere. I would stay here again... but I think it is best to ask for a room opposite of the street...

We really enjoyed every minute at this small but lovely hotel. The rooms were very nice and the staff was terrific. They were helpful in everything we did. It was so much more personal than a large hotel chain. I would be happy to stay there again and I certainly would recommend it to others.
