We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Savoy very much. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was nice and the breakfast was excellent. All the sights are in walking distance. Since the parking garage was on the ground floor of the hotel, it was very convenient. I would definately stay at this hotel again if I have another chance to visit Vienna.

Very central location between Museumsquartier and Mariahilferstrasse with good shopping-opportunities. Quiet street and close to U-Bahn. Small and cosy hotel - we loved it.

A pity that the rooms have no conditioning air. Some days in summer in Vienna can be very hot, as those we have passed this year. Please, conditioning air in the rooms !

We will stay here again. Not all the desk staff was experienced but the problem was minor and easily resolved. Great location; a bit difficult to find the first time but again that was easily and quickly resolved.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel location was right in the middle of shopping areas, restauarants, tourist attractions and transportation. Size of breakfast room could be larger. All in all, a great hotel with an excellent room rate. We'll be back!

The rooms were spacious even for North American standards and the decor and charm of the whole place was so Vienna... Only issues were that there were stairs to get to the entrance and no one to help us with our lugguge and also the breakfast selection was not great...

We really liked Savoy Hotel. The staff were excellent & I should mention that the waiting staff at breakfast really were on top of things at all times & very pleasant. The rate for surroundings was only because of construction work opposite the hotel. Great location.

I read reviews of the hotel and went with it. True to form (and with some honest notices from the hotel) the construction work opposite was a bit noisy. The fan offered some air circulation when the window was closed though. Location is pretty good (15mins walk to the Museum Quarter) and 5 mins to the nearest U-Bahn. Remembering that Vienna is a European capital city, it's not a bad option for the price (Euro 145), but I might be tempted to go a little further out of the city next time for something a bit cheaper now I know how easy public transport is!

The staff at the Savoy were very helpful with dinner suggestions, transport info. & arrangements to train station. I had lost a pair of sunglasses at the Schonbrunn, but was leaving the next day so I couldn't give their lost & found a call the next day. The receptionist took all the info and said she would follow up & mail them to me if they were found. Our room faced the inner courtyard so it was dead silent and the complimentary breakfast was very good as well.

Excellent place to stay. Near subway and city center. Great service and facilities. The only problem is that one has to carry bags upstairs from the ground level to the lobby. Later on there's an elevator. Besides this small thing - I give this place thumbs-up!

This was a wonderful little hotel. The rooms are ample and beautifully furnished with lovely French Provincial furniture. The bath included many amenities. Wi-Fi was free in the room. The breakfast was very nice and filling. The area around the hotel is undergoing construction, but the noise was not an issue since our room faced the inner courtyard. The hotel is conveniently located and an excellent value.

This hotel turned out much better than expected. Small rooms but that's to be expected - and it was really adequate for our needs. Very clean - which was our top priority as far as requirement goes. The excellent breakfast was a real added bonus. There was construction going on across the street and it was kind of noisy when our windows were open. We solved the problem by closing our windows when the working crew started their day - which was about the time we woke up anyway.

We stayed just one night in April. So much to see with so little time. We will definitely go back to Vienna and the Hotel Garni. We loved it. The public areas were small but our room was spacious and charming. The hotel is is just a short walk away from an excellent transport system. A travel pass can be purchased at any station The machines are easy to use. They are inexpensive and very convenient

The hotel was easy to find, being fairly close to the underground - making it easy to get to from pretty much anywhere. Being close to the underground also makes it easy to get the major tourist attractions. Alternative is to take a 15-20min gentle stroll thru the museum platz into the heart of Vienna. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly during check in and for all other enquiries. They were informed that it was our honeymoon - and as such, made the visit special by decorating the room with rose petals and providing a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and fruit. Made us feel really special. Just note that as of Feb 2008 there was construction occurring directly across the street from the hotel, hence front facing rooms could be noisy during the day. We got a side facing room that was very quiet - albeit without any real view. Will use the same hotel if we were to visit Vienna again.

The breakfast proposed for guests was relatively modest and the breakfast room is definitely small - we were sitting all squashed together... The free wireless Internet access is perfect service. Location is very suitable for tourists and Vienna's visitors. It was my second visit to this hotel, I'like it.

We had a very nice stay in Hotel Savoy. The hotel is located in the centre of Vienna, walking distance from the main attractions and close to an area with lovely restaurants and bars (as suggested by the staff). Good breakfast in the morning, helpful staff and reasonably priced. Would definitely return!

This was the first time for my wife and I to visit Viena and to stay in Hotel Savoy Garni. Needless to say, it will not be our last for either. We stayed in an upgraded double room which was excellent. It was very spacious with separate bathroom, toilet and dressing room, however, the restraunt is quite small and, if you come after the early rush, the food is not always replaced. The staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very convenient for all aspects of Vienna that a visitor would like. I would recommend it to all my friends.

The majority of the people we met at the hotel were mature, kind and German speakers. The location of the hotel is quite close to the subway and near the center. Although the street is very calm and there is a supermarket very near from it.

The room was nice and large, but across from the hotel they were building a huge complex, so we could not sleep after 6am without closing the windows, the rrom then got very hot, from the reception we revceived ear plugs. It is a big problem for the hotel. We stayed only three nights.

This lovely hotel was inspiring from the moment that we walked up the red carpeted stairs to the lobby. The staff was so cordial and helpful. The rooms were absolutely charming with a feeling of old world in each room that we entered. The breakfast was a feast and a great start to the day. The hotel was within easy access to public transportation which made the whole stay quite convenient.

Tiny breakfast room was the only minor negative side. Rooms were decorated in a classical but modest style. The most important advantage was its location.

The hotel faces a major (and very noisy) construction site that will last for at least one year. The first night we were placed in a room facing the site and were woken up at 6AM. We complained and were moved to a room in the back: no view but very quiet. Also, the parking is very expensive (€15/day) compared to the cost of the rooms. Otherwise, rooms are clean (albeit small), service excellent, staff very kind and competent, and location very convenient. Just stay away from any room facing the street until construction is completed.

Somewhat pricy, but the hotel is on a quite street in Neubagasse. It's a 5-min walk from the Neubagasse metro station, and very close to all the sightseeting area: Museum Quarters, Graben, and Hofburg. The only slight inconvenience was that there were no elevators from the ground floor to the reception area, and we had huge luggage. But once you're inside the hotel, they have a very small elevator.

The lady receptionist who welcome us on arrival was very helpful and provided all the information we wanted very patiently. The receptionists' proficiency in English was a tremendous help as we speak not a word of the local language. We started each day after seeking advise or affirmation from the receptionists. Great help. The location was very central to alot of places of interest and we managed to visit these places of interest on foot.
