I highly recommend this hotel for overall value. The prices are low, and the location is very convenient. The biggest drawback is the very small, cramped rooms. But if you only need a place to crash and want to be close to the city center and public transportation, it's fine. You can hear the traffic outside but it didn't bother me. No air conditioning, but the fan and an open window were adequate when I was there. The staff responded to a reported problem with the TV the next day. The real highlight of this hotel is the breakfast - they offer lots of tasty and healthy choices, like excellent plain yogurt, fresh fruit, Muesli, and whole-grain breads, not to mention very good coffee with either cold or warm milk, in a bright and sunny room - much better than the plain bread/jam/coffee breakfast I had elsewhere in Austria. If still on a budget, I would definitely return here on a future trip.

Hotel was located in a quieter area but had restaurants, pubs, shops and transportation very close by. Breakfast was good, if a little spare. Staff were friendly and helpful but some seemed to have some trouble with English, or chose to respond in German. The room was a little crowded by all the furniture in it, but overall was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the internet signal was clear and only occasionally slow in the room.

The hotel is on a big street, located in a residential building. There are two types of rooms - old and renewed ones. Our rooms was quite far away from the restaurant itself but very new, spacious and with wonderful bathroom. Very quiet and cosy. The staff were ok, some problem with english. The metro is very close. Would recommend it!!!

Very good value for money. The only problem was that we had no hot water late in the evening/next morning. Quite close to the center. Wd recommend Hundertwaser Kunstmuseum and a walk by the banks of Danube Canal especially during weekend-there You wd feel a relaxed way of Viennese life.

First impression last! The hotel knew that we would arrive early but the receptionist acted as we were disturbing her too early in the morning. No welcome, no smile, just a short "you can't check in until 2 o'clock", no offer about breakfast but we had to ask. She had the same attitude the whole time, acting as we were supposed to give her service instead of the opposite! Fortunately, she was the only one, the rest of the staff was very friendly and nice. Overall, a nice hotel to a reasonable price.

Hotel well located relating to the City. Clean an right dimensioned room, but offering low confort due to a big noise coming from the road also during all the night (No other rooms awaillable for changing). Breakfast level lower than usual 3 stars level.

First time in Vienna, and the stay was 3 nights. The hotel was beautiful, and a good choice. Clean and nice rooms, nice breakfast. BUT problems with the heating at the rooms/almost no heating, is very bad service I believe. I left home with a flue...(please inform the property)

The room was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was newly renovated. Staff were knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. The only issue was that the room was extremely small, hardly room for a suitcase, though not uncommon for a historical building. I was staying in a single room, so perhaps the double rooms are a little larger?

They close the heat during the night(I think between 01 and 06); I have stayed in r.15 - here you can here the tram after midnight till the morning; The breakfast is poor and every morning the same 3-4 king of food; Personnel is mostly kind and agreeable.

Very friendly staff and good location (near tram stop) 5-10min to city centre. Buffet breakfast was good, but not rich neither varied. I liked a lot the sweet present (chocolates!) with the wishes of happy new year.

This was a good hotel for the price. Transport to the hotel is excellent: it's just a few metres yards from a tram stop, 15-20 minutes easy walk from the centre and even a taxi from Wien-Mitte station costs less than six euros. The staff (like everyone in Vienna) were courteous and helpful. My room (No 8) was next to the preparation room for breakfast so I was woken early each day but this is a minor gripe. If, like me, all you want a handily placed hotel that is a comfortable and clean place to lay your head for the night, then I'd happily recommend the Resonanz.

The hotel was very well located for exploring the city. It provided a rather poor breakfastbuffet. I had to pay the total amount while checking in. The toiletseat was missing and stayed missing despite the remarks i had made. The staff was friendly and polite and this was for Vienna an exception, these are the worst people i have ever met. They act most of the time very rude and impolite as if they don't care at all.

We stayed at the Resonanz over New Year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff made us very welcome and there were little touches such as a New Year greeting and some little chocolates etc. We were also provided with cups to use with our travel kettle straightaway. We felt the photos on the website did not do the hotel justice - we thought it was much nicer than the pictures suggested. Location was very good for the city centre - very frequent tram routes stopped nearby which made it very easy to get anywhere we needed to go.

First time to Vienna. English speaking Kiwis. Pleasant enough. Had run out of the tourist info pamphlets we wanted some time ago. Didn't look like room was finished being prepared for us. No fridge - looked like it had been ripped out. No access to ice, no tea/coffee/water provided. Room was large with good storage. No instructions on TV/channels provided at all even when I asked. It is really close to lots of cheap email/telephone facilities and across the road is a Billa. Its a 10 minute walk to town/large transport station which is good. Breakfast served was fine. Overall it was fine but no fridge and no tv instructions was just annoying. Was it value for money? Only just. Actually maybe not.

My companion Ann (our other 4 female companions stayed in another hotel near er the Centre),and I were very impressed by the hotel staff and service. We were a little put off by the fact that there were roadworks near the hotel, but it did not really matter much, and the noise did not reach inside the room. The public transport service to the Central area of Vienna was very efficient and user friendly. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay, and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. One suggestion I would like to make, is that it would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room. Irish people are great tea drinkers, and like to drink tea at all hours of the day and night!! However, we just had to drink wine, which wasn't a problem!

Hi we thought that the Hotel was in a good location, and good value for money. We were a bit disappointed that our room (Room 10)was slightly shabby with some bad paintwork inside the cupboards and by the windows. The mattress was saggy on one side but we somehow slept very well. The doors were not very soundproof ß consequently we heard the couple across the hall having sex when we came back one evening and also were disturbed in the morining by noise from the breakfast room. It seems that the room next to ours was being used to clear away breakfast crockery and the staff were constantly chatting loudly to one another as they went past our door. Otherwise we would definitely stay here again, in a room away from the breakfast area!

Room was unacceptably small. I think the room was a storage closet at one time. The entrance/lobby is the smoking area and is unbearable to walk through. They also shut off the heating at night both nights we stayed, we were told that was "standard" practice. Worst hotel we have ever stayed in!!

In the last occasion I was in an other hotels but Resonanz is a good hotel a part (and this I thinkhs tha depend on the position of the room)a bit of noise becaming from the street (yram and car)but after the first day we got accostomed.

The hotel is located just outside the city centre, and it requires you to catch tram 21 from Schwedenplatz. The area is safe and would be your typical Vienna suburb. The actual hotel is very nice. The bathrooms were very newly renovated and spacious and sparkling white. The TV was very large, which was great for watching the World Cup. Unfortunately the fan was not working, which was really needed as Vienna was sweltering during our visit. Also when we arrived at 1345, we couldn't check in for an hour because the day's laundry had not arrived, which was unacceptable. The breakfast was very good - could not ask for too much more. Overall very good.

It's a quiet hotel with young staff in an old house! But you can see that they have made a nice effort to make it look better, carpets are new, also the wall painting. 3 tram-stops away from the Schwedenplatz and Ringstrasse, very central. Take tram 21 or N from Schwedenplatz underground station. It is very easy to find. Breakfast was very decent for the price of the room, not elegant but everything was there, even warm eggs and cereals. Despite the fact that some of the lamps and furniture need to be repare, I was very happy with the hotel and the friendly staff. The bathroom was very spacious to. Don't miss to stay here.I'll surelly come back again!
