parking place very expensive (20 €/day). Breakfast service unsatisfied e.g. no coffee one day.

Very enjoyable stay for our first visit to Vienna. A little out of the centre, but easy to get to (opposite Sudbahnhof)from airport, and not difficult to get to rest of city via trams, underground and buses.

The hotel was situated only 75m from the railway station (south)which was very convenient as my train got into Vienna at 23.30hrs.Even at this time the young man on reception was very polite and on the ball and I was booked-in in 3 minutes flat. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was varied and plentyful, the young people on duty were very polite and helpful. The underground is situated about 200m from the hotel and gets you into the centre of the city very quickly. Overall I throughly enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Prinz Eugen.

Very nice clean hotel with competent staff. Good breakfast provided as well. Close to south train station, but far from main tourist attractions. Walking 20-25 minutes. That may be the only drawback for elderly couples or a couple with children. I would return to this property only if I wanted to be close to south train station. Otherwise, I might look for a property closer in.

While the Prinz Eugen hotel is not located in the heart of Vienna, it is nevertheless a very well situated property. It is directly across the Sudnbanhof train station, which was our departure point for Prague after the stay in Vienna and we did not want to fuzz carrying luggage in the metro, etc. It is 2 blocks away from the Schloss Belvedere and a very nice 15 min. walk to city center or 2 blocks to metro station. If you are looking for good sized quiet rooms, good breakfast included in the price per night and you don't mind not having a "magical view", then this hotel is for you. Staff was courteous and pleasant and all we asked for-extra pillows were provided. Highly recomemded.

Hotel just fine if you need to be close to the railway South Station to continue your tri to another destination but want to have a touristic stop at the incredible Viena. Fine rooms but no internet available therein (neither wifi nor wired, although it was advertised in Venere), something unbelievable nowadays for a 4* hotel. Uninteresting breakfast, too. Ten minutes to the city center with the "D" tram.

We actually reserved the wrong day but they were very nice about it and changed it and had a room available. The breakfast was amazing, and free internet if you could get it when no one else was there. You can see the sign for it from the front entrance on the train station- no guess work!

the breakfast is very poor, it is not adeguate for a 4 stars hotel. There are no instructions on the TV working facility, as the for instance the payTV.

I had a twin room. The room was OK, but the staff didn't pay attention to "Do not disturb" sign and called and knocked the door to clean the room Sunday afternoon, while they could have done it in the morning, when we were away.

Not the best hotel in Vienna by any stretch, but a great all rounder non the less !

Some morning a male employee just rushed inside of my room while I was still getting ready to leave. The room was nice but too stifling and opening the window would let enter the perpetual noise from the road in front. Front-desk staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was the best part of my staying there.

If you are intending to take a train from Vienna to Prague or other cities using the south station this hotel is for you...AND the airport coach will pick-up\take you to this station too, so so easy at a 1 minute walk and you can see it from the station. The hotel itself offered splendid service at the reception, staff anticipated your needs and gave us the best service we encountered in our 3 weeks in Europe. Not always so easy to come by in this part of the world. The building is a little dated, however the furnishings, interior design and overall package supercede this. Breakfast included both hot and cold offerings and we were graced with a rear balcony and a good view from our double room on the 8th floor. The room was not a large room, but had everything you would expect it to have, including a trouser press for those who need one. Very comfortable, very quiet, very clean and very convenient...we were sad we couldnt stay longer.

Just oppsite to the south train station, good location for a traveller needs to take a intercity train or go to the Europe cities like Slovak Republic & Budapest. Walking distance to the Belvedere but not the St.stephans & the main shopping area, 5 mins walk to the Sudtiroler platz metro & Airport bus just outside the south train station.

The staff was very helpful and the breakfast in the same line of the Hotel category. The room was cleaned and spacious (I've bboked a single room and I've received a twin), but the wardobe was full of dust inside. The location it's optimal, in front of the Suedbahnhof.

Excellent traffic connections (just next to the Südbahnhof) and close to subway station. The area was not very so popular among tourists, but at daytime we felt perfectly safe. At night, it was ok.
United Kingdom, Oct 2006
the only problem was that we asked for one more day of staying and they said 140 euros because they are almost fully booked. we then checked on-line and booked for the same night a room for 75 euros!!! are they crazy???

Our overall stay was good. Our major problem was the noise of the big avenue in front of the hotel. If you can close the windows, it is not a problem, but as we go during the spring we had to open the windows because weather was hot sometimes. Bathroom is fine. The breakfast had a very good variety of cheese, however on the second day there were no orange juice. The hotel is close to the Südbahnhof station but the directions to arrive the hotel from the Westbahnhof railway station could be clearer. For example, the website could explain in which direction we should take Tram 18, and when to leave.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff are extremely professional and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the bonus of a balcony overlooking the city. Very convienient to railway station. Would recomend.

The rooms are very large and very comfortable. The convenient location opposite the Sudbahnhof made it easy to catch a very early international train and also local trains. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location, just near the SüdBanhof. Easy access from/to airport with the coach. We had a very nice room of the 8th floor with a wonderfull view on Vienna innerestadt. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately we had noisy neighbours, but the room itself was quite ok. It had a bar fridge but no airconditioning which was a nuisance as the weather was hot and humid. Breakfast was good. The hotel is very close to the train station and tourist bus service. An airport shuttle bus is also just over the road (wide roads). Our power went off one day - someone had been cooking in their room and blew the fuse. The manager was very obliging. We would stay here again.
