The rooms are not well soundproofed, the Internet operates at capacity, only in the lobby. Staff at the reception is ok. It is possible to leave your luggage at reception on arrival day and the day of departure at no charge. Room and bathroom are spacious. Attention some rooms have no A/ C so during the summer is not too good. Overall quality / price was OK

The hotel is very good one and has no frills. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Vienna. Yes, it is 3 or 4 stops away from the center. However, it is so well connected that you would not feel the distance. In fact we liked the walk to the center via Mariashilfer, a nice shopping area with trees, leading to MQ. I would go again and strongly recommend my friends and family because of its cleanliness, proximity, and price. The most important thing is that it is relatively cheaper. After staying in that hotel, I didn't understand why some people have rated below 7. It should easily be above 8.5. The staff were neither overly enthusiastic nor neglecting. They exactly did what is needed. In fact I didn't have to see them for anything (a good sign!!!). So I don't care about their response. We got value for money. Please note that I have done a good homework before settling for this hotel. I am glad I chose this one. Tip: In order to get to this hotel, take subways to Westbahnhof station and take tram 5 right on the subway (not the intercity or inter country) train station building...very comfortable feature.

Hotel Pension Kaffeemuehle is in an exellent location, just few steps away from tram 5 and tram 49. With tram 49 (5 stops - last stop)you are next to Hofburg palace, Museum quartier, Naturhistiriches museum, also on the last stop of the tram you can get many different trams to go to Belveder, to Opera haus, to Mozart Haus, to Urania and lot more places. With tram 5 you gone be in beggining of most longest shopping street Mariahilferstrasse and also u can reach underground or change tram 5 to 58 and go to Schonbrunn palace and it's zoo. On the way to Schonbrunn you can stop in Technisches museum. More about hotel. Breakfast was great, lot to choose from buffet and only for 7 euro. Staff is very supportive. Rooms is huge with openable windows and sound from tram didn't disturb us when windows was closed. End of june was hot (from 14 to 23), so we used cooling system at rooms. At winter you can have hitting as well. So, our stay with toddler (baby) in hotel was great, I would like only one thing to be improved, floor at room should be swept properly at least once in couple days. Thank you, if I go back to Vienna I'm gone choose hotel Pension Kaffeemuhle again.

The Hotel is quite well situated for most conveniences and attractions. Access using public transport is also very good with the City's West Bahnhof being a short tram ride away. The room was very basic and lacked any real comfort. Breakfasts were adequate if not also rather basic. Staff were helpful enough and spoke good English.

i was travelling with my family and needed a 3 and 4 bed room. this hotel was excellent value for money: high-ceilings, spacious and very clean bed laundry, lots of towels, a fridge (!!) and good customer service even at 1am when i needed the password for the hotel wifi connection to check us in for next day's flight. can highly recommend this hotel with excellent location close to one of vienna's main train stations (westbahnhof with bus leaving for airport every 30 mins) and largest shopping streets (mariahilferstrasse). A 20 minute walk to the historic part of the city (ring) with museums, parliament, opera theatres, parks etc.

Not all the rooms had the same quality. We had the bad one. Room had carpet and it was very dirty. We had a quadruple room but was a little bit small. In fact was advertaised as Aparthotel but there was not space to have meal in the room. Parking was expensive and uncorfortable. Breakfast was not bad.

This hotel is good, basic value for money, and I can recommend it. The location is excellent: within easy walking distance from Westbahnhof, and right on a tram line. For especially sensitive sleepers this might be a problem, but we had no problems with any noise from the trams. The rooms are simple and modern. The beds are comfortable and everything works in the bathroom. A good spread that caters for all tastes is provided for breakfast. I would certainly return to this hotel.

Kaffeemuhle Hotel worked very well for us. A small family-type hotel, nice breakfast room. it is somewhat away from the centre of town, but there are restaurants nearby, and it is only 10 minutes walk from the Westbahnhof,a metro (underground) station, and a tram stop. The metro (U) has an excellent, cheap, service, with which you can access the entire city.

Pension-type accommodation about 5 minutes' walk from Westbahnhof railway station - very easy to get to, especially if arriving by bus from airport. Staff speak English, and are helpful. Breakfast is pretty generous. First floor room obviously close to street level and therefore a little noisy, but that's inevitable. Overall, hotel is good value, and I would use again. Thanks.

The staff was consistanly kind and helpful. The room was clean but of such a poor quality that it was uncomfortable. We were only allowed one key for the four of us. What made that really bad was the door could either be locked on both sides or unlocked on both side. If someone wanted to leave and take the key to come in late at night without waking anyone else, they would have to lock the others in the room. What is that???

My wife and I had a reservation that we made through Venere.com. When we arrived at the hotel we were shocked. We have been traveling all over eastern Europe with hotels that we booked through Venere.com and they were great and exactly as what we expected. The Kaffeemule was a discusting hotel. The room that we were given was nasty and dirty. There was mold in the bathroom and on the back of the door. The wall paper was falling off and there were many outlets with the covers off. The Air Coditioner was a joke. When you turned on the a/c it blew hot air out the back and made the room hotter. We told the manager that we were not going to stay there any longer and he said that we had to pay for 2 nights. I told him that I would not, but he said my contract said that i had to pay for 2 nights. I had no option but to do this as they had my car locked up in their garage and I could not get out. I felt like I was being held hostage. This hotel was givin a 3 star rating, if it was a 1 star I would be amazed. This is the worst experience that we have ever had on any of our travels, and we have traveled all over the world from Australia to Russia. WE WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT EITHER.

Highly recommended. Great value. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff are very friendly. Breakfast is basic but it is more than ok to set you up for the day. To get there from the airport take the bus outside the airport to the Westbanhof - 6 euro per person. You can buy tickets on the bus or at the tourist info stand near the baggage reclaim and they will also give you a good city map. From the Westbanhoff cross the road to the underground station and take the U6 towards Florisdorf and get off at the first stop. As you leave the station you should see hotdog stands on your right. Cross the road, take the left turn at the crossroads, and then the next right at the next crossroads. The Hotel is about 100 metres on the right! To get into the city centre you just take the U6 for one stop to Westbanhoff and then the U3 as far as Stephensplatz. This brings you to the Cathedral - make sure to go in and take the lift to the top (4 euro) the view is magnificent! Enjoy your holiday!

We had rented two rooms. There was street construction that continued until 1:30 am. The street tram also ran right past the Hotel and was very noisy. We had made a 3 night reservation and told the night man that we were not staying because of the noise. He refused to accept our cancellation. We ended up leaving after 1 night but paid for two. We stayed at this establishment earlier in the month and found the accomodation provided excellent for our needs (3 adults sharing). This time we stayed only overnight and were provided with possibly the worst room in the the place. Fortunately we did not need to unpack as there was no room. Most of the light bulbs did not work and the room was incerdibly hot. We had no opportunity to self regulate the heat. The establishment was most apologetic as they were booked out for the weekend. I just dont believe they should have accepted a booking for a triple room if none were available.

A good location and a nice warm room. We were disappointed that the cooker in the room did not work als the bathroom heater did not work. I was a little unsure about the safety of the electrics in the room

AWESOME Hotel!! Breakfast included, room was spacious, bed was incredibly comfortable, bathroom was clean and roomy. Above all this hotel is about a 15-20 min walking or by transportation from all the main points of interest: the Westbahnhof Trainstation, The Ring Strasse, and the Schonbrunn Palace.Excellent hotel for the price and location!

Excelent positioned in Vienna (near the Westbanhof), access immediately to any transportation type. The best price in town! But you must live the room at the end of your sejour at 12:00 o'clock :( whenever you come.

To whom it concerns, Our first impression was enough good, upon arrival, until the day after breakfest!!! Too much NOISE and talk of the personnel during the serving!! We recommend them to close the kitchen DOOR,while the guest need confort to EAT!!! It is sad that the personnel is lacking of respect toward the guests by NOT greeting them, once they are sitted & waiting for the breakfest!! In Germany,as we know, the manners are ESSENTIALS !!!We want to suggest to You to train your personnel accordingly, since we are also European by origin. They talk between them TOO LOUD while they wash dishes...A last suggestion!!! You need to INSTALL some automatic water or soft drink mashine in the lobby, especially for the night!! In Canada , even the motels have at least ONE of such mashines! These were our comments & hoping that they 'll HELP to improove your Hotel functionning,in 2005! This is OUR WISH to you!

Pessimo come ambiente, arredamento, zona di ubicazione. E' lontano dal ring ed è necessario prendere tram + metro. Non lo consiglio a nessuno!

The hotel is quite comfortable and convenient in relationship of price/quality. Easy connections with public transportations to the main areas of the city. Unfortunately the competence of the employees is not the best.... Anyway we reccomend it.
