Hotel Pension Corvinus - Vienna

Good location near the uban/shopping area and not far from the gay area. Good wifi as well. Family atmosphere. For this area,good value for money.

One of the best hotels where we stayed in Europe. Owners were quite gracious, the room was clean, plenty of space, and the breakfast was quite generous and complete. The hotel was fairly close to the subway, and easy to find. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Excellente pension dans une avenue très commerçante de Vienne, proche du ring et du quartier des musées. Accueil et services particulièrement chaleureux (le patron parle 6 langues et fait en sorte que chacun se sente à l'aise). Je recommande !

When we arrived the hotel did not have any record of our reservation, but had a room available for us (3 people).However, the owner tried to convince us to pay in cash since he did us a "favor" by having a room for us even though they didn't have our reservation. We didn't fall for that. And they were reluctant to let us use the air conditioner in the room. The bad side - the hallway of the hotel was filled with clutter, and the bathrooms smelled like urine. Positive side - free internet access and computer.The staff were very nice and helpful.

A great hotel with a great staff! Just remember that this hotel is located on one of the busiest streets in Vienna so noise from the street is common.

This hotel is conveniently located in a very nice upscale shopping neighborhood. It is a pension which means that the hotel occupies only part of the building. In order to get to our room we had to go up a few floors (past another pension hotel) to the reception area. At off peak hours the door to the reception area was locked and you had to buzz to be let in. After we got our key we had to walk out of the reception area and down a hall to another door where we would be buzzed in again in order to reach an area which contained 5-7 rooms. It was a little inconvenient but very safe. The big problem with this hotel was in the way it was portrayed as breakfast being included. Be aware that it is not. We felt that the website was intentionally misleading. I had to get on the phone with Venere to resolve the problem. The solution was Venere agreed that a mistake was made and will refund the cost of the breakfast to us. Nicholas who owns the hotel or who gave us the impression he owned the hotel; picked us up at the airport (for a charge of 34 Euros). Our problem with Nicholas was that he seemed to be aware of the problem with the breakfast charges as he mentioned it to us at check-in. He also let us know that he prefered payment in cash and not by credit card.(We paid by Credit card)! We had a lively discussion regarding the charges for breakfast. When I asked him to call Venere to clear up the problem his response was that it costs money to call Venere and he was unwilling to do so. After finding a toll free number the call was made and the problem was solved. But now I have to submit receipts to Venere to get my money back. A real bother and pain. This whole experience left us feeling annoyed. I firmly believe that Nicholas was aware of the misleading information. I felt like he was trying to extract every Euro from us that he could. The breakfast for 9 Euros apiece was not worth the price. You could and should do better on the street.

Pension Corvinus is not fancy, but a comfertable, hotel. It is within a block of a subway station, making travel around town very easy. It caters to vacioners and business travelers. The staff is very friendly and helpful

Polite and helpful staff. Super clean and well-decorated room w/ useful facilities (like fridge,kettle, bowls, u name it!)The location is another great thing abt this property - very convenient to get to anywhere while it is still very quiet. The breakfast was tasty and good. Highly recommended!!!!

Absolutely stunning! We got a spacious room with a huge bathroom (including a spa), flatscreen TV etc. Everything was clean and the room had beautiful little details like flowers etc. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was great. The location was great, too. Just a two minute walk from the underground. All in all, I can warmly recommend this hotel to anyone. We couldn't believe we got such a nice hotel for the price we paid!

I spend two nights in Hotel Pension Corvinus, just next to a church, city center, good location, easy to go out. Reception are very friendly and welcome. There are two computers can check email for free.

My wife and I had an excellent 7 night stay. The staff was very friendly, curteous and helpful. Breakfasts were ample and freshly brewed coffee was served individually. Our room was very spaceous and clean. It was not on the same floor of the building as the front desk and main set of rooms. A U-Bahn station is a two minute walk away. Only two slight drawbacks. The hotel occupies two upper floors in a commercial building on one of Vienna's bustling shopping streets and the building entrance is not all that inviting (but once in the hotel itself everything is clean, peaceful and very quiet.) Also, the hotel has no lounge (though the breakfast room is spacious and comfortable.) My wife and I would use this hotel again when coming to Vienna. Highly recommended.

This hotel is located in the centre of Maria Hilferstrasse which is great. It's also close to the historical parts of Vienna. A good opportunity to combine shopping and history :-)

Our visit to Vienna was made even better by the warmth and friendly welcome and help that we received at the Hotel.All staff were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we were really made comfortable. They got the net working ,which was a delight to the kids,made reservations for our tickets to the Opera and also reconfirmed our bookings on a tour in Salzburg..all without any additional charges!

Great place to stay in Vienna - paid parking available but ask ahead of time for the name and location of garage they use for reduced rates. Located in a building with other businesses on a modern busy street with no place to unload bags. Huge rooms for European standards. Very close to underground stop. Internet available in rooms with flat screen tv's. Breakfast was nice and good coffee. Staff booked a concert for us that was great.

Nice 3 star hotel. Very good location only 10 - 15 minute walk to center & right by metro entrance. Excellant value for money. I'd stay there again.

Excellent location within one block of metro in the center of a busy metropolitan shopping street. Breakfast was limited relative to other European hotels, but the staff was responsive and helpful

Very well positioned, nice people (the employees). Confort quality - we had a four beds room - in between. The rooms are quite small, but in the end acceptable.Good price for this area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed at this hotel. Would definitely go back there. Highly recommend it.

We booked through you for an airconditioned room...or at least that is what I thought we were getting. there was an additional charge for air conditioning of 15 Euros a day for each room. that is a substantial amount to be charged unexpectedly.

What a delight our stay in Vienna was! Miklos and his family were absolutely delightful and made us feel completely at home. They were so helpful in helping us with transportation connections and in confirming hotels later in out trip. We would recommend this handy and wonderful hotel to anyone!

I had a fantastic stay here. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is in an excellent location near a u-bahn station and on one of the best shopping streets in Vienna. My room was lovely looking onto the Maria Hilfer Kirche and i really have no complaints at all about this lovely little hotel (especially as I got my room at half the usual price when I booked through venere...)

My stay at Pension Hotel Corvinus was wonderful! It was much better than expected and the owners were most helpful. I plan on staying there in future visits as well as recommending it to my friends. The staff was always friendly and attentive to your needs. They suggested a wonderful restaurant for dinner which was delicious. The Hotel Corvinus was located in a prime area where you can find any type of restaurant or shop to go in. It is also located near public transportation. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and spacious.

Hotel a gestione familiare e personale molto disponibile. Il posto è abbastanza pulito e le camere spaziose. L'hotel è centralissimo: hofbourg si raggiunge tranquillamente a piedi in 10 min. Unica nota stonata se così si può dire, la colazione non ha una grande varietà di scelta e rispecchia i gusti austriaci. Nel complesso raccomando a tutti.

Una estancia perfecta en Viena, a pocos pasos del centro histórico. El dueño, húngaro, nos atendió estupendamente y nos dio una habitación completamente nueva y con jacuzzi en el baño. Un acierto.

Great little family run hotel. -Friendly staff - good breakfast. pick up and deliver to airport for 32€ Worth it for us as we had very early morning flights both arriving and departing. Location fantastic - walking distance to all the main attractions within the Ringstrasse. Beautiful little church right next door. Mariahilfestrasse a great local shopping street - not so much the upmarket-tourist stuff. Also being shopping street means it doesnt start happening until aboaut 10.00am and is finsihed bz 9.30 pm so is never noisy. Would certailnly go back and recommend Pension Corvinus to anybody

We loved our stay. The location was great- just a 5-10min. walk from the city center. Or, if you want to just take the U, its very fast and convenient, and the station is just 1/2 a block away. The room is super spacious, clean, and very nice- with all the necessary ammenities like hairdryer, and lots of room to put your belongings. The breakfast was nice also. We would definitely stay here again if we re-visit Vienna.
