Hotel Kugel - Vienna

The room was clean, the service was great. The buses and trams were a bit noisy but they didn't keep me awake.

Very well located, nice staff, but there is some noise with tramways just in the street. Cleanliness of the bathroom not totally OK : empty bath soap packaging of the former customer staying, but bedroom totally OK

Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is well-located near public transportation so easy access to the Ringstrasse and the train station. Lots of shops and small eateries within walking distance. Wish they had internet at the hotel, but there is an internet cafe across the street to use. Would definately stay here again.

The staff and information were most contradictory. The young lady on the counter was most helpful in first 2 days -offering ironing facilities when attire required it for giving paper at conference- unfortunately her replacement denied any such service - and I had to wear crushed clothes. The men were appalling and there was nothing to make the room more comfortable -no coffee, nothing in the fridge - why was it there? no iron. Breakfast is fine but don't put the same meat on the table each day - the top laywers were turning colour by the 3rd day! An outright lie was to make me at great cost with taxi fares, find a Saturday bank because the staff refused to be paid an anything but CASH! Having had my card details from the web, there was NO indication that they would demand cash only. This was appalling and should be reportable. Overall- satisfactory just - for the price but appallingly lacking in service and obnoxious staff save for the women. Breakfast - as I indicated above was the same each day but careful of hygeine. I shall only be recommending this hotel for young back packers.
