This was our first visit to Vienna. Our welcome to the hotel by the receptionist can only be described as extremely poor. Her attitude towards enquiries and her response to request for help was non existent. The saving grace was the friendly and helpfully breakfast staff who could not do enough for you.

Very close to schonbrunn palace and to U4 subway line (10 minute walk - very useful when you have to come back late at night). close to the railroad but our room was very quiet.

Poor staff service. The location was ok. #52 goes to westboundhauf which connects to U3 to towncenter. One night we don't get bath towels in the room and the garbage bin was put on top of my luggage. When I went to reception to get the towels, the attitude of the staff in charge of room service was rude. But the staff working in the dining room were friendly. This hotel has a lot of group booking so at 0630am the dining room was packed of tourists. The food was ok.You better wait unitl 0700am to have better choice of food, like different cheese were served, more choice of fuilts were on the plates besides apple and orange.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms, clean with good service. It is a little noisy outside due to the tram line, but with the window closed it´s quite calm. Air-conditioned rooms make your stay comfortable in summer. On the other hand the tram line provides excellent access to the public travel system in Vienna. Tickets are sold at the reception desk, which is quite convenient and worth the price. Very good breakfast buffet provided for a moderate fee (15€) if not included in the room price. The hotel was booked by many families during our stay and I´d think the choice is proper for a family with little children. One more thing: there is a small italian restaurant "San Marco" in the Reinlgasse (tram stop 3 stations from the hotel), where you get some good italian food for modest prices). I would recommend the "Kavalier" to anyone who is looking for a good hotel at a modest price in Vienna. It is located in Penzing, about 3 km to Schönbrunn Palace.

It's just incredible that this Hotel doesn't offer an inner free wi-fi. The fee for the wi-fi service is outrageously high (10 euros per hour minimum!) and it's surely a way to discourage young visitors to choose it, even if all the rest it's quite appealing. Prices are reasonable, but there's no deal anymore if I have to pay 20 euros to be connected for a couple of hours. To stay connected nowadays is so important (and a real need for every business traveller like me) that even the last cheap hotels in Athens' Pireus have the free wi-fi available. So, even if this seems a little detail, it is not. Furthermore having a free wi-fi system would be such a small investment, I really don't understand what are they waiting for.

The room was clean except the floor cover that needs shampooing immediately. The female receptionist were nose-up. There was no writing desk in the room and the internet was not availble as well. Over all the quality of service was above average and I will be back there if I want to go to Vienna again.

Very fine hotel near Schoenbrunn. It's very good reachable if you travel by car from the 'Westautobahn'. Excellent relationship between price and qualtity. Staff is very friendly and exerted. Rooms are modern and spacious. Breakfast is very good and abounding. The only thing to improve is the dinner in the hotel restaurant. In the moment I would recomendend to eat out. In summary it can be ascertained that the hotel is excellent!

Quite satisfied in General. Rooms very clean and most staff friendly and helpful. Not impressed with the Bar Person (male) who kept disappearing from his post and made me feel that having to serve me was an inconvenience. One (only) of the restaurant staff was unpleasant, all others were polite and helpful. All three reception desk staff that dealt with our enquiries were pleasant and helpful. What was totally unacceptable was a dog in the restaurant at breakfast time drooling under the table and eating crubs from the table. This happened once only but that was once too often. The cloth that the waiter used to wipe the table when dog and owner left was then used to wipe other tables. In fairness to the waiter - he did not know that the dog had been eating from the table. There should be a total ban on dogs in food areas.

A great Hotel! The rooms are big and tidy. Breakfast is included in the price. You can take the tram 52 a few steps from the hotel and get off very close to the "Schönbrunn Pallace"!!! The staff is very friendly, specially the gentleman at the breakfast room. He works very hard to keep the large buffet full of delicious thinks. Thanks Venere for this excellent offer !

English: The location of the hotel is not ideal. The rooms are rather noisy, because there is public and private traffic on both sides of the building. Furthermore, the distance to the city centre is a bit problematic. It takes 15 minutes to reach the next tube station by tram 58. All in all, one can say that the Kavalier is not a 4-star-hotel, but it is acceptable for a low-budget-trip to Vienna. If you want more, you can choose one of the other houses of Austria Hotels

This was a nice hotel with a good breakfast and excellent prices. Our only complaint was that the rooms were too warm. We opened the window the first night we were there, and although that helped, the room was still warmer than we preferred it to be. Our radiator was completely off, so we had no other way to control the heat. I would definitely stay here again. It was a nice walk fo the u-bahn, and the tram out front went directly to the train station.

We found our overnight stay at Hotel Kavalier very convenient: the hotel is relatively central, easy to find. The service was very good, the dinner was very good as well. Breakfast was fine. The third bed was not very comfortable, however, on our first night there. On the second night (one week later), we had a room with 3 regular beds, which was better. In general, we found a very good relationship between price/quality. If we are going to Vienna for short stays, we will most probably choose Hotel KAvalier as it is very convenient from many points of view.

We stayed one night in this hotel. It is a just a bit away from the center of the town, but still be easily reached by U3 and a bus (only 2 stops). The price is quite reasonable for a four-stared hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The room that we stayed is near railways but we can barely hear any noise when the window is shut. Also, the breakfast is quite nice. In a word, we are very satisfied with this hotel and would not hesistate to recommend it.
