A relatively good hotel for the price paid. Ideal for families. Breakfast was excellent

The bath was cramped and in the shower cubicle was mould and it smelled musty. The first three day you couldn't adjust the heating. It was like a sauna. The personal at the reception was partially very impolite.

I am very pleased to stay in Hotel Gabriel. In spite of the room is not spacious, it was very clean. I really appreciate quality of breakfast (excellent), but also, a very important thing: is a perfect no-noising hotel.

Definitely worth money. Near public transport, good breakfast. We liked it.

Your desk clerk was wonderful helping us get our missing suitcase back from Austrian Airlines. We really, really appreciated his help.

The hotel is far from city center, even if the public bus and the metro works very well. Difficult to make my room dark: the light of the sun enter in the room at 6 A.M. Good breakfast servede in the diner-room or in the garden. The hotel haven't the Air Conditionated and the frigobar

Good start point for siteseeing. Wery clean and spacious rooms with extra plentiful breakfast. Not in the centar but very close to public transportation.

Very quite and clean hotel. Good service,spacious rooms and kind employees. Exact prices quoted on Venere. Bus going to the center of Vienna stopping few meters from hotel doors (bus 74A). Lot of shops and stores in the sorroundings. Breakfast included in price is quite good.

It's a bit far from the centre, but once you find the metro, it's easy to get around. The hotel is quiet and well-kept. It's 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal for Vienna or Bratislava airports.

There are varies kind of food. And very delicious!!Convenient transportation by tram to the central Vienna.

We had a very nice stay near the metro, the citycenter and everything else needed for at short holiday in Vienna.

Good place as point of start tour of the city. Excellent breakfast.

We stayed there three nights in a quadrouple room and it was a welcoming experience. The breakfast was excelent, with vegetables and fruits and many other sortiments of food. The rooms was a bit small and the second "double bed" was not very large. The backgarden was excellent.

L'albergo si trova in ottima posizione, sia per prendere la metropolitana (U-bahn) che il treno extra-urbano (S-bahn) da e verso l'aeroporto; Ci sono un paio di supermercati vicini al hotel che possono tornare comodi. La colazione è eccellente sia come quantità che come qualità; il posto è tranquillo e lo raccomando senz'altro!

Hotel più che buono in generale, camera per famiglia di quattro persone ampia... ma poichè camera sul viale principale un po' troppo rumorosa con le finestre aperte, manca la climatizzazione. Sembrano molto migliori le stanze nell'ala interna. Buona la colazione.

Albergo tranquillo, buon rapporto prezzo qualita', i dintorni non sono un granche' ma e' ben collegato al centro.Abbondante e buona la prima colazione.Personale accogliente e disponibile. Lo consiglio a chi non vuole spendere troppo(Vienna e' piuttosto cara).

Check-in time was at 2.00 pm and I arrived at 8.00 am., which was a minor complication, but I left my luggage and went out. The staff is really nice and helpful, and the room is great.

Was this the first time you stayed at Hotel Gabriel? NO What was your general experience at Hotel Gabriel? It's a great palce to stay. Good Access to public transports like Train, Tram & Buses. Of course well connected to all parts of Vienna. Even though I booked the Hotel for three nights, I wanted to stay there only for two nights. When I give this information to the recptionist, I got a great welcome and he accepted it immediately. What a flexible travelling they are facilitating even at the end moment!! :) :)

Good street signs so it was easy to find from the tram stop. Very good breakfast. About a 40 minute walk to downtown if you like to walk and if not, there are public transit connections within meters of the front door. I would gladly stay again.

The room is extremely small and dark. The wardrobe door was broken, the shower panel door was broken and the shelf in the bathroom was broken and the TV wasn,t working. Overall I would say it was disgusting. There was no response after making a complaint and the girl in the reception didnt even attempt to make the TV work

Other than being a little out of the center of Vienna, I can't fault our stay in Hotel Gabriel in any way.

The hotel in general is very nice (4 days). Still there are several issues i`d like to point out: 1. our room was near the lift, and it was rather noisy even during night time when it was being used. 2. The location is rather comfortable - near is the undeground station (even 2), and in the 10 minuts walk is the station of the speed train to the airport (it is some 20 minuts by this train to get to the airoprt). It is 20 minuts walk to the center, but still it is much more comfortable to use undeground to get there (in the evening its not very pleasant to walk that way). Breakfast was very nice. The room was clean and the personnal was friendly.

We were in four people with my wife and our two boys (12 and 16 years old). I think the property Is well located and the center of Wien is easy to reach by the line U3 Schlachthausgasse. The breakfast was wery satisfying and complete.

I got double room for single use. The room was ok but VERY simple. Bathroom was also very simple with shower cabin which was quite small. Breakfast was really good. The hotel is out of the city center. Take train S7 from the airport and get off St.Marx station, it is very close to the hotel. But overall I think the hotel is a bit overpriced. Sorry

This hotel is a very good value. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, varied and delicious. The front desk staff is unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The hotel is near Vienna's superb public transportation system with easy access to the historic central district. If you stay at the hotel, make sure to eat at the Gasthaus Sagmeister which is located nearby. The food is great and the dark beer is the best we found anywhere in our travels in Austria and Germany.

The Hotel Gabriel was a calm oasis in the big city. Our room was large, the breakfast was good, and the staff patiently answered our many questions with a friendly smile! We really enjoyed the convenience to the public transport!!

Very close to the Prater

We were very happy with the services provided. But as we were in Vienna during the weekend we needed to go a long way with a taxy to have a dinner because all the shops etc. were closed on Sunday. We found the week end staff very kind to help to advice us. But we would not stay in Vienna during the weekend again.

Close to train station for access to the airport. Not in the downtown tourist area, but close to transportation. Breakfast at the hotel was very good.

Gabriel is a value place to stay for a short, uncomplicated trip to Vienna. Only a short metro-trip away from city center.

Nice hotel, good transportation connections, excellent breakfast. Too small bathroom in single room required some acrobatics when taking shower. Unpleasant mouldy smell downstairs in the staircase.

Room on street frontage somewhat noisy at times, but otherwise quite nice hotel. No guest laundry facilities (same as elsewhere in Austria). Lovely garden out the back to relax. Would stay again.

The hotel is calm and well situated 20mn from the historical center of the town. The rooms on streetside have to be avoided. All interesting places can be easily joined using public transportation.

The only thing I didn't like is... there are not bikes for customers in hotel. In Venere.com is write there are. The underground is far 500/600 metres. If you have little children can be a problem.

This is a good hotel for a stay in Vienna. It is close to public transport and near to grocery stores. It is quiet and spacious. It is a bit limited for nearby restaurants.

GREAT HOTEL, excelent rooms (really big), very clean, very good brekfast included on the price, good location far from city centre but bus station few steps from hotel door were you can conect with metro station and go everywhere in the hotel lobby, they sell public transportation tickets so you don't have to worry for nothing, if i comeback to Wienn i defenetly will stay here again

Ruhiges Hotel. Große Zimmer. Badezimmer liebenswert altmodisch. Parkplatz für das Auto. Mit Öffis schnell im Zentrum. Empfehlenswert für City- und Kulturtouristen.

Hotel Gabriel is an ideal location for the single traveler. The room and bathroom were the largest on my trip. Located very near the Sudbahnhof Station, take tram toward St. Marx Square, and get off at Landstrasse-Hauptstrasse. Hotel in a mixed residential/commercial area. Take bus to the Rochusgasse U Station and you're in the heart of Ault Wien in no time. Breakfast, great, you can pay for Internet access, and the garden in the back is perfect in the afternoons and mornings. Ideal for single traveler or travelers who want a good place to sleep, without expecting too much from the property.

A good hotel, well located and with spacious rooms. Excellent price/quality.

I stayed 5 nights and my only complaint was that I never figured out how to get out on the internet with my computer. The instructions were in horrid English. However, I didn't bother to endeavor and talk to reception because I had a cell phone with me. The location is central enough that you are within walking distance from the train and there is a bus that stops outside the hotel that can take you close to the center of town.

The only default was the location of some rooms with the window on the road. It is quite noisy, for the rest clean, nice and confortable hotel. 6 bus stop ( 10 minutes ) to go to the centre. Breakfast excellent. I suggest this hotel.

Overall, a pleasant stay; good breakfast, nice staff; near-to-centre location; only draw-back - limited parking. We had to park on the road and promptly got a ticket. Nevertheless, the facility fully meets all the requirements of a three star hotel.

Hotel was undergoing room remodelling (little dusty halls) in 12/2007, when this renconstruction is over, there won´t be a single problem with the hotel. Hotel has a great location to the centre/airport, local public transport, shopping and restaurants conveniently accessible nearby.All major Wien sights reachable within 20-30 minutes. Great price/location/quality value.

This hotel is quite far out of central Vienna so we took a lot of taxi's. The staff were spectacularly rude, we thought we were in a sitcom.

Charming small hotel! The Gabriel doesn't look like much from the outside, and it is in an area made up mostly of small businesses. First impressions being what they can be, we were prepared to be unimpressed. Inside, however, we found the Gabriel to be a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed our room, the breakfast assortment, the staff's assistance, and our overall stay. Though the areas one would typically like to visit in Vienna are not in the immediate area, the bus to the U-Bahn goes right past the hotel. We were able to reach the area around Stefansplatz, typically, within 15 minutes. We had no problem parking our car at the Gabriel; they have an internal courtyard that accommodates approximately 7 or 8 smallish cars, however, we visited in October. This could be chancy in the busier tourist months.

A decent, busy hotel in a quiet neighbourhood of Vienna. Nothing of interest in the surrounding area, but the tram is right outside which will get you to the Sudbahnhoff train station in just a few minutes, and from there you can switch trams or trains and go anywhere. One of the major tour comapnies also runs its depot from there, which is good. They have a free internet terminal 24/7, but be careful: They don't have an elevator. The front desk staff were fantastic with directions, reccommendations and especially the many tours and concerts we attended. Great place.

We were very lucky to book and stay in this nice and clean hotel in the middle of the center with nice and helpfull people working there! You made our stay in Wienna unforgetable!!! Hotel Gabriel was an excellent choice for our family group with a lovely spacious quad room with separate bathroom and wc. The hotel is well located for public transport into the city either via bus or u bahn.

Be aware that this hotel does not have air conditioning or many fans for rooms. We had to go one day without a fan and it was almost 100 degress F. that day. Also the hotel only has a couple of parking spaces, no garage.

Very large, clean room. Only problem: internet in the room is expensive (2,50€ to "rent" a cable for half an hour). This service should either much less expensive/free, or with a possibility to use e.g. one hour over a stay of several days.

All was fine on the 2nd floor in a room looking to a quiet yard. The neigborhood itself was quiet with a perfect connection to the city center (by public bus). We could park our car in the yard. I had the impression that the rooms on the grand floor were not so perfect than ours on the 2nd floor.

Parking is a big problem and although the hotel does offer facilities, the car park was full and we ended up paying a 21 Euro parking fine. The hotel should have advised of their own accord that that they offer 24 h parking permit to park out on the road for Euro 4. We were not told about this until we had explained that we had got a fine. Parking in the hotel yard and garage costs 10 Euro per day - a bit too much. Hotels should offer parking free of charge.

We book this hotel also for the parking they advertise on the web. But they don't have enough parking places. I saw only 5-6 parking places and I didnt have were to park the car. In the end I paid 10 Euro to have the permission to park the car behind another one. They should not advertise for the parking on the web.

Habitation for 4 adults proved to small (2nd bed only suited for small children). Staff not really friendly.

The staff is very helpful.The rooms are spacious and with everything needed.We would be glad to go back to the property one day...

Ampia camera matrimoniale nella struttura interna (non lato strada) molto tranquilla. Doccia molto spaziosa. Colazione a buffet molto fornito sia europea che inglese. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Poco distante dalla metropolitana, sicuramente se torno a Vienna torno qui.

Book rooms number 200+ et 300+ : they are comfortable and quiet. Best must be 201-203 & 208-210 'cause they have view on garden. Rooms 100+ are in front of the street. Clean, in front of a tram stop, 5' from train station, and 12' from underground. But close neighborhood : nothing to do. Good Breakfast. Pour les Frenchies : hotel propre, je recommande les chambres au calme 200/300 (les n°100 sont devant la rue), bon petit dej, à qq mins des transports, par contre le quartier n'a rien d'interessant.

We satyed 5 nights in hotel Gabriel. It was quite easy to reach Vienna city center by public transport ( bus and U bahn). Hotel breakfast was quite boring, no changes in any morning. No tomatoes,no cuumber, no fruits !!!

Parking is not free ( 10 €/day ) hotel situation:Near tram station ( 200 m.)who is connected to a underground station ( 1200 m.)

Good hotel. Rooms are tiny but ok, although noisy. Neighbourhood is nice and easy to reach. Breakfast is great, but a little mismanaged in rush hours. The overall stay was good, I would recomend it.

We stayed in the QUAD ROOM, from 14th to 20th August, and we've really appreciated the room space available. In order to improve the room service we would recommend the hotel to supply daily cleaning articles for the bathroom. We had to ask twice for more at the reception...

As a 3 star hotel it provided spotless and comfortable accommodations close to the centre of Vienna using public transportation.Breakfast offered a varied selection of foods served in buffet style. Very pleased with the Gabriel Hotel.

The hotel was nice and clean and we got good service from the staff. Only negative was the fact taht the room did not have any windows that could be opened.. Would recommend anyone opting for this hotel to check out rooms that have have windows for ventilation as it can get quite stuffy.
