The only good thing is the location is very convenient. The bath room is terrible, there is no shower curtain, so every evening the bath room is very wet after taking shower. I cannot say the Staffs are very friendly. The old Austrian guy is good. But another gentleman was very rude. We have asked him to help to give a local call, he refused to help us, but his colleague helped us in the morning.

Very nice hotel. Stopped for 4 nights. Pluss (+) + Friendly staff + Pure beds + Big TV + Near to the underground + 20 minutes on foot up to the western station + 30 minutes on foot up to the center Minuses (-) - Beside a noisy highway. All ways to civilization lay through it. Noise of machines it is not audible almost through windows. The highway is not convenient to reach to the basic places - A poor breakfast. There were no eggs, sausages and bacon. - The amalgamator in WC publishes a strange sound. This sound so loud that wakes up all hotel. - The amalgamator in WC it is terrible not convenient. Each reception of a shower reminds struggle with itself. - Cleanliness of a bathroom leaves much to be desired - Double bed consists of two mattresses Result: The prices are very high for hotel 3*. If the prices would be below I recommended this hotel as for those who wishes to save many on an arrangement.

I was stay only for 1 night, so I can't give much comment. The hotel location is very near to U-Bahn & Tram Sta., so it's very convenient. But i think it's not in a very good area, near the red light district. The owners are very friendly & helpful, and the staff also nice, and they can speak english fluently. The city map is only good for U-Bahn, if you wanna ride on bus or tram, it's kinda hard to find it on the map, so if you already know where do you want to go, you better use Google Maps point-to-point direction & choose to go by 'Public Transportation'. Tips : there's a very good gelato place near the stephansdom church, District 1, 3,50 Euro for 2 scoop, but it's HUGE! and this place open 24 hrs! ZANONI & ZANONI, take U-1, stop at stephansdom sta., it's about 5mins walking distance.

When I made the reservation I was a little skeptical because of some reviews. However, the Cryston turned out to be a great find for the great value. The hotel is clean (the recent remodeling probably helped), the room is spacious, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is very convenient (just a few step away from subway entrance to unlimited possibility of Vienna's charm). The surrounding might not be so appealing (not dangerous at all, just around busy streets), but I'm not there to linger around the hotel. I am very pleased with this hotel and the price (including breakfast which was plenty enough). I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

My only negative comment is that the bed was not comfortable. I don't like such a hard mattress. Also, we had to pay to use wifi. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice with free parking, buffet breakfast and across the street from the metro station. Very nice hotel staff. I'm sorry I can't recommend the hotel because the bed was too uncomfortable for me.

Ideale Lage, nahe U-Bahn-Station; Duschvorhänge wären prima; leider keine Eier zum Frühstück; leider kein Weißbier im "Garten" am Abend; Zimmer groß und geräumig mit geräumigem Bad aber einige Zimmer sehr klein mit winzigem Fernseher über dem Kopfende des Bettes;

We had a very comfortable stay at the Cryston. Excellent, large room with comfortable bed and modern bathroom (with bath and shower). Generous and varied breakfast each day. Staff friendly and helpful. Very close to public transport and in the main station in central Vienna in 4 minutes. I would stay at Cryston again and recommend to others.

This is a family run hotel and well looked after. The rooms are clean and a bit more spacious than usual for Europe. Rooms on the courtyard can be noisy if there are people in the courtyard as the noise echoes. It is a non-smoking hotel but you can smoke in the courtyard or lounge room. It is easy to get to the city by the underground train across the road and also only minutes to Schonnbrun Palace by tram, also across the road.

We are a family of 4, asked for a quad room and receive a large one, very good decorated, the staff friendly and the parking place just behind the hotel. One of the best hotels in our trip, very clean and spaciousness. The only thing we didnt like was the shower with NO curtain so, it was a mess, all bath wet, we had to learn how to take the bath to avoid wetting so much. We wonder Why they dont put a simple curtain, so easy to solve the problem! We dont understand, and this is very usual in Europe. The hotel and breakfast was excellent for price. We would return if we travel again to Viena!

Hotel is far from Vienna airport and international train station. Special indications should be provided. Schonbrunn palace is the most interesting landmark in Vienna which can be reached shortly by metro. The metro station is near to Hotel Cryston on the opposite site

Hotel Cryston is ideally located directly in front of a tramway and a subway station. Since you can thus leave the immediate surroundings of the hotel easily it does not matter that the area where the hotel is situated is rather unpleasant. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely willing to help. The room was fairly spacious and clean and the furniture was in an average conditon. Altogether the room was in a better state than I would have anticipated given the affordable room rate. Only the lighting was rather poor, the water pressure of the shower was very low and the water there became only moderately warm. The bed was alright and due to the sound-proof windows in my room directed to the inner court I had absolutely no street noise at night. The quality and variety of breakfast was also somewhat above the level to be expected of a hotel of this category. I only missed fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet. So I had a pleasant stay at this welcoming hotel of which I particularly appreciated its extraordinarily friendly staff.

The staff was very helpful with us The location is a little far from the centre but you have the metro at 2 minutes from the hotel and it is easy to go everywhere The location of the hotel is close to Schombrum Palace

Hotel Cryston was a great value for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast sufficient, and the rooms very clean. We stayed in a triple room which faced the road and it was a little noisy with the windows open but very quiet with them closed. Might be a concern if going in summer because I don't believe our room had air conditioning. Area around hotel was not great, but we never felt unsafe. Would definitely stay again, very close to a U4 u-bahn stop.

Beyond the fact that the hotel interior was dated back to the 1970's, we did not find the staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was very limited to breads (with some cheese and meat) For the price, I would not recommend this hotel.

I spent only one night at the hotel, but next time I will definitely return to this property. The cleanliness, the spacious room and bathroom, the very nice staff (also English speaking), the availability of a parking place and rich breakfast highly recommend this hotel ! Thank you !

We loved our stay at the Cryston. We arrived early in the day and they were ready for us. It is right by the metro. The staff was most helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. We especially loved the decor...art and lace curtains. We were also able to leave our luggage for the day. Great hotel.

It is a good hotel with nice clean rooms. Staff are friendly and speak perfect English. Two main things I did not like: 1)) the breakfast is very poor and they seem to get offended if you take a big one (like me) 2) although being very close to Metro station, the identification of the exact location is very tricky. I think they should provide step by step instructions on how to reach hotel from the metro station (not just say we are in front of the metro station!).

The hotel is in a really good position, since in 30 seconds you can get to the subway and in 5 minutes you're right in the center of Vienna. People are generally friendly, but sometimes rough. I had a huge room, which (ask for the 311 if you book!). It was unfortunately a bit dirty (dust under the windows).

Nice and clean. And very close to the underground station - just a few meters! (didn't I read a review that stated it was pretty far from the public transport...?)
