Overall we had a superb stay at this hotel - friendly and professional staff, well kept room and surroundings. It is a shame that there was no in-room tea/coffee making facilities and there was considerable noise from other rooms (not entirely the hotels fault it has to be said). Wireless lobby internet was good but perhaps the re-login would be better managed (30mins per code is a bit of a fuss....). Overall though - excellent!

Old style room both in furniture and in equipment. Little TV with dirty Remote control. Minibar didn't work for one day and from the reception they told me that was not possible to change it. Safe too little for a laptop. Wireless signal in the room really weak even if expensive(9 Euro per day!!).

What a beautifull building with old world charm. Could have been an old Aristocrat or Regal residence prior. Rooms spacious with high ceilings. Modern bathroom and comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and very professional. Restaurant/Bar staff lovely friendly people. Main tram junction just across the road making travel to CBD/Rail/Airport quick @ easy. Stayed for 4 nights and found it very relaxing and pleasant.

The place is close to the U4 station. But it is a little diffucult to find it, because I arrived in night. Fortunately, I asked someone, and got the right direction, then it is easy to find it.

This was a very nice hotel to stay at, in a wonderful city to visit. Staff were very pleasant and helpful e.g. making restaurant bookings for us, giving directions and making arrangements for us to extend our stay. The street entrance is very welcoming and romantic to come home to at night. The very convenient location for trams and the short walk to the Metro make transport around the city easy. It would be wonderful to have tea making facilities added to the room. We did note that the arrangement of having to climb over the high sided bath to get into the shower would be impossible for older people with limited physical ability.

Would defintely be an advantage if an Electric kettle is provided for morning tea or coffee. Definitely a good place and recommended to stay. One suggestion - take the tram D line instead of Franz Joseph metro line. Vienna is definitely much more conveniently connected by tram than by metro.

On arrival our room was upgraded and was clean, spacious, warm and comfortable. Furniture and furnishings tasteful and in good condition. Some noise from the trams in the morning but not too disturbing. Staff pleasant and helpful. Easy access to the City via the D tram around the corner. Good value for money.

This is a very comfortable hotel with very pleasant staff,we enjoyed our stay very much, I could only rate the photographs & area at 80% as the area was once far more salubrious than it is today. As a base from where to venture into the city centre it is excellent with S-bahn, U-bahn & Strassenbahn within 100 metres.

Very good location, only 5 minutes to the city centre by metro (the metro station Friedensbrücke is the nearest one), or 10-12 minutes by tram nr. D (the stop is at the front of train station). Clean, quiet area with a lot of good restaraunt. Excellent relationship price/quality.

The room facilities were very good (specially the possibility of choosing the temperature), but it would be a great idea to improve the tv service by adding videoclub options or more channels. All was very clean and the room and bathroom were spacious, but there were some stains in the carpet, in the corridor and inside the room. That was the one and only problem we found. Well, that and the fact that we decided not to have breakfast there because it was very expensive. You can get a cheaper and really good one in a cafe very close. Broadly speaking we recommend it and we would repeat.

Perfectly adequate for the price and quite well located. Rooms a bit small, and we got an upgrade, so I wonder what the ordinary ones are like. Breakfast is quite expensive and not included, but there is a cafe round the corner by the station.

Comfortable and spacious room, very good position - only 5 minutes walk from underground station and 15 minutes walk from the Ring (20-25 from Dom). If you come by car you can leave it in the courtyard of the hotel or, if no place is available, in a garage nearby, but this will cost you 20€ per night -at least less than most of public garages.

Very nice hotel, great room, we reserved a standard and they gave us a "superior" room at the same price. everything was very cleaned and the staff was fine. you can reach the city center with the tramway D in 15 minuts and there is a nightbus after 12pm, cant remember the number. we'll return sure to this property for our next holidays in Wien!

We reserved 2 double rooms for us (couple in our 60s) and our daughter and her fiance (late-20s). We felt that the rooms were very good especially given the price we paid (€62 per room per night). We did not have the breakfast in the hotel but there is an excellent supermarket across the road with fresh rolls and croissants among other fresh produce. We had trouble with the location at first, however in the end we found it to be quite easy to get around from the hotel using Vienna's excellent metro system. Highly recommended as this is great value for what you get.

Great hotel, staff welcoming and professional. Location outside of the center but underground nearby and tramway just outside. Rooms clean, but small for a 4* hotel. Breakfast far too expensive: 15 euros. Just outside of the hotel, there is McDonalds Cafe with a great selection of cakes, cofes, etc.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile a qualsiasi richiesta.

Consigliato. Too bad breakfast was not included in the price, but right in front of the hotel there's a good supermarket (BILLA), McDonald's and many other services. The hotel is well connected to the tram (line 5 and D, this latter runs throughout the Ring and brings you downtown)... a few minutes walk away is the metro (green line, Friedensbrucke stop). Recommended.

We (myself and my two sons) stayed at the Bellevue hotel for six days during a summer vacation to Vienna. For the specific price we paid we found that the Bellevue hotel gave excellent value for money. That is, we skipped the 15 Euro breakfast and bought our own breakfast from the grocery shop across the street in stead. Be aware that the broadband on the room is charged extra (22 Euro for one day!), but it is included in the room price if you choose a "Deluxe" room. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, and the hotel is situated close to public transportation (tram only a few steps away and a five minutes walk to the U-bahn), implying that the hotel was a very convenient base for our stay in Vienna.

Well The Hotel looks fine on the outside the lobby is a bit tired and old, the bar is nice to look at, but too expensive to sit in, compared to the Vienna Café's. I guess everything seemed better than it actually where, we only stayed one night, but when we arrived the hotel desk personel, did not have our reservation for 2 rooms. So we where given 2 rooms in the absolute back of the hotel. In the VERY CHEAP OLD "COMING TO AMERICA" SECTION, everything was different from the rest of the hotel, the rooms where not totally clean and seemed like that nobody had been living there for a long time, or been there with a duster. A lot of dust on the bed tables, lamps and desk. The big difference from the front part of the hotel to the BACK part, was that The Carpet simply changed as well as the doors when you entered this part of the hotel, you would see lots of old marks and spots appear all over, very old doors, not at all like the rooms that we passed to get there. The Tv's were old and very small, not like the pictures on the net, as well as the safe was broke and almost no soap or anything else on the toilets. Our view was into a backyard, not very flattering at all. I asked for the Breakfast rate, which was 15 Euro, I went down to check it out, I simply have to say, that it was not worth 5 Euro after my oppinion. We chose not to eat there, since you can go to the best Vienna Café's and get a great breakfast at 30 Euro's for 3 people. Well I guess we slept there for one night simply because we had to transfer to another hotel in Vienna. The only really positive thing I have to say about this hotel is, that the bed's where quite comfortable. Beside this, The Check-Out Procedure went quite bad, since the receptionist who could not find our booking the day before, had forgotten to make a new booking in their system, so the receptionist at check-out could not find the price for our rooms or our names in the system. Well all in all not the most flattering place to stay in

As a hotel this is a very nice hotel. The location is ok. While it is in a area that is a bit bus stop....it is convenient. I did not find the staff all that helpful, except for one in giving directions...not rude, just not outstanding. I did not eat the breakfast at 15 Euros, so cannot comment...the cappacino at McCafe across the street for 3 euros was enough for us. I think they need to adjust their prices slightly and include breakfast to compete, with McCafe, but enough people seemed to be coughing up the 15 Euros. Close to a good grocery store, pharmacy if you are saving money. There is a Greek restaurant down street which is good. I think if we had stayed one more day, my rating would be higher, as much of my frustraton is from figuring how to get frm thre to here, with limited information provided by the staff. Also, ticked because I pay cash, but they insisted on a guarantee on my credit card, which as I suspected got rang through, and because my bank takes about 3 weeks to reverse even a guarantee it always ticks me off. So that is coloring my review a little.

We reserved a double room standard and our trip to Vienna was even more romantic because the hotel and the room itself reflected the spirit of Vienna in the best way possible. Everything was great except for the location... nothing around it and you need to take the tram or the ubahn to go anywhere. also since it is next to a main train station it is a bit dodgy at night not dangerous though. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bellevue. The hotel is located close to Franz Josef station and it is very quick and easy to travel into the main tourist areas by either the Metro or the bus. Both are excellent services and the Vienna Card is very good value. There is a supermarket across the road from the hotel including fresh fruit, bread, etc. We booked a superior room which turned out to be good value. The room was very large with high ceilings, a good size bathroom, lounge area as well as a large bed. Room was quiet with good soundproofing from the road below. We were so impressed we stayed at the hotel again later in our travels. Don't know what the standard rooms at like but we can certainly recommend the superior rooms.

A well-known, old hotel, in good, old-fashioned with high quality of everything. Right next to the central station, but not very close to the historical center (far to walk). Good staff, well-trained and good-mannered. the only disappointment - they didn't have skoming rooms, which wouldn't be that convenient if we stayed longer (each time one has to go down to the lobby).

We had a wonderful stay in Hotel Bellevue and regretted staying only 2 days in Vienna. The hotel is extremely well priced for a 4 star. The reception staff was helpful and gave us great tips on the surrounding areas. We came in from Sudhbhanoff and took the TRAM D which was approximately 13 to 14 stops to the hotel. After staying in 2 to 4 stars hotel in other countries, we finally got a real "hotel"... nice soft beds, modern bathroom, airconditioning, cable, WIFI etc. We preferred to take the U-bahn (metro) which was a 10 minute walk from the hotel (I'm a slow walker). The metro was easy to navigate although the Vienna map looks daunting so although you are not in the inner stradt, transpo is so easy. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend it to family and friends.

The hotel is certainly recommendable. The city centre is just a few stops by tram away and the area offers a few shops and restaurants where you will meet fewer tourists and more locals. My husband and I were traveling together. We have no major complaints about the hotel except that I had requested a smoking room and the type of room that we had booked (deluxe) were all non-smoking. Apparently, there were standard rooms available that were smoking rooms, but our concierge allowed that they were not as nice. I smoked in the bar and kept my nice room. The breakfast (included) was varied and the hours of availability were reasonable. Although the hotel was a little out of the way, we were able to access the subway quite easily to travel to into the city centre, and of course everyone walks there anyway. There was also a convenience store right across the street, which stayed open 'till 11:00. Our friends in Vienna were surprised that we had such good accomodations for under 100 Euros. We returned to the Belleview several days later after touring through other parts of Vienna. Internet access was available in the reception area.

Excellent hotel! The Tram lines run 500 feet from the hotel and it's incredibly easy to get around. The price we paid was very reasonable for such a big, nice room. Breakfast was really good. They had all kinds of bread, jam, croissants, eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit juices, coffee, tea, fruits, cereals and pastries. The rooms had these really high ceilings and equally high floor-to-ceiling windows which made the room much larger. The bed was very comfortable. They had fast cable internet in every room which helped us a lot. Some minor complaints though...but not enough to prevent us from returning! When we checked in, we had 3 big, bulky and heavy bags. No one offered to carry it up to our rooms for us. The guy at the front desk kept staring at us when we were lugging our bags to the elevator. I thought that was kind of rude. The hotel did not have any city maps to offer. Also, the rooms don't have a small passage as soon as you enter which usually helps to keep the noise out. You open your room door and you step right into the middle of your room which made it a bit noisy whenever people walked outside or closed/opened their doors.

Excellent services; proper spacious rooms, very good conditions for both, work and leisure. The only problem that wi-fi Internet connection was not available all the time.

The staff is less friendly and efficient then expected in such a big hotel. There are however one or two nice persons. The shower are really horrible they are fit for 4 feet tall person and because of this the bathroom end up full of water and of course smell of midldew. This being said the hotel is relatively clean, and the location is really good.

We stayed in a double room on the top floor that seemed to have been newly refurbished. Everything was new and fresh, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. We were very satisfied with our stay at Bellevue, the only negative things I can come up with are that breakfast wasn’t included, but we know that in advance, that they charge you a hefty €15 a day to use their backyard parking and that the hotel is situated about 2 km from the real downtown area. There is a nearby Underground though and opposite the street there’s a huge grocery store where you can by sandwiches, yoghurt etc and store in the minibar and have breakfast in your room if you don’t want to pay a fortune to the hotel. Apart from the three tiny minuses, I would definitely stay there again as the comfort is 1st class however the rates are tourist class.

The hotel is excellent in terms of price versus the offered services, rooms, and most important... the delicious breakfast. One problem I faced regarding the car parking; Venere.com indicated that the hotel offers a parking area which implies a "free parking" while the hotel charged me EUR 15 per night for the parking.

This grand old hotel built in 1873 is unsurpassed value, it comes with capacious rooms which allow you to relax, full buffet breakfast, and close proximity to transportation. It gives one a feeling of old world splendour and a hint of what Vienna must have been like in the 19th century. The one drawback was the absence of air conditioning in the very hot summer of 2006, but this problem was found in many other European hotels which have to adjust to the pronounced effects of global warming.

I found the staff in the hotel very aloof and unhelpful. Our room was very noisy - there was basically a building site right outside. I would not stay here again.

This place was brilliant - not only was it good value for money, but it had breakfast included - and what a breakfast! It alone would take you through lunch and possible dinner! The rooms were quiet, and there are bath tubs! The water remained hot after 15 minutes in the bath - it was perfect!

Quality hotel at budget price! Wide rooms, cleaness, and a good breakfast included in the rate!!Close to pubblic transport (10 minutes to city centre). A good choice to for visiting Vienna...The only fault I encountered was the almost completely missing of complimentary products in the bathroom.
