Very close to city center, and good quality, affordable

Alpha's Vienna hotel is convenient to metro and tram stops, shopping, and restaurants. (We especially liked the Helene all non-smoking restaurant.) However, major tourist sights are more than an easy walk away. Our double room was small but quiet and well appointed with an easy chair, desk, and comfortable side-by-side twin beds. The bathroom shower was small, but the room itself was modern and well lighted. The included breakfast was ample, varied, and well staffed, and was served in a room that accommodated many guests at one time.

Excellent, not too big hotel, very well situated - we felt very comfortable in this hotel!

I stayed (alone) at the Hotel Alpha for 4 nights while visiting the University of Vienna. It is very conveniently located, quite close to an U-Bahn station and within easy walking distance of all of the old city. There are some shops in the immediate neighborhood, but not very many. The street itself is quiet and easy to find. The hotel lived up to all expectations. The room was compact but nicely furnished in a contemporary style with everything necessary (except for a convenient place to put a suitcase). The bathroom was spotless and modern, and everything was in order. The room looked onto an interior air shaft and was very quiet. The price was very reasonable for the quality and convenience; this is the second time I have stayed here. The one annoyance is the high price of internet access; 13 Euros for 24 hours is excessive. An outstanding feature of the hotel is the breakfast (included in my price), which has a large variety of hot and cold foods, many fruits and breads, etc. I would certainly stay here again.

What’s OK Position: the hotel is indeed in a central zone, behind the Rathaus. It’s next to the subway and in 15 minutes by foot you can be near the Hofburg Personnel : the personnel speaks a good English, they are kind and they furnish good information. Breakfast: variegated and good What’s NOT OK Precision: the evening when we have arrived I have asked to have the price list of the minibar that was not in the room to avoid disagreeable situations. The doorman delivered me the price list, on which I marked the consummation. To distance of a few days in the room there was a new price list, with the prices retouched upward. Who has put it sure was able to notice the precedent list that I had supported near the bed. To the departure the consummation to the minibar has been made me pay with the new price increased despite I had delivered the list that initially they had given me. I have paid few cents in more, but the event has been VERY boring Cleaning: I have found on the fund of the minibar a film of yellowish water on which a pair of hair floated. After two days I had to clean (the minibar every day was surely checked for annotating possible collecting: but the cleaning?).

Pleasant stay, very clean and nice staff (especially the asian looking waiter). We may grumble about the fridge which does not refregerate at all but very clean rooms and quite hotel.

The hotel was situated just 300 m behind the town hall in a narrow quiet street with no traffic. Rooms vere clean and newly renovated, although a bit small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only "bad" thing I noticed about the hotel itself was the lack of an alternative emergency exit in case of fire. There was no way out but down the only stairs and out the main enterence. The tram going to the state opera made a stop just 100 m from the hotel, and the ride took around 5 minutes, going every 10 minutes. It was about 20-25 minutes walk to St.Stephens cathedral from the Hotel.

Sistemazione accogliente senza particolari lussi, molto comoda al metrò e al centro di Vienna. Giusto rapporto qualità-prezzo.

The hotel was initially a little hard to locate coming from the metro at night - (the signage out the front isn't great). However it's worth it - overall this is a great budget hotel in a fantastic location for exploring vienna. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Good breakfast also is included.

Room and accomodations were adequate - only problem was internet connection was not available for entire stay.
