Watch out for some reason wifi makes all other hotels booked so you will pay 3 x the first night price if you want to stay longer. I just used a different wifi to stay somewhere else for three extra nights. Great kbob and pizza second kbob going left out front door. Cheap but there was normaly a long line compared to anywhere else.

the hotel room was very adequate and the breakfasts were very good; the front desk personnel were not particularly friendly or welcoming and appeared to be more interested in whatever was occupying them (something computer related)at their desk than their guests; during the days we spent at the hotel there was one receptionist who was welcoming and attentive to guests

Had an apartment on 5th floor that exceeded our expectations. Clean, spacious rooms, with two toilets and shower, kitchenette, and roll-out cots for our teenage children. Walked back from downtown Vienna in the evening - took 30 minutes. But public transportation is easy to use and get to from hotel. Excellent breakfast in a pleasant dining room. Will definitely stay there again when we're in Vienna!

very good as position, services and ompetence, gentleness and avalibility of employees. The 3-bed room was very spaciosus, clean and with an excellent shower. Breakfast was very good. The only weak was that sometimes a little smoke was coming from the bar to hte lobby when there were some guests there, in the evening

Very nice hotel, very clean, excellent breakfast, hotel staff very helpful, friendly and efficient but the location is an absolute 'no-no' with the non-stop 24-hour traffic noise. The railway station and public transport system across the road is very convenient and easy to use, so for anyone not bothered by traffic noise the hotel will be an excellent choice. Very good value for money. I travelled on my own and the staff were extremely helpful in suggesting and arranging day trips for me.

I needed a room in Vienna for one night. I was amazed how cheap this place was for a time at the end of the new year holiday season. I was in the hotel only 8 hours (arrived late one evening and left very early the next morning) so didn't sample the facilities or have breakfast. The staff were enormously efficient and helpful - check out at 05:30 was no problem at all. I would consider staying there for longer trips to Vienna, especially if I could get it at the same price, though I might be prepared to pay more to be nearer the centre.

It was my first trip to vienna and I have stayed for only 3 nights at hotel Allegro. The hotel is located near to train, tram ,bus station (just across the street). For an instance, with bus no.14A,Marriahilfe strasse (Neugasse station) can be reached in no more than 10 minutes. With trains, Wiennmitte (the center)can be reached in 15 minutes and International Airport in 35 minute.Vienna has an amazing public transportation. The hotel personall is very friendly, and help us and other turists with a lot of information regarding Vienna transport, fees, tips etc.Breakfast at the hotel is more than plenty. We had an triple room ,very spacious may be the furniture must be rennewed and the walls and carpets must be cleaned.Per totall we had a very pleaseant stay at Allegro hotel

Rooms are clean and spacious. The centre of the city is not very far from the hotel and well linked, by train and tube. Breakfast available for all habits. No parking places available for all guests and nothing particular in the surroundings. General experience has been good;it wasn't the first time that I was there.

This was by far the best hotel we've stayed in during this trip. The room was enormous - a separate bedroom and living room. The girl at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - plenty of fresh food and coffee. Our room had a little kitchen so we were able to cook some meals ourselves. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk from the main part of the city but there are plenty of buses, trains and trams. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna. I would definitely stay there again.

We have booked a double room : when we arrived the hotel gave us an appartment under the roof for 4 persons (1 double bed was added and layed on the floor !) ; no curtain on the 2 little windows, no comfort at all and no space with this added double bed. I asked the hotel to give me a double room as I have booked. The hotel gave us a very small but comfortable double room (around 10 m2). It was the smallest of the hotel, as we have seen on the map of the hotel. There was no correspondence with the "very spacious room" indicated on the web pages and photos of the site Venere. But the buffet-breakfast is of great quality. Very disappointed by the welcoming of the hotel and the size of the room.

I booked the Allegro through Venere, and as usual, everything was represented accurately...thank you Venere! Our stay at the Allegro was for the most part fine. The room needed upgrading. The carpets were filthy and needed shampooing (I am in the cleaning business). There was a small TV on a low desk, which made it difficult to see while you were watching in bed, and only a few buttons worked on the remote control. The 4th remote control they gave me finally worked: Remote controls ware out, and need replacing every few years. The walls were bare of any pictures, and made it seem more like a dorm room. The bathroom was clean and modern. Most of the staff was helpful, and even booked a tour for us. The included breakfast was excellent, and in a newly remodeled room. They had a free Internet computer in the lobby, which was very nice. The location was also good. There was a tram station across the street with direct connections (#6, #18) to the two main train stations, in fewer than 10 minuets for both, as well as the #1 directly to the opera house (main downtown shopping area). The area around the hotel was also good. They were several markets, banks and restaurants within walking distance just down the street (don't eat at the china buffet). Overall I would have to say that we enjoyed our stay at the Allegro. We paid around $80 for a double room that included a great breakfast. The rooms and TV’s need updating, but I would definitely stay here again.

It is the first time I visited Vienna as well as staying in Hotel Allegro. The reason I chose this hotel is that it is close to South station where I can take an early train to Venice. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful but the people of the surrounding areas are not so, especially the people at the cafe near the train station closed to Hotel Allergo. I have not spent enough time in Vienna, so I cannot comment more than I should. I will choose other hotel to stay if I visit Vienna again.

We had a great time in Vienna and the Allegro Hotel played a big part in our enjoyment of this wonderful city. The hotel was very clean and everything was in order. The front desk employees were all very friendly and helpful and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The location of the hotel was a few steps from transportation (eight minutes to the historic area on Vienna's excellent tram system), and if you can't afford to stay right in the "old town" area, this is the next best thing. The (included) breakfast buffet was excellent and started the busy day off right!

My wife and I were in Vienna, for a conference, for the first time. The directions to the hotel from the airport and the prices were up to date. Hotel is in a very convenient location for central Vienna and to the airport. It is right across the metro/train station. Although our room was facing the road to the station (good view) there was no noise in the room. We had very nice breakfasts every day, food quality, variety and service was good. Prompt room service. Last day they kept our luggage while we shopped (all day long). There are small food stores around the hotel (walking distance), even at late night and on Sundays. We had long walks at night with no problems in the streets. A coffee maker would be good in the room, but its absence was already mentioned in the WEB page, no surprises. Complementary items such as shoe cloth, plastic bag etc. were missing in the room. Internet (cable and wireless) is available at the lounge.

This hotel is just opposite a tram and S-Bahn station and therefore is transport to the city center and attractions is easy. We were placed in a big room (the biggest in the hotel) with three windows and view from two sides. The hotel surrounding is rather noisy due to near highways. The receptionists looked rather indifferent but they were generally polite. The breakfast was good and there was free internet access. I generally enjoyed staying in this hotel.

We stayed in a triple room. Very spacious and clean. Breakfast was of good quality. Free internet access in the lobby. Very easy to get to from the nearest tram station. The reception staff were friendly and helpful (except for one miserable woman - a reflection on her herself and not the rest of the staff!). The location itself is nothing special, but being on the tram line, it's very easy and quick to get into the centre of Vienna.

We stayed in a triple at the front of the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. It even had a small kitchenette complete with sink, stove, refrigerator, dishes, and cookware! The staff was helpful and accomodating. The tram and metro were right across the street making it quick and easy to get to city center. The only drawback was the noise from the street which made sleeping difficult!
